Re: Roarr! Launches On Switch Today, Promises To "Make Jurassic Park Look Like Some Fairytale"

@AstralOrange64
Is Your Glass Half Empty Astral ???

I don't see the ease of everybody and his/her brother able to make a game a bad thing flooding the eshop market to the point where it's difficult to find the good games, that's what reviews are for

yes there are an assload of med. and low quality games, but seriously, a lot of these people have never even done this, Nintendo opened a door, people's early creations are going to be bad, but hopefully they will learn and improve the games from there, that happens even in the big game producer world, even though I often comment on aesthetic preferences (mine) game wise, I also don't limit myself to them either, Roarr looks to be a very barren game content wise, one layered, and I'm not past that, I would've like to see some texturing at least, that's why I said it should be a less than $20 game, which it is apparently, but I also bought Axiom Verge, graphically a very retro 8-bit NES clone of the original Metroid, but it had so much more content and story and gameplay was fantastic, it was easily worth the $20 I paid

don't think that Indies/Nindies are a bad thing, think of them as opportunities for great things, I think that will make a little sifting seem less.........tedious or unworthwhile

Re: Switch Sales Rise In Japan This Week Despite Lack Of New Major Releases

Nemodius

might be stocking up thinking that sales. in countries that celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas will run low and they can sell on ebay and Amazon for some jacked up price....
I see it all the time, that and where they buy a brand new game, a system, sell it as a "bundle" (with a pic of the official bundle displayed), but they charge an extra $40-$50
since they don't usually word it as "official", selling all items together in one package is legally considered a "bundle" and complaints to Amazon and ebay are ignored.....few negative ratings

so next time you go looking at ratings on a particular reseller, be verrry, verrry distrusting

Re: The 8BitDo GBros. Lets You Wirelessly Connect Your Battered GameCube Controller To Switch

Nemodius

@Sinton
your statement was very confusing, you'd rather go get the pro controller, because even though you already have an NGC controller, you don't want to add another

??? that seems very........contradictory
you don't want to add a controller, so you would rather add a controller rather than a tiny adapter for one you already have ???

"I simply have too many controllers lying around."

@Trajan
Yah, celebrity admiration is one thing, but a lot of these (especially singers and models) get almost diefied, I mean hey, I LOVE Jamie Lee Curtis, always have, had a crush on her for long time, but I was never so bad that even as a teen, if she walked up to me and had popped a boob out and rubbed it on my face, my pants would not fill with naughty juice, I love Metallica, Run DMC or Sylvester, but if I were invited on stage and handed an autographed anything, (yes, I LOVE heavy metal, Rap AND disco, get over it, I'm a sinner) I would not burst out in tears, ect., but too many people live their lives by these people and it's ridiculous

(another mortal sin, I am also a hard core Star Wars guru, a hard core Trekkie, (yes, it IS "Trekkie ) and a Hell Bent Whovian since the 70's, LOL, don't know why that pisses so many people off, being all three at once equally, but I don't care, LOL)

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

@dougphisig
I had just rewatched it 7 times (season 2, episode 7, 17 minute mark)

I have a 1080p HD, didn't matter, paused the hell out of it during the 7 times I watched it, the brightness turned ALL the way up and saw the same thing over and over I see in the pictures above and on other sites and Twitter, a reddish, geometric shape in the shadow with a bit of light reflecting off the top of it, also geometric in shape...
excluding the top/left part of what is supposed to be the "bone", the other two outer sides are also very flat and geometric, bones don't make sharp 90deg turns, sorry, I'm going to have to just say it can't be confirmed (by me), but consider the possibility, that the internet is full of pranksters and even false info goes viral, plus the supposed person on Twitter that is supposed to be the person involved, did not actually tell the guy that submitted the pic that he was correct per se', he did say "congratulations", but it's not unrealistic that he could have been screwing with the guy too, he never actually really commented on it further after that one word, so it could all really just be that people want to see the U.F.O. in the bad, picture so much that they really do think they see it, not saying true, just saying it is not an unrealistic hypothesis

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

into the 17 min. mark of season 2, episode 7
I have a Fire 1080 HD 10", brightness turned all the way up, I'm looking at it now and i see even better than the picture.....
a geometric piece of stone with some light reflecting off the triangular top corner, I have rewatched that part of the fight 7 times now and it just doesn't seem to be anything but a broken brick

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

@MegaVel91
don't be a jackass MV, I said I didn't want to spend a whole day scrutinizing every every second of every episode (except the REAL last episode 8, NOT 7)

I also said I want to see it, I was asking for assistance to gather the necessary information....that IS "research"

now I will show my appreciation and say thanks for the info on the episod btw, I'll check out S2/E7 on my tablet at work right now, since I'm going to be waiting a while for the committee to give me an answer on my funding

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

the ONLY Castlevania easter eggs I have ever seen are during the credits of the original Castlevania NES game, it displays the names of the various monsters and wirter and such, but next to the names were actors (and an author) of people who played those parts in the old Universal Studios movies and some others, but the names are slightly altered probably to avoid legal issues, it's cool as hell, but for the life of me, I can't find this Pork Chop for shnizzit in the show

Merry Dark Christmas from Transylvania everyone !!!

