@electrolite77 All comments are noise "mate". Yes portables do sell everywhere. More than in Japan? Didn't think so. Game systems sell everywhere so the point still stands. As does my second paragraph π. Now drop the controller and get to it.
@electrolite77 That's right IGNORE them. If you're in Japan where portable gaming has been all the rage for years then I can see the importance of it. However Japan is not the rest of the world, but it does show Nintendo's primary market.
Also, where in those surveys do you see people saying that they use the Switch as a portable OUTSIDE of their own home? Yeah that's what I thought π. Go socialize with humans. Get some intimacy in your life (it's WAAY more fun than gaming) and stop defending/fanboying over some corporation. Nintendo doesn't love you or care about you.
@sixrings "Does anyone socialize or have sex anymore?" Excellent question π. I'm going out tonight as well. I'm also doing both thingsπ. Gaming is not even a thought when I'm at a club, party, get together. If im meeting up with a couple of gaming buddies at their house or mine that's the exception. The games still are at home though. I happen to like the humans I choose to associate with so I'd rather chat with them.
For what the Switch offers it's too expensive. "Yeah but it offers portability" so what? I have NEVER seen anyone anywhere in public with a switch in their hands. I have seen in it in people's homes connected to a TV. I asked one of my customers if he takes it with him outdoors and he said "Nah, if I'm outside I'm outside. I don't go out to play video games". I'm sure there are people who do but I've never seen it. If I was a parent I sure wouldn't let my kid take such an expensive piece of tech to school to get ruined or stolen.
I damn sure don't see people pull out a Switch at parties like the commercials have you believe πππ. Drop the price and they'll see more sales in the future. I was a hardcore exclusive Nintendo fan up until the WII U. That's when they lost me. The PS4 was a much better investment this generation with a plethora of games and not just exclusives. I actually think PS5 is coming too soon. PS4 is just hitting it's stride IMO.
$149 to $199 is the sweet spot for Switches ancient tech. Especially since Nintendo is allergic to putting their games on sale.
I know most Nintendo fans are keen on having Nier Automata come to Switch. As you should because it's awesome. What would be cool though is to have Platinum games develop a sequel to Drakengard for switch. Hopefully the games being developed are Babylons fall and Granblue. Granblue was supposed to be a PS4 exclusive but maybe they changed their minds.
@impurekind Nailed it there friend. Art style will always trump realism. I feel the same way about the use of 3D engines. They're so much more versatile than something like the last of us or Detroit become human. Dragon Ball fighterz and Guilty gear xrd have shown what's possible using polygons. I'd love to play a fleshed out world in the vain of Akira.
Bring a new monster hunter to switch and I'll bring my switch to work on the daily. Just leave the old mechanics to die. With all of the improvements found in mhw I just can't go back to the clunky stiff style found in past titles. MHW is an accessable title due to it's improvements. While games like generations are still meant for the hardcore fans who resist change. Good for those fans but bad for business.
MHW brought in a whole new batch of players. LOTS of them. They loved world so much that many of them went back to play the older titles only to be completely jarred by their lack of finesse. I can't wait to see what Capcom brings to the switch.
@electrolite77 Which is something that in no way changes my point. The legend of Zelda windwaker HD was a great jump off point for Nintendo to realize that putting in extra work to make an older game look amazing is worth the effort. Yet they just port things over with minimal effort and the game looks essentially the same. Would you rather have the old-school crash bandicoot with an HD skin? Or the one that's been completely rebuilt for current systems including the switch?
@Gamer83 Not really. The remake if shadow of the collosus is not just a simple port. It's a complete from the ground up remake. If Nintendo did more of that they wouldn't get so much criticism.
Looks fantastic. An Imaginative and original take on the shmup genre. A great first effort for these devs. I hope the gameplay and different modes match the visuals.
My wallet would be wide open for a switch pro. Just update the dock. I didn't buy a 3DS until the "new" 3ds was released. Going by the upcoming software I won't be buying a switch anytime soon so if they release an upgraded version next year that works for me.
If I remember correctly Nintendo systems are no stranger to winning awards. Especially since Japan is big on energy conservation. Nintendo systems are known for their low energy consumption for which they've gained lots of recognition. From the Nintendo life archives there was also this article : Wii U Wins "Deals Award" For Being One Of The Best Kids Items This Holiday Season
Not a bad direct. There are a couple of standout titles but nothing that would make me want to run out and buy a switch. Those titles I'm sure will be available in 2019 sometime and perhaps be revealed during E3 (Bayonetta 3 and Metroid prime 4).
