@Lalivero it is his appearance, he looks very much like a (my EXACT words) "Link"-ish, which also is supported by what you said also Too many Link variants also, at least Zelda and Sheik, though TECHNICALLY the same person, their physical appearance totally set them apart, hell, took me a while playing Zelda before I realized Sheik was even a girl much less the Princess herself so anotther, slender, young dirty blond elf looking boy is not necessary (I also added the word "OPINION", not fact, so it would be clear I was speaking ONLY for myself and not even a presumed minority that may agree with me)

Why in God's name would they want to make original titles available to their competitors, Nintendo's hardware has sold a fair amount, but what keeps them as a competitor to systems that have better hardware and more desirable added functions such as streaming media, and lots of other fun stuff, their original titles are what hold them up, if they had all their stuff available to Sony or Microsoft consoles, no one would buy Nintendo consoles anymore (except Switch since the hardware pretty much sets itself apart), but it would still hurt
it would be even worse if they tried making titles that were "Exclusive" to "X Station" and "Playbox", many Nintendo customers might feel betrayed (strong word I know) and go to Sony or Microsoft for spite, not even because of the games
??? Huuuuhhhhh ???
Ummm.......unless they plan on making unlicensed and unauthorized (and possibly patent infringing) cartridge designs, I just can't see it, but I am VERY curious about that statement and just what the hell they had in mind
ok, a celebrity promoting a videogame, nothing new, but why SPECIFICALLY Chris Pratt for South Korea ???
I mean, most celebrities that promote games are either from the country, of the same general region or even at the very least speak the language, so is there something I DON'T know about Chris Pratt ???
@GrailUK
same issue, why the hell do they do these things, (I think that Ashton Kutcher one is part of some late night with whoever in SK, not a real commercial, just saying, LOL)
@AdamTendo pro controller with audio output, hmmm.... could use three Bluetooth frequencies, the two it normally uses simultaneously +1 for audio relay to the controller, if the Nintendopes at development would fix that little bit
@Fake-E-Lee never thought I could find a game like Gauntlet I could love as much as the original Gauntlet, but I do have to say, my love of Gauntlet and tabletop RPG's rolled into one game All I can say for Diablo is....
@IceEarthGuard then take it up with the person who wrote the article, I went by THAT information, so if the info in an article was missing pertinent information, (nothing new here) shouldn't you be telling them
but, again, all I had an issue with was their ability to try and sell that type of product at that price ($35) so if it is ACTUALLY $15, perhaps you should mention that to Mr. Craddock
I'm not going to speak for everyone, but I don't want NES games (well, not JUST NES), they took away VC, but most of the games I want are SNES games, I want to play, Super Metroid, Super Mario All Stars, Mario World 1 & 2, Mario RPG, and God knows how many others, no offense, but screw NES, give me a reason to get Nintendo Direct, NES games may be accepted for now, but people will want a hell of a lot more than JUST NES games
@NintendoNomad that was just one example, all other companies versions also look almost identical, little sideways dongle and a male to male adapter
WARNING !!! WARNING NOMAD ROBINSON !!! most companies make at least TWO versions, a transmitter version and a receiver version, the item and packaging all look almost identical so make sure you double check the description and/or the package for the one that says "Transmitter" or "Transceiver", NOT "Receiver" places like Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy sell these in store, and even though Best Buy will usually have the type you are looking for in stock, they also usually charge more for the same brand than Wal-Mart does
@aaronsullivan I said 1-1.5 second delay only because I knew others would try to use those numbers as defense, in all my years and several different 3.5mm jack Bluetooth transmitters I have never experienced more than a .75 second delay to be realistic
@roadrunner343 I did try to word the part about slight delay being no big in most cases of just music or sound fx (excluding verbal audio) as personal and thought I successfully implied, perhaps my attempts were not as 100% as I intended, but again I did also say I'd rather take a slight delay and still have the ability to charge, I figured that also reiterated it was personal preference, but if I didn't quite express myself clearly enough, I apologize and hope this fixes any confusion
but taking a whole 1-2 paragraphs to say that no delay works better for your style of gaming and game selection does seem defensive
so I hope you understand why it seemed like you were defending your preferences against mine rather than just saying it doesn't work for you,
@IceEarthGuard did not know about number of physical copies, but I did also mention that even if it was solely digital, it's the price that will hold back their sales at all, which only makes it worse if they attempt to sell it digital for $35
@RupeeClock
I also included the cost of all materials (and assumed misc costs like pakaging which includes art cost) in the estimated per/physical copy cost of $8
back to the comparison.....