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

@goggles789
even in the Twitter page, where the person says congratulations, the pic is crap quality and the owner of the Twitter account didn't actually talk about it, I know I would have, why, why in that spot on that scene, where so many others could have also qualified, it's just all too questionable, come on people, give me the S, E & T !!! I WANT to see it, but this refusal to help just makes me question its validity more, a very low quality pic, which gets worse as you try to zoom in and for a piece of meat and its accompanying bone, it is just way to geometrical

in all other articles here on NL that some info is questioned, a dozen readers will go WAY THE FRACK out of their way to find confirming proof and/or fix/correct wrong info, sometimes to the point a verbal posting war breaks out for ten+ pages, yet no one is willing to help here ???

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

@MegaVel91 @Zuljaras
I have looked at the pictures available here and from other sites, I just don't see a piece of meat with a bone sticking out, what I see is too geometric in shape, including "the bone", but I have also REPEATEDLY asked for higher quality pics AND the season, episode and time stamp at where that specific image appears, lots of people claimed to have seen it on show but refuse to say which season, episode and time, so OBVIOUSLY I have not completely dismissed the possibility, but have very good reason to question, also I just don't want to spend 6-8 hours pausing every five seconds through 11 possible episodes, so chill and give me the ability to find and see it

Re: Nintendo's System Specs Have Always Been A "Big Barrier" For Bethesda

Nemodius

I'm going to leave it like this, Switch great idea and it was implemented perfectly, it is not perfect, but it proved many things, raised some bars and made competitors take notice, Nintendo hasn't really been up there with Sony and Microsoft for some time, save for game sales, but now they have a system that is a direct threat and threat to game sales, so I do see the competition seriously considering making serious changes

anyway, big day tomorrow, wish me luck y'all !!!

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

I do think one of the reasons the show did so well was that Dracula was NOT the villain, not exactly, it was the church and D's generals, D was perfect, they humanized him, he was broken and betrayed and you were constantly reminded of that, even in his agenda, he was iffy at times, he even showed compassion in the way he wanted it done and why he trusted the two humans more than his own generals......"that's all they are to you.....cattle."

they so easily could have made him just the stereotypical blood thirsty, tyrannical murderer, it would have made the character monochromatic and blahze', as bad as things were looking, you always felt bad for D, not hateful

the best villains in literature, tv and movies (and games) are ones that make you think that maybe they are not wrong and/or empathize with greatly

Re: Random: Castlevania Animated Series Makes Hilarious Reference To Original Game

Nemodius

@Schwarcz
honestly I think episode 8 was a little frivolous, they would have done better with a 40 min extended episode 7 than a full episode 8, I understand what they tried to do...a follow up/set up episode, but the problem was they really didn't do anything to make you wonder what's next ???

Sypha & Trevor are like totally friendly now and Alucard has a pad, cool, and some emotion, it was great but it was more like a dragged out post credit set of scenes, and really didn't do or hint that even though D is bye, bye, the series is far from done

Re: Random: Lady Gaga Reveals She's A "Secret Gamer Girl" Who Has Been Playing Bayonetta

Nemodius

@Schwarcz
no offense to Brie Larson, gorgeous young lady, but I think Ronda Rousey (MMA) types or some current/former military personnel types
typically, a lot of the young "hot" women in hollywood just can't pull off that hardened, battle tested facial expressions and bodily movements, they try to act it, but can really never know and it shows on screen, it should be someone who knows what it's like to be beaten and give the beatings as well as guage threat assessments in feild and strategize on the go, millitary or martial artists are perfect

Re: Random: Lady Gaga Reveals She's A "Secret Gamer Girl" Who Has Been Playing Bayonetta

Nemodius

why should it seem so weird that celebs and other types of people who game is so unusual ???

