Re: The 3DS Is Far From Dead, Nintendo Says It's "Continuing With Efforts To Expand Sales"

Nemodius

@thesilverbrick
it's hardly a "Zombie", perhaps you have given up on it, but far too many have not, the Wii U has been dying a slower death than it should have, it should have commited suicide by now and with Switch, it's functions pretty much make it obsolete, but 3ds is still loved and it does bring something to the table that Switch cannot, the two screen gameplay, I love mine, still play it couple times a week, because of its format, you can't just port games over to the Switch, and it just has such a huge library of such tremendously loved games, not as many people will. ditch it as you hope, so yah, the 3DS will remain both active and VERY relative for years to come

Re: SNES Mini And NES Mini Combined Global Sales Surpass 10 Million Mark

Nemodius

@YANDMAN
why would anyone try to hack those things ???
you go online looking to hack things like that and you find dozens of generic copies preloaded with over a 100 NES or SNES, PSX, N64 and I even saw a NGC once at a flea market, most all older systems depending, but for half the price you'd pay for your NES mini or SNES mini, you can find portables preloaded with a 100+ SNES games and all of these things sold for half that of the officials, (some of the better portables also hook up to your tv too)
there are also Raspberry Pi kits with official looking cases and you can load as many games you want,

so again, why would anyone want to hack those "Official Mini systems" ???

Re: Monster Hunter Movie's Milla Jovovich Shares New On-Set Photo To Reassure "Worried" Fans

Nemodius

@westman98
Milla Jovovich is a gorgeous face, this is true, but the only movie I like that she was in was a movie where her first scene was wearing a white ribbon across her breasts and another across her crotch....

even then, if you actually analyze her acting in that movie, she was hardly involved and every other movies i have seen her in larger parts were great disappointments, like some others, now that i know she is in a movie, I worry more, combind that with a videogame movie and I'm thinking a weapon of mass destruction for use against Russia or North Korea, it will cause them all to commit suicide

@Anti-Matter
Anti-Matter, I like you and everyone is entitled to their own choice of lifestyle, even their preferences for game types, but get this strait my friend...

you are not Jesus or Confucius, phrasing your personal positions as right and other are wrong being fact is not going to happen here, not that it matters because there is ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE FOR RELIGION OF ANY KIND, NOR POLITICAL PROPAGATION IN THESE FORUMS

this is for gaming related talk only, if you wish to assert your superiority, do it in facebook or some other appropriate venue, this site is not it,
even when i defend some preference of some game related subject that others may not, i still assure people, these are my opinions and don't judge those who do not agree with mine

you are losing your objectivity and becoming vain, so either play it cool or play somewhere else

Re: Rumour: Netflix's Castlevania Executive Producer Is Apparently "Working" On A Legend Of Zelda Series

Nemodius

@UmbreonsPapa I put that specific person for impa because I have known CCH Pounder to show a lighter side, but for the most part, Twilight Princess Impa is Zelda's personal guard and trainer of all the guards in the castle, she is a brusk and serious woman of both physical, but mental power too, i have seen Pounder play that type of role many times very well, and I love Jeremy Irons, and though he does have a tenor to his voice that gives him a gravelly tone, his English refinement still always comes through, even when he gets angry, I would be very confused hearing Alfred Pennyworth ordering Zelda's capture and my death, but had the right idea for sure

also think you're right about Robin, Scott Menville would make a great choice
I like the Telma addition, but for the life of me i can't thi.k who would do her right, what do you suggest ???

Re: Rumour: Netflix's Castlevania Executive Producer Is Apparently "Working" On A Legend Of Zelda Series

Nemodius

@LUIGITORNADO
like i said, make some suggestions for who you would like to hear the voice of Link to be, my post (#34) listed several actors I think could pull off some characters

think of some movies and tv shows youve seen, think of what you would like Link to look like (and his persona) in an animated show and figure out the best combination (Just anything but the frivolous, smartass prankster they made him in the original tv series)

don't wish for a talking Link.....Make Him Talk !!!

