Re: Random: Hollywood Legend John Carpenter Doesn't Think Much Of Nintendo Labo

Nemodius

I'm confused....

I love Carpenter movies and I hate Labo (speaking from ACTUAL EXPERIENCE, not assumption), but what the hell was this ???

it was obviously professionally filmed and edited, but what the hell is this ???

was it meant to be a publicity ad FOR Labo gone bad and this is some type of outtake or did he get this for a grandchild and tried it to play with the grandchild and it sucked so bad he felt it necessary to gather his group and make a "Public Service Announcement" with IGN Trashing the Labo ??? what was IGN's original reason for this so late after Labo had been released and for not just anyone reviewing it, but JAMES CAMERON SPECIFICALLY ???
it's more like a skit on James Cordon ???
I mean REALLY, WTF IS THIS ???

Re: Zelda-Inspired Hazelnut Bastille Wants To Bring SNES Magic To Switch, Kickstarter Coming Soon

Nemodius

I have seen a lot of game clones, love them, but most usually fall pretty short to the inspiring game, from watching the vid three times total, it has the look down, seems like it has the feel of the same gameplay mechanics, as I try to find out more about the game, I'm getting more interested, as clones go, I think they hit this one on the nose

@AloftStudio
Nintendo is screwing up with not bringing back Virtual Console and denying players many of the ports they REALLY want and the two top are LoZ: ALTTP & Super Metroid, if this game is released (preferably on cartridge), it will immediately fill a huge void, others will wait, but as reviews (probably positive), your customer base will expand and those who are uber loyal will probably pick it up also.

if this game succeeds, there will likely be a huge demand for your company to make a faithful Super Metroid clone.....

if you need any help, I have a lot of pull in certain areas and I may be able to help increase exposure to your fund page if interested

@AloftStudio
the link to
https://www.aloftstudio.com/hazelnutbastille
comes up blank on my Kindle browser, I tried it on my phone, it was also blank but about 10 seconds later it popped up, I will retract that part, my apologies, but am still concerned about the secrecy on who's involved when asked on Twitter

I have updated the link concern, but am still concerned about your description of the game, I've had all the Zelda games, a few of the early Mana games and all Metroid and Castlevania games and it is very confusing you would describe it as a Metroidvania meets Mana instead of a pefect LoZ: ALTTP

Re: Zelda-Inspired Hazelnut Bastille Wants To Bring SNES Magic To Switch, Kickstarter Coming Soon

Nemodius

Well, I was sold after about the 13 second mark, I hope they will make physical copies available to regular customers, not just "backers", I would like to back it, but if a backer has to invest $80+ for a physical copy, I'm out.

PROBLEM ALERT
I tried going to the link to learn more about how much a backer would have to invest to get a "physical copy", but it just comes up a blank white, maybe it's just my browser,
Update apparently the site not happy with Kindle browser, but works on my Windows browser and my phone, cool

and on their twitter, they described it as a combination of "Metroidvania" & Secret of Mana.....WTH ???
not according to what was shown on the vid, it is a solid, perfect clone of LoZ: ALTTP, it seems weird they can't even correctly describe their game type.

Re: Zombie Outfit Brings The Spooky Season To Super Mario Odyssey

Nemodius

@OorWullie
don't over-analyze why I don't want to update my firmware....you're wrong, my reason is I purchased my hardware and own it, not renting or leasing, it works fine as is and the fact they force you to update to be able to do the things it's already supposed to do, or suffer the consequences is called "extortion", it's principle for me

as for hacking/modding/cracking, ect., I have no interest, because I am a solid cartridge person and hate anything stored in system memory and/or sd card (when it comes to my game systems), so storing stolen games (that are probably infectect with some virus anyway) on a memory card on my expensive ass system ain't gonna work for me

so don't be so rude, that was a presumption that makes you look like a jackass

Re: Video: Huawei Claim their Phone is Better than Nintendo Switch

Nemodius

@BitLounger
it more of a symbiotic relationship, software sells games, but the hardware gives the makers of the games more tools and opportunities to make better games...so one cannot live without the other

but if you wish to argue, I have a portable NES with 256 games on it, all excellent games that sold greatly, I'll let you have for say $300

the games sell the system after all

Re: Video: Huawei Claim their Phone is Better than Nintendo Switch

Nemodius

So it costs more than 3x the Switch (or a Switch and NINE $60 games), and the control is optional, sold separately (Mo Money, Mo Money), is it remote like the Joy-Cons ???, Hmm, no mention...curious and ALSO no mention of ability to hook up to a tv.......most curious

I particularly like the mention of "Increased Portability", when the device looks the same size as the Switch base, add on the "optional control" and seems like it's "increased portability" drops to almost equal to Switch", misleading marketing, yah, nothing new there.

sounds like any regular iPhone, but they hope for third party game producer support

that is NOT a "Rival", it's an attempt at a "Marketing Campaign" against Apple, they will not be able to "Ruin" anything for gaming or Nintendo

Re: Surprise! A Special Version Of The Legend Of Zelda Has Appeared In The Switch's NES Library

Nemodius

@Kamalen
I would like to disagree with your assessment that the game is harder than todays games because we have become complacent in gameplay due to more advanced controls, yet, save for the Switch, all Nintendo portables still use the very same controls as the NES, basic buttons on the right, cross pad/D Pad on the left, select and start, the gameplay of Zelda itself is very simple and my 7 year old loves it and if a 7 year old finds it an easy play and easy difficulty, I'm curious if you have even played LoZ 1