I am a theoretical physicist, yet i LOVE Star Wars AND Star Trek
(yes, I am a hard core fan of BOTH, get over it), I am also a hard core Whovian since the 70's and yes, I game

a shnizzit load of seemingly wierd ideas that are contradictory to who I am and my career, but when it comes down to it.....I'm just a person, and people love all sorts of things, well, actors, singers, big business men (and women) are just people too, so why should Lady Gaga going Bayonetta seem surprising or even interesting at all ???

(the Samus Aran blond girl looks like a young Darryl Hannah, yummy)

Re: SNK Producer Was Amazed How Audiences Reacted To "Fatal Cutie" Terry Bogard

Nemodius

@NotTelevision
I grew up 60's, 70's, 80's...
"feminism" was about being equal, women were very strong, but could still be themselves too

today's "feminist" are entitled wanna-be's, with a misconception of what it is and are also very hypocritical, what's not good for the gander is still good for the goose, and are weak willed, but manipulative and selfish

it's disgusting the pretend "me too", has nothing to do with empowering a meaningful ideal, it's used like a threat, everybody's afraid to look at another person lest he be accused of something

sometimes, the old ways were better, ask Mary Tyler Moore

Re: SNK Producer Was Amazed How Audiences Reacted To "Fatal Cutie" Terry Bogard

Nemodius

my view about over sexuallized female characters is not like others I think, when I say it's "inappropriate", I'm speaking more "mechanically", various games have these great big, huge oversized walls of walking muscles true, but in most cases, these are WARRIORS !!!
RPG's, fighting games, action/adventures, these are guys who have to deal with the worst of the worst, though some can also get ridiculous also, that is an explanation, but let's put aside that these are fiction and fantasy, not real world, lets look at this
how effective is a woman or girl in some cases going to be in battle or a brawl if their oversized boobs are preventing them from doing anything (in real life), if I saw Christiana Hendriks trying to swing a sword at me, or Kat Dennings, throwing right crosses, or Amber Rose casting spell and firing a gun, all of them wearing as little or less as possible, I would laugh my ass off as they got their asses knocked out and/or killed

it's a cheap way for companies to add sales and/or distract consumers from what would normally be a mediocre or worse game, I recognize that "sex sells", and i am as much a lover of the human body as anyone, but for God sake, sell the game on it's own merrits.
now what i REALLY do hate is when anime' goes out of their way to make the girls have porn star bodies but the faces of 8-12 year old girls, now don't try to B.S. by saying "it's the drawing style that makes female characters look so young"
that's a crock of SNIZZIT, I have watched hundreds of anime' shows and movies and read manga since the early 70's, those miracle artists can practically fine tune age appearance by the month, so don't try that, those images are meant to propagate and stimulate a certain response on purpose

Re: Success Of Nintendo's Mini Systems Made It "Perfect Timing" For SNK To Release Its Own Device

Nemodius

*tiny screen that is placed at 100deg angle to the control makes a pain to play unless you are almost level with head
*the stick less than 3/4" from nearest button makes easy to screw up moves
*button large size but so close to the other buttons makes for easy misstaken button press
*the tower type construction shape lends it to getting rocked back and forth while playing, making it even more difficult
*the tiny square shape make it almost impossible to play in a handheld style

now the real fun stuff...
it costs *$150
REALLY BAD NEWS ALLERT.....ONLY FOUR GAMES !!! (not 20, not 15 or even 10....just 4 !!!) that is literally $37.50/per game.....
*you can hook it to your HDMI tv, but CABLE SOLD SEPARATELY !!!
(add $10)
*you can add a special, full sized NeoGeo handheld controller (NOT like the original arcade type controllers), but it is a wired (not wireless) also sold separately, it is proprietary, can't just use any usb controller and can't use this controller on anything else
another "btw", the button configuration differs from the one on the "console" (snikkers), so don't get too used to that either
(add ANOTHER $33) (yikes, $33 for a proprietary WIRED controller ???, Oh Heeeeeeeelllll NO !!!)

so for a total of $193 ($48.25/game), you can have your fun, but at almost the price of any two other "Mini" consoles that actually comes with all their hookups

btw, imagine what is going to happen with your NeoGeo being tower design and low stable center of gravity, while you are attempting to play with the extra controller and the cord is pulling the "console" (LOL) side to side, tossing it around

it is an overpriced nifty for your desk at work to sit next to your Samus Aran & Nikola Tesla Pop Funko figures collecting dust.......

don't get me wrong, I'm NOT trying to talk anyone out of it, I thought it looked AWESOME...at first, so I did a lot of investigating and remembering what other products just like this are like (no this is NOT an original product btw), and looking up all that it does and comes with...and does NOT come with, no not trying to turn people off, just letting people know what they are in for
ENJOY !!!