Re: Rumour: Netflix's Castlevania Executive Producer Is Apparently "Working" On A Legend Of Zelda Series

Nemodius

@UmbreonsPapa
people have such a tremendously high standard for Zelda and Metroid, anything short of a top notch (like millions dollars per major actor) cast and production fx companies like ILM (with a Star Wars budget) and a majorly over paid awesome director familiar with each type of movie will do, like Peter Jackson for a Zelda type movie and Michael Bay for a Metroid like movie, otherwise people will be so brought down by their own over expectations, it would probably hurt the game series big

Re: Rumour: Netflix's Castlevania Executive Producer Is Apparently "Working" On A Legend Of Zelda Series

Nemodius

God help me i hope they don't screw th pooch like they did on the original

I got an idea.....list voice actors you would like to play which characters

Pig Ganon: Powers Booth
Gannondorf: Michael Ironside

Twilight Pincess Impa: CCH Pounder
Zelda: Dana Delaney
Sahasrala: Scott Rummell
Link: Michael Rosenbaum
misc. males: Frank Welker
misc. females: Maria Canels-Barrera

Re: Amid Closures And The Decline Of Print Media, Raspberry Pi Is Launching A New Games Mag

Nemodius

God help me i luvs my Raspberry Pi's, I'm fixing to get the 3 B+ next month for a special project that most people use Arduinos for, but the Duino is too limited for what I need the 3 B+ for

I was also considering making a PSX out of another 3 B+ in March just for fun and i miss my PSX and games

(and before anyone says "Naughty, naughty, those need ROMs", let me reassure you I don't give a shnizzit about games that have not only been out of production in forever, but I owned the hard copies, so as far as I'm legitimizing, I'm playing backups, so judge me, but also floss your teeth with the hair on my tukus for judging me !!!)

Re: Feature: Castlevania Season 2 Review: Drac's Back In A Vastly Superior Second Series

Nemodius

well, just binged watched both seasons today and I have to say I loved it, a lot, well written, acted, it looks great, even the music, I'm not going to spoil, but i hope they do a third season

even if you've never played or heard of Castlevania or even don't care for anime', this show will change your mind, I especially love the "odd couple" thing going on between Trevor and Alucard

Re: Monster Hunter Movie's Milla Jovovich Shares New On-Set Photo To Reassure "Worried" Fans

Nemodius

@jpfan1989
I personally loved the 1st AvP movie, not the others so much, I don't know this Anderson guy, I do like that movie, I own most Alien, Predator, Alien/Predator and the first Prometheus movie because I generally like them as a franchise, but some could have been better done, have not seen Prometheus 2 yet, so can't judge.

but as actual videogame movies go (the ones directly converted, not ones about videogames) I have yet to be completely or even mildly impressed, except for the Tron series, awesomely done, both, anyway, it's just too hard to squeeze a whole game mythos into a 90-120 minute movie, plus since no one wants to spend a really large budget on those types of movies, it's difficult to get decent resources and actors, so at best, mediocre movies are made, but usually not even that,

even with some better actors, videogames just have too much trouble, I saw DOOM was on Netflix the other day, so i checked it out, by the end i felt I wasted 2 hours of my life, it sucked, Castlevania interestingly is an AWESOME show, animated, but fantastically done, I just think, even though I'd like to see some games on the silver screen, like Metroid or a live Knuckles the Echidna, and DEFINITELY the Force Unleashed, I'm positive they just can't be done right at all

Re: The Sega Mega Drive Turns 30 Today

Nemodius

@Meaty-cheeky
I remember when i got my first Genesis, Sonic was such a unique game compared to other side scrollers, the following 2, 3 and Sonic/Knuckles was worth the price of the system alone

Re: The Sega Mega Drive Turns 30 Today

Nemodius

I don't recall having headphone volume control on my Genesis....
now that i think of it, I don't remember a headphone jack at all ???

I guess there was a lot of changes between the Mega Drive and the Genesis in the west, curious

Re: Monster Hunter Movie's Milla Jovovich Shares New On-Set Photo To Reassure "Worried" Fans

Nemodius

tis still my opinion the dragons shown in the preview and the picture above look more like plastic models, very detailed and nice looking, but it still just looks like those high dollar table top D&D figures, not even the incredibly realistic puppet used in the 80's movie "Dragonslayer", nor cgi, which i guess cgi that does not look like cgi is a good think, it still looks terribly fake will this movie be the next Mario Bros. or Resident Evil (not bad but not a very good representation of the game), or the very bad DOOM ??? who knows, but as videogame movies go, they don't have a very good record and neither do most Jovovitch movies

