I was hoping RE4 would get ported to the Switch and was happy to learn that it was., but this is just gouging. I'll wait for a sale.

It would be nice to get Rise & Fall for Switch. If it sold as well as claimed, think it would be an easy choice.

Well, I guess I am going to buy Civ VI again. I hope Rise & Fall is ported over as well. It would be hard to go back to the vanilla game now.

I would happily double dip for X. I have so many fond memories of exploring, interrupted by "Uncontrollable" firing up as Tyrant noticed me.

Now if we could just get Elma in Smash..

I'd consider double-dipping for 2. Easily my favorite of the trilogy.

I will concede that Square isn't nearly as awful as Capcom towards the Switch.

I fully expect that to be the case. I still have little reason to trust that Square is serious about the Switch.

Looks really rough.

Brutal game with fun combat, forgettable characters, and a throwaway story.

A perfect 2D Souls game.

I don't recall ever reading that it was guaranteed to release in the West.

Content that doesn't exist now for the PS4 version but will most likely be released in a Game of the Year edition for half the price of the Switch edition when it releases.

Eh. Kind of hard to support a company that has taken a very lazy approach to the Switch. The collection itself didn't really offer anything new and required you to download the second part of it.

I was looking forward to getting this back on the WiiU before it was unceremoniously canceled.

So the news is there is no news. "Soon" means nothing.

Disappointing.

I need to read some Switch reviews before picking it up. I don't have a whole lot of faith in the developer at this point.

Fair enough but it is certainly hard not to be leery of Capcom with the nonsense they have pulled (tying future support to sales of a Street Fighter port and then saying that wasn't enough.).

A great game. Easily an 8 in my book. I have sunk a lot of time into the PC version and am strongly considering double-dipping for the Switch.

I was thinking of double-dipping on this but the 30 FPS is a deterrent.

Still, for those of you who haven't picked it up on another system, it's an easy recommendation. Loads of fun.

Fantastic game. I just picked it up on Steam for $10 and I'm seriously considering double-dipping for the Switch.

Since I already own it on PC and 360, I was not intending to buy it. Even if I were planning to do so, this delay would have killed it for me. I am sick of companies delaying games and offering pathetic, nebulous reasons as to why. If you want my money, ACT like you care about my money.

That's just it, isn't it? The delays are going to hurt Switch sales, which will prompt the developers to blame the system for the weak sales, and ultimately abandon it. People are not going to double-dip for portability.

Over at Nintendo Everything, it was reported that NamcoBandai, via twitter offered this lame excerpt:

"The Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to Summer 2018, as well as the Solaire of Astora amiibo. We apologise for the delay but rest assured, the extra time will improve your journey to Lordran.

PC/PS4/X1 versions is still coming 25th May 2018"

If it is released next year, I'll be amazed.

Again, why support a company that isn't acting serious about the Switch? It is pretty obvious the Switch version is an afterthought and I will be amazed if it does not end up canceled. And even if it does release, it will have to compete with discounted PS4 and PC versions.

Why even bother?

I used to be excited for this game but that died about 7 months ago.

Definitely going to wait for reviews on the Switch version before considering the game. Too bad by then, the game will be more expensive on the Switch than the other platforms.
