@Hamguar Thank you exactly my point . Why should I feel like I'm being held prisoner ? I don't understand why people feel that if we protest by not buying this game in september "it could make them think that there is no audience on wii u and then ..." and then what ? We won't get anymore of their mediocre games ? They owe US the customer , we don't owe them anything . So this "buy our game or else we won't make anymore" attitude that people keep projecting onto ubisoft is uncalled for .

@tealovertoma I was speaking in general using rayman legends as an example . Do you really think that any company losing a large amount of money from consumers not buying their products will fail to take notice ? Who keeps them in business ? Unless they print their own money .
The developers seem like nice guys I wish them well . Oh and rayman as well as mario need to be shelved for awhile .

I'm sorry but I just can't support this anti consumer attitude from companies like ubisoft . The game was done you should have released it . Now you release an extra mode of the game in April ? Why not release that NOW to appease customers .
Rayman legends will be the last thing on my mind come April as I will be neck deep in MHTU . For the individuals saying "you're dumb for not supporting ubi" or "thanks for the bone ubi" , you need to understand the message it sends to large corporations . That message is "here I am abuse me !!". Without our money they (ubisoft) can brought to their knees . Understand the power that you as a consumer can excercise .

@Tsuchiya My launch Wii still runs like new . I would rather risk buying a Nintendo system at launch like I did with every single one than anything made by their competitors especially microsoft (the worst)but not excluding sony .

All of my nintendo systems still run like new and none of them have ever had a faulty part . That is the reliability I want when I drop hard earned money on electronics .

@Lambduh I wouldn't buy a ps4 or xbox720 on day 1 if I were you . Unless you want to experience the purple dot of death or indigo square of doom or whatever other hardware failure names will come with those systems .

In my opinion there was nothing too exciting about this nintendo direct . E3 is still a few months away and by that time there will be more details on sony and microsofts new machines . This was good fan service for nintendo devotees but nothing that would attract new customers and boost sales . Release dates on some big Wii u titles both first and third parties are essential but maybe i've just become too cynical in my old age .

I am interested in that monster hunter bundle though . If we got that in the states I would probably trade in my wii u basic for it . I just love that delicious MH artwork on the box .

Sorry Activision march is monster hunter month . Maybe sometime later I'll give this a try .

Monolith has a brilliant team and being closer to big brother nintendo (the good kind not the government eyeing your every move kind) will only help them refine their expertise . I look forward to spending another couple of hundred hours on one of their masterpieces .

@Vayby_Brown It's not so much the multiplatform thing , It's the fact that it has been delayed another 7 months . This being done mere WEEKS before it's projected release date , not months , not even one month , a couple of weeks .
You're right in that we still get the game but it will be at a time when we are no longer interested . Monster hunter tri ultimate will be out Pikmin 3 will be out Wind waker HD will be out or on the horizon GTA V will be out and many other games will have been announced after E3 . If ubisoft thinks that the hype around rayman legends will be the same or greater by the time september roles around they are dilusional . The PS360 fans that they claim to be appeasing will be so wrapped up in whatever new things are out for their systems that they couldn't care less about legends . Just look at the abundance of rayman origins available brand new for under 20 bucks even less in the bargain bins for proof . Origins was released around christmas time up against Skyrim . Skyrim . It looks like ubisoft hasn't learned their lesson from that . It is an idiotic business decision . One that makes me wonder if something else is going on .

@player310 You are absolutely right . It seems that devs are more comfortable with the status quo and are more concerned with the upcoming latest and greatest which at this juncture seem to offer nothing more than just raw power . The laziness of some of these developers is mind boggling . Why create something new and innovative when we can make call of doodie 10, 000 with better graphics ?
If the wii u fails , which I doubt , then my 25+ years of progressive gaming are over . This will be my last gaming generation and I will dip into retro gaming from now on .

@Five-seveN While it's true Nintendo is not to blame it does affect the perception of the Wii U itself . That in itself angers me because it is a great system .This statement made in the article also angers me " some of which are still awaiting formal release dates ". This is something that Nintendo has to correct or it will lose a sizeable audience .

Seriously they have now sealed the fact that I will not be buying this game .

They should have released this before Ubisoft totally bungled the rayman legends release .

I would much rather spend my hard earned money on wind waker HD which is slated to release in the fall . I'm done with Ubisoft they remind me of the sleazy used car salesmen that tells you "these are 50,000 original miles " when the reality is that it's been rolled back from 300,000.

@Bankai This company will NOT be going out of business just because it goes console exclusive . They could just as easily make an entirely different rayman game for other consoles or none at all and still be fine . Or do you not think that they turned a HUGE profit on Assassins creed alone .

@007 Hit it right on the head thank you Mr.Bond . Mediocre with some shining light on their record in the form of games like beyond good and evil for example . There are some others but you get the point . Retro they are not . "High quality games coming " oh okay humor us by naming one .

@Everly This is exactly how I feel . I normally just sit back and read the articles and some of the comments but not this time . I have been a loyal nintendo customer since the NES and a gamer since the atari 2600 and THIS is the type of crap that should not be happening . Back in those days there were many many many exclusives for each individual system each with their own charms that made you want to go out and get all of the systems . This fiasco with Ubisoft just confirms to me that the golden era of games and gaming in general is gone . I just needed to get that off of my chest , now back to Ubisoft .

I downloaded the Rayman legends demo as a nice stopgap until the game actually released in FEBRUARY . But now forget it . Not only am I deleting the demo but I am not going to be purchasing the game at anytime in the future . Nintendo should make certain contracts so as to keep things exclusive for a time so that their new system can build an audience . At this point those that truly consider themselves "core "gamers won't even look at the Wii U and frankly if things keep going like this I am considering getting rid of my Wii U altogether . Do you really think that these people will even look at the Wii U after sony makes their big reveal on Feb 20th and microsoft not long after ? The nature of people these days is to abandon whats considered last gen tech as you can clearly see with T.V.s phones tablets ect ...I hate to do it nintendo but I'm being pushed after so many years of loyalty . If MH3 U is delayed then thats it , Wii U is gone and it's back to gaming on the Dreamcast until the nintendo I remember is back . This very well may be the big N's last gaming console .

The recent nintendo direct was great . The only problem is that release dates are far far away and can't be counted on . Rant over .