Re: Random: These Stylish Rail Covers Will Protect Your Switch From Fall Damage

Nemodius

@goggles789
my problem is most certainly NOT against the advertising of the "fund-me" pages myself, had you read through my whole statement, I had one issue, the hypocrisy of advertising such pages when it is against policy for forums to do as such because it is unfair to the many of others, i said also that i understood if the propagater of the "fund-me" page actually paid to advertize, I also even suggested a prioritized forum page for "fund-me" pages to be advertised by the owners.

next time read before you question a person's comments

Re: Rumour: There Doesn't Appear To Be A Switch Physical Edition For World of Final Fantasy Maxima

Nemodius

is there a video for this game ???
I love Chibi memorabilia, Einstein and Tesla are on my work desk displayed prominently, but God I HATE chibi style games, I accept babied style games if it is appropriate to the theme of the game, (FF- 6 & FF-XV being a BIG example of NOT appropriate to the game's theme).

I am a very aesthetically minded person when it comes to my games, and converting or producing such mashed up games just doesn't fly, I'm all for graphically upgraded games, but don't screw them just because chibi has hit a popularity high !!!

Re: Review: LEGO Harry Potter Collection - A Wizarding Wonder That's Only Just Beginning To Show Its Age

Nemodius

@TuragaNuva
Fantastic Beasts is ztill current and I would love a related Lego game, so is Star Wars, and yes, Potter memorabilia is selling still, but are usually less costing and have a larger fan base, remember, you're not just playing to videogame players, and not even just Lego game players (because not all Lego game players are Lego Potter fans), so they have to attempt to interest a very specific Harry Potter Lego game players, and again, unless it's an all in one, the Potter players would likely less interested than they were 5 years ago when the last game came out and I just don't think they can pull it off

Re: Review: LEGO Harry Potter Collection - A Wizarding Wonder That's Only Just Beginning To Show Its Age

Nemodius

@sleepinglion
I totally agree with a Star Wars compilation, but only because it is still relevant, with continued production of new movies and the planned "The Mandalorian" broadcast series (they killed the movie, but went with a tv show), again, it's still fresh and up to date series, Potter and LOTR games are dead and probably would not recover the cost to make the games very well

Re: Review: LEGO Harry Potter Collection - A Wizarding Wonder That's Only Just Beginning To Show Its Age

Nemodius

Both me and my wife love the Lego games (including Potter), but I think trying to port Lego Potter is not a smart move, the popularity of Potter, though pretty firm on the book and movie front, the games were based on the current (at the time) up to date popularity, the last movie (8-pt 2), was released in 2011, the game in 2016, but it still had a small game fan base, but it didn't sell well, now putting out a Potter porter (probably 2019) 8 years after the last movie is not a good call.

I think the only way they can get away with it would be a massive 1-8 compilation, I think even separate 1-4 & 5-8 compilation would not be received well

not a good decision

Re: Random: These Stylish Rail Covers Will Protect Your Switch From Fall Damage

Nemodius

you know, most protection envelopes for cellphones cover most surfaces and the screen area is raised around the border, some are pretty rugged and awesome, but even then, dropped just right the screen is still susceptible but far reduced chance, the only things these protect is the rails, kind of a waste, if you were to make one, reproduce the more effective cellphone designs, but leave the rails open.

hell, constantly taking the rails off and putting on so they can charge, (even when the Switch is unplugged), people will get very tired, REALLY quick and chuck them in the trash

***

I'm also very curious, isn't advertising fund-me sites against some kind of policy, seems kind of unfair to a lot of others who are making game or system related items, do these people pay for the adds ???
or is it a personal ad from the article writer ??? (in which again be unfair to others)
frankly I think this and other unpaid advertising fund-me articles (even ones for seemingly good items/games) should be removed/disallowed,
either that or change the policy on the forums about advertising products/sites, an application to advertise on a special, prioritized forum page, this unfair policy needs to be changed

Re: Guide: 15 Spooky Nintendo Switch Games To Fear This Halloween

Nemodius

I will recognize that Binding of Isaac falls less under "Creepy" and more like "Incredibly Disturbing", I mean, no matter how many times you play it, a baby running around doing some (and having some) gruesome shnizzit is pretty bad, it wasn't very fun, I see the unique novelty that drew/draws so many people to it, but take away some of it and it was pretty boring for me, it was the first (and as yet only) Switch game I have traded away

(remember this is "personal opinion", so no one get insulted like some people do here)