Look at all the ravenous fanboys on here πππ. You guys are as bad as religious fundamentalists. Nintendo can do no wrong in your eyes and you dog anyone who forces you to use critical thinking. The Switch has sold well but stop pretending that's it's filled to the brim with quality games. Its "huge" library is half trash. We're also in march. Outside of overpriced WiiU ports (Bayonetta) what have they announced for the next couple of months in 2018? You've got Kirby star allies in March, DKCTF (,WIIu port) in May, Attack on Titan 2 also March, Dark souls remastered (A ps360 port π) in May and a few Indies. Yes yes PS4 and Xbox one are getting the dark souls remaster too but the gamers there are hardly excited over that. Game starved Nintendo fanboys though act as if it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.I love Indies don't get me wrong but steam has a better library of those. Let me guess wait till E3? Wait until half the year is over? LMAO π. That's the same pattern they had with the WiiU. You all forgot that?
They need to drop the price. At this point a port with virtually no noticable upgrades should be cheaper than when first released. Look at Shadow of the Colossus. It was completely Remade from the ground up for PS4 making it one of the best remakes ever released. Not just a straight port. Yet it's priced at a reasonable 39.99.
This is one game that I felt would be better on switch than PS4. Glad to see it's being released. Hopefully it doesn't have the same price as the PS4 version. $19.99 would be acceptable.
@Anti-Matter Sony didn't create these. Also, Nintendo copied Skylanders and Disney copied every other figurine with a base. Did you lose respect for Nintendo because of that? Of course not. Most things are a copy of something else.
Bayonetta 3 and Granblue are both Platinum games exclusives on their respective platforms. Hopefully this next IP will be multiplatform. I love Wonderful 101 and still play it to this day.
@gortsi "dumb dumb" "idiotic" π More adhominems?
You're getting more irrational with every comment. You WERE referring to the original when you said it was "on the Wii (ported from the ps2)" did you not? Are you seriously saying that you were speaking of the HD version? That right there is nonsensical and shows how far off the mark you're willing to go to feel like you "won" an argument.
The list of games crybabies like you have wanted on Nintendo platforms is LONG. I remember. I was a Nintendo exclusive gamer at one point. Then I grew up. The reason you like arguing this point to no avail is to reinforce in your mind the bias that you have. Maybe it's forced upon you in some way. Perhaps by a limited income. Don't worry about that cupcake. Nintendo leaves LARGE gaps throughout the year so that you can save up some pennies. Do that! That way you can afford another system to play games on while Nintendo makes you wait π. This is all conjecture of course but it's probably true. Good night!
@gortsi There was no argument to begin with. You made an irrelevant comment about sodium. I pointed out facts that reflect your feelings. You got butthurt over it then tried to change the subject by making inaccurate statements about Okami HD which I promptly corrected. You got Butthurt again. I told you what my stance was by stating facts about my gaming habits (go to Push Square to see my criticisms about Sony there). Butthurt AGAIN so you decided to make it personal π.
That about sums up our interaction here. Quit while you're behind.
@gortsi LOL you just shoot from the hip without thinking don't you? Okami HD not Okami is being released on PS4 on Dec 12th. All you see is Nintendo fanboy whiners "Please come to SWIIIIIITCH!!!" So YOU'RE WRONG AGAIN.
I don't deny that some PS4 and PC owners want Bayonetta 2 and 3. I'm not one of them though. Why? Because I own the systems that have the games that I want. I have Bayonetta 2 on WiiU. When Bayonetta 3 and Metroid prime 4 come out on Switch I'll buy a Switch then. I also keep up on games being released on switch so I don't forget about them when my purchase is made. I enjoy games not corporations. So any salty tears don't come from me so by all means drink up. There's oceans of salty tears from Nintendo fans though.
@gortsi Yep I'm actually in great shape. I go to the gym everyday and drinks lots and lots of water. Salt levels are way low. How's that steady diet of soda and chips treating you? Not to mention your "I wish, I hope, I pray, (insert game) comes to Switch" diet?
@Kirgo Now you're just making excuses. Just go to an Okami HD video and look at the comments. Every other comment is "why no switch!?" "Please come to switch!"