Re: Get Discounts On Zelda, Super Mario RPG And More With The Latest European My Nintendo Rewards

Nemodius

this is NOT a story people want to read about, (yet another example of pathetic scrounging for anything to legitimize their involvement with NL as article writers)

yay...coupon day on 6 dlc/Virtual Console games on 3DS/N3DS & Wii U.

there, one sentence, now how about a REAL story, contact Reggie or some other Nintendo reps that may be able(or willing) to say if Nintendo Direct will begin adding access to games from other systems like SNES, N64, NGC, GBA, GB/GBC, ect.

even if you tried to push for an answer and was refused, it is still an informative article as would the refusal and/or "no comment"

don't ACT like story writers, actually DO THE WORK AND GET OUT THERE AND BE REPORTERS ¡¡¡

Re: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Physical Release Will Require A 6GB Day One Update

Nemodius

@Kalmaro
I agree people should get a memory card, but product marketing has become so ingratiated and synonymous with "quality", people are afraid to buy the cards I resell on ebay and Amazon, 256GB cards for $25, I buy them for slightly less of course, but I test them and properly format for use in tablets and Switches, but it's the fact they are so low price and made by some no name company from China that makes people afraid, and my job of selling harder, so people feel forced to buy 128 & 256 card for $50-$80 and a lot of people feel if they are going to be forced to pay that price, they might as well just buy a lower capacity one cheaper and a cartridge game and switch the sd cards out

hi-cap cards won't come down any time soon as long as there is not a better and universal technology for storage, as long as they can get away with it, they will over charge for those cards as long as possible

it's the dark side of commerce, happens most commonly in the dairy and petroleum industry also

Re: Zerodiv Bringing Sengoku Cannon To Switch eShop Next Week

Nemodius

@SetupDisk
your "No Shirt" guy (Aiyn) doesn't wear pants either, all he wears is a piece of cloth over his crotch that is also crawling between his ass cheeks, and the skinny girl with the red hair (Junis) who looks about 14, has no skirt or pants either, also nothing but a string thong below the waist, but she actually (in the last game) was shown flaunting it like the Bat Signal everytime she popped up, looks the same here too, then there's the woman in black (Kaen) who's nips are her secondary weapon, put your eyes out and blind you, all of the games were ALWAYS S**tty games, but very popular because of the characters T&A

Re: Zerodiv Bringing Sengoku Cannon To Switch eShop Next Week

Nemodius

at least Mega Man 11 has other aspects, this type of game got way overused in the 90's and was basically overkilled killed off by the TG-16.

hey, ramen may be awesome, but eat it everyday for far too long and you get REAL sick of it REAL quick and for the rest of your life and exposure to even slightly better stuff makes you never want to anyway, this game is dated and stupid, no matter how many bountifull, bouncing boobs, poking nips and plump, firm, round bum cheeks hang out in interuptions and cut scenes

Re: Zerodiv Bringing Sengoku Cannon To Switch eShop Next Week

Nemodius

A yes, yet ANOTHER mediocre (if that) game that has to make up for it and also get players attention with girls T&A hanging out.

obviously that makes it an awesome game, maybe while bouncing around a nip will accidentally on purpose pop out, or a gust of wind will blow up the bottom and you can see her thong...or more
honestly, didn't these type of side scrolling flying/floating in mid air/space games go out with the 90's,
NO WONDER THEY HAVE TO FLASH SOME T&A, this isn't a "mediocre" game, this is just a stupid outdated game trying to come back to life with the help of skin and hot bods.....oh, hell yah, look at her...hey, tight, black leather with hard nips trying to escape.....gotta love it right ???

oh hey, what was the game about again ???

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Complete Analysis Of Mega Man 11

Nemodius

@Kalmaro
yah, not a bad observation, but running or standing, he still looks silly, put a large beachball over the side of your arm and have a friend take a pic of you, it's not a perfect comparison, but gives you an idea how stupid it looks, LOL, in earlier games, it was not much different than Samus' gun-arm, cylindrical and a realistic size, now imagine how (NOT) cool Samus would look if her gun-arm was a big orange beach ball ???

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Complete Analysis Of Mega Man 11

Nemodius

I know the big M has had various shapes of his gun-arm, but I think the over-exaggerated bulbous nature of it has gone too far this time and could have been a little better, it's not an important thing really, but his arm transforms back and forth from hand to gun and seeing it turn into a giant oblong ball just looks silly

@SimplyCinnamon53
go onto imdb.com
then look him up, he's been the Joker for over 20years, plus he played a similar DC character, a nemesis of the Flash called "The Trixster", he player that character many times, in the live action 1991 show The Flash, in the newer show and in the animated 2005 Justice League, he was also Robin for a while in the 90's Batman animated series, he's been a professional voice actor for many years, but just for the hell of it, look up Batman the animated series, Superman (animated) and Justice League & JLU and look at the voice cast, you may be suprized just how many big celebrities do voice acting, the DC shows were the best because Andrea Romano was responsible for it

Mark Hamill is the second best Joker by a lot of people's standards, and considering how many live and animated Jokers there has been, that pretty damn good