A: Selling 100 games at a small profit per each game sold @ $35 = $3,500 minus $800 cost ($8/copy)
= $2,700 profit
B: Selling 10.000 games at a loss of profit per each game sold @ $15 = $150,000 minus $80,000 cost
= $70,000 profit
yes, if you can't get the numbers because no one wants to pay $35, that lesser $70,000 profit does make a bigger profit in total sales
@Aneira I am all for profit, it's what business is about, that company is not making "not for profit" games, but I think you just don't see what I'm saying.......
Wal-Mart makes a 18 speed Roadmaster mountain bike, it's crap, very basic, not really good overall, Schwinn makes one, better, higher quality, for $150 now the if tried to sell their Wal-Mart Roadmaster for $350 which would you rather buy ???
(btw, the cost of the Roadmaster bike is $30, they sell it for $80, and they sell a lot, but they wouldn't be able to sell it at all if it was sold at $350
they have to try to sell THAT type of game, that graphics and gameplay is very lacking and they have to compete against other games very similar and of far better priced and far better games that are around the price they are asking, so if they are to make ANY profit, they have to be able to SELL the product and they won't be able to recover the cost of game development or production asking for $35
@roadrunner343
I'm not getting insulted, but I say delay no big deal (for me) and all of a sudden at least two people got very defensive and wrote long posts that seemed a tad aggressive.
just saying that did seem it was taken personally
I agree about the fad phrase "Clickbait", but again, that's just "Personal Opinion"
@B-Locks
according to various sources, the added cost of a 1GB Switch cart is around $4, 4GB is $5, no doubt licensing fees also affect cost, but the total cost of the packaging, cart, program development and fees will be less than $8/cart (even less cost for digital download, but greater profit)
so yes, the profit is there, but it is with NUMBERS, if you can't sell the game, it really doesn't matter, $15 per physical copy may have a smaller per physical copy than $35 per physical copy, but if you can't sell the $35 copy (digital OR physical) there is NO profit at all
so yah, a sellable lesser priced, lower individual profit has a far greater as a whole profit than an unsellable higher priced, higher profit product
and honestly, I'm not sure there will be a huge demand for a physical copy for this game anyway, either way, @ $35 it is competing with an assload of other far better and better looking games from $30-$50, and if you go into a store, see this game for $35 and any number of others, most people will look at the $35 price, laugh and pick up that other game
btw, thanx for mentioning the number flip bro, fixing
not sure why people getting so personally insulted, I said the lag is no big deal for most games but also worded it in such a way that it was clearly "personal opinion"
I also said that it was a give and take, 0.5-1 second lag vs. not being able to use the charger
I ALSO reiterated a few times that..... "The Product Is A Good Investment" and to *"Get It"
("This Product" being the GuliKit product, not my preferred 3.5mm jack adapter)
if you take people's personal opinion/s so personally, life gets pretty tedious
A: Selling 100 games at a small profit per each game sold?
(at $35 per copy)
B: Selling 10.000 games at a loss of profit per each game sold?
(at $15 per copy)
well "A:" would equal $3,500
and "B:" would equal $150,000
Hmm.......tough decision, but it seems the lower price but greater number of sales would NOT be the "loss of protlfit" you try to make it seem
do your math before you try to make a smartass come back, especially when talking to a person with a BA in business management
@nocdaes
that is what is called a "Burn", I hope that makes you laugh even more,
@Aneira
they will not be able to sell very many at $35, at $15 they could probably pull off 10x the sales than at $35, it is an Atari looking and gameplay type game with smoothed out graphics, not even really NES graphics, sales at $35 will be feeble, they can't make a profit if they can't sell it
@Ttimer5 Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Targets sell them in store, (Wal-Mart is usually better priced for same model and brand than Best Buy)
Remember to look at the packaging, most of the 3.5mm jack Bluetooth transmitters and dual function transceivers look exactly like the receivers, (which you do NOT want), DOUBLE CHECK THE PACKAGING !!!
