@mereel yeah they don't - nintendo games aside but putting an updated version on the cart requires a resubmitted rom and nintendo testing it all over again - which can fail delaying things. Much easier to just print off what has been previously submitted to Nintendo. Hence the recent doom collection still being the same as the launch doom cart version. The exception to this rule is when the publisher prides itself on doing it like fangamer did with Stardew Valley. New copies are not updated to version 1.5 on the cart indicated by a sticker on the frint of tge case.
Problem that Sony and Microsoft never understand is all digital never works because retailers won't support it. Nintendo knows this 1000%. I work at a video game retailer and we have never carried the digital only xbox one. The PSP go was sonys first attempt and it failed miserably. Retailers will never endorse or push customers to a one and done sku especially considering retailers make little to nothing selling a console on it's own ($15.00 tops). That's why nes and SNES classics are not a big deal to game stores cause once you buy one we never see you again. It would be the same with an all digital switch. The switch lite at least let's retailers still sell games and carry cases

Then it will give them time to keep adding pokemon. So if you battle someone that has a kanto only pokemon you know he bought the dlc or used the pokemon home app.

let me make cutscenes
let me play multiplayer in new super mario mode
Download full games not levels from gamers around the world
I think if someone can make a world map and worlds and make like mini world even 1-4 levels per world this game will be epic, if not it will just me a clone to the wii u one.

@MasterGraveheart probably more of a get it passed by the esrb which will make them censor some costumes and such so it's not worth the hassle for the amount of units it would have sold. I mean its definitely not a million seller in other markets. I doubt it would even sell 10k units Physically or digital.
These companies are stupid. If your game can sell 8000 just presell the 8000 then build the game. Nintendo forces companies to build a minimum of 4000 of any title so they will be holding back 1000 to sell on amazon at a later date when they are going for 80USD.
Limited run games is the same crap except they are picking way too many odd games just to make a buck.
Whats the point in collecting games now when they only make 4000 of a title a completionist will never get everygame due to these rare sites.
You guys realise that for most smaller retailers they would be stupid for selling to a consumer. For instance the NES classic cost in Canada is like 76.00 and retails for 79.99 so why would a retailer who gets say 4 units sell it to a customer for 79.99 to make $4.00? Then that customer puts it on amazon or ebay for 300.00 might as well just put them on eBay and tell your customer you are sold out.