@PlayedNSlayed
like I said in my review, despite the negative things I mentioned, I still believe it is a good investment for most who don't have a problem with it blocking the USB-C port in handheld mode
I would pay $10 just for the little rerouter adapter alone just because I could use it to get my charging cord out from the bottom which I constantly worry about damaging it or the Switch inport
@HobbitGamer I have the same stuff as you as well, but with all my other cords I have everywhere, (for me) wireless headbuds are just a preferred route (for me)
"Wii Mini owners won't be affected by this." what evidence is this based on, I have found in everything I have read, that all Nintendo devices will be hit, that's why I didn't say anything until yesterday, I spent a good several hours trying to find out more before jumping through my arse and blindly posting
so any additional information sources would be great, still, I think I'll just go out and get me a $35 Roku
@Denoloco according to the advertisement on their website AND the video above, the lag is almost non-existent, can't even notice according to what is said on the Video
@Heavyarms55 not so much the older ones, but the cheaper ones can, the more expensive $40+ ones don't really, but honestly, the latency is so minor is a delay of 1-1.5 seconds on like 90% of games that don't have voiceover synched to a face a big deal ??? I can deal with an almost unnoticeable delay in change of music and some sound effects in most games, but that's just me
but when that minor latency is weighed against the fact that the Gilulikit does block the USB-C like I mentioned before........that latency seems like a pretty insignificant inconvenience
these very small transceivers have existed for years, and very inexpensive (I've seen the receivers as low as $15, and transmitters as low as $25)
at $50 I'm not sure, all others plug directly into the 3.5mm jack on top, so you can actually use it with other devices as well, not JUST the Switch, BUT....the adapter that sticks it up the backside may be the saving grace for me
it doesn't require charging, which is sort of a two edged sword, that's great, runs as long as the Switch does, BUT because it blocks off the USB-C, you can't charge while playing bummer, which makes me look more at the other 3.5mm headphone jack models, they have batteries that can last for several hours AND they sit on the top, not blocking the bottom, not hindering tabletop mode or holding it
I'm liking that it comes with all the other nifties too, like the dock adapter, but as for the microphone, hey guess what, the 3.5mm jack transmitters I mentioned earlier have them too
but what I would REALLY love is that little bottom adapter, I play handheld and ALL the time (but on rare occasion tabletop) and often have the Switch plugged in most of that time, so that little thing would REALLY be a great help and be a great convenience, but also I would not have to worry about accidentally pressing or twisting or wiggling or worse my power cord and damaging the USB-C connector, so where can I buy THAT separately ???
all in all I like the thing, is it worth $50 ???
if it was universal like the 3.5mm jack ones....definitely (my opinion), but I think $40 would be more reasonable, still that's up to the individual, but overall I give it Two Thumbs Up despite some of my problems with it
now there may be more to the game, but from the description in the article......this game sounds dumb as funk, I will usually elaborate on individual things that make me come to my opinions on a game, (good, bad or in between), but just the idea of.......a person who cleans, murder crime scenes and blood added for flair, but it is about CLEANING !!!
it doesn't even seem like you try to find evidence that the C.S.I.'s may have missed, you roll up the bodies (why ??? I mean, the body is taken away BEFORE the cleanup crew comes, so effectively you are contaminating the crime scene) and ONLY clean the area ¿!?¡
WTF ??? who thought this up, what were they on and where can I get some ???
@ChibiNinja Rocket actually looked like a real racoon, Pikachu (in that pic) does NOT look like an electrified mutant mouse, not even the teeniest hint of fur texture, it looks smooth and looks good, but looks hyper UNrealistic nonetheless
you know what ??? I say Amen to them, Nintendo needs to not only put out more games per month, but more of the better ones also, if Nintendo won't do it, someone should
@NEStalgia I think Octopath reminds me of F.F. 2 (F.F. 4), SaGa games are more like evolved versions of that game, not that aesthetics really matter, I love that they did the game with this look and gameplay mechanics, but I would still like to see the F.F. moti'f in a Skyrim style game, Square does need to evolve
Oh that's just Fugmucking great !!! Nintendo not only did not put Netflix on Switch, I just got a message on my Switch as I turned on Voyager that Netflix is being removed from ALL Nintendo devices on January 30th
BFD, if I want to watch some songs or short vids of Maxim Bady I'll do that on my Kindle or phone
Give me Netflix DAMN IT !!! Hulu and/or Amazon maybe later, I want to watch my shows and movies, I heard Hulu is on Switch supposedly, but no idea and I don't have Hulu anyway, I want Netflix, it is on Wii, Wii U and my 3DS, give me mu frikkin' Flix man !!!
as much as I would LOVE to see a continuation of BoTW, I would really love to see a port of Link Between Worlds and reboots of all previous 2D Zelda games using the ALBW engine
on a separate a cart some other time, a "Zelda Maker" would be great, no breath holding though
a "Legend of Zelda: All Stars" (Super Mario All Stars) a bonus of converting "Zelda II: Adventure of Link" to an overhead game

is it just me or does the word "Tron" come to mind ???
Re: Nintendo Suspending Wii Video Streaming Services Early Next Year
"Wii Mini owners won't be affected by this."
what evidence is this based on, I have found in everything I have read, that all Nintendo devices will be hit, that's why I didn't say anything until yesterday, I spent a good several hours trying to find out more before jumping through my arse and blindly posting
so any additional information sources would be great, still, I think I'll just go out and get me a $35 Roku
Re: Nintendo Suspending Wii Video Streaming Services Early Next Year
this article is a day late (10pm last night).
Re: Video: Fixing The Bluetooth Headphone Blues on Switch
@Denoloco according to the advertisement on their website AND the video above, the lag is almost non-existent, can't even notice according to what is said on the Video
Re: Video: Fixing The Bluetooth Headphone Blues on Switch
@Heavyarms55
not so much the older ones, but the cheaper ones can, the more expensive $40+ ones don't really, but honestly, the latency is so minor is a delay of 1-1.5 seconds on like 90% of games that don't have voiceover synched to a face a big deal ???
I can deal with an almost unnoticeable delay in change of music and some sound effects in most games, but that's just me
but when that minor latency is weighed against the fact that the Gilulikit does block the USB-C like I mentioned before........that latency seems like a pretty insignificant inconvenience
Re: Video: Fixing The Bluetooth Headphone Blues on Switch
these very small transceivers have existed for years, and very inexpensive (I've seen the receivers as low as $15, and transmitters as low as $25)
at $50 I'm not sure, all others plug directly into the 3.5mm jack on top, so you can actually use it with other devices as well, not JUST the Switch, BUT....the adapter that sticks it up the backside may be the saving grace for me
it doesn't require charging, which is sort of a two edged sword, that's great, runs as long as the Switch does, BUT because it blocks off the USB-C, you can't charge while playing bummer, which makes me look more at the other 3.5mm headphone jack models, they have batteries that can last for several hours AND they sit on the top, not blocking the bottom, not hindering tabletop mode or holding it
I'm liking that it comes with all the other nifties too, like the dock adapter, but as for the microphone, hey guess what, the 3.5mm jack transmitters I mentioned earlier have them too
but what I would REALLY love is that little bottom adapter, I play handheld and ALL the time (but on rare occasion tabletop) and often have the Switch plugged in most of that time, so that little thing would REALLY be a great help and be a great convenience, but also I would not have to worry about accidentally pressing or twisting or wiggling or worse my power cord and damaging the USB-C connector, so where can I buy THAT separately ???
all in all I like the thing, is it worth $50 ???
if it was universal like the 3.5mm jack ones....definitely (my opinion), but I think $40 would be more reasonable, still that's up to the individual, but overall I give it Two Thumbs Up despite some of my problems with it
get it !!!
the Amazon page has more details about it also

Re: Get Ready To Clean Up Murder Scenes In Body Of Evidence, Coming To Switch Early Next Year
now there may be more to the game, but from the description in the article......this game sounds dumb as funk, I will usually elaborate on individual things that make me come to my opinions on a game, (good, bad or in between), but just the idea of.......a person who cleans, murder crime scenes and blood added for flair, but it is about CLEANING !!!
it doesn't even seem like you try to find evidence that the C.S.I.'s may have missed, you roll up the bodies (why ??? I mean, the body is taken away BEFORE the cleanup crew comes, so effectively you are contaminating the crime scene) and ONLY clean the area ¿!?¡
WTF ??? who thought this up, what were they on and where can I get some ???
Re: Early Detective Pikachu Movie Screening Receives Very Positive Reaction, Features "Great Surprises"
@ChibiNinja
Rocket actually looked like a real racoon, Pikachu (in that pic) does NOT look like an electrified mutant mouse, not even the teeniest hint of fur texture, it looks smooth and looks good, but looks hyper UNrealistic nonetheless
Re: Hackers Are Already Uploading Additional Games To The Switch NES Library
you know what ???
I say Amen to them, Nintendo needs to not only put out more games per month, but more of the better ones also,
if Nintendo won't do it, someone should
Re: Square Enix Reports $33 Million Loss After New Studio Shifts Focus
@NEStalgia
I think Octopath reminds me of F.F. 2 (F.F. 4), SaGa games are more like evolved versions of that game, not that aesthetics really matter, I love that they did the game with this look and gameplay mechanics, but I would still like to see the F.F. moti'f in a Skyrim style game, Square does need to evolve
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Takes A Look At Diablo III: Eternal Collection On Nintendo Switch

Re: Nintendo Is Currently Recruiting For A New 3D Legend Of Zelda Game
as much as I would LOVE to see a continuation of BoTW, I would really love to see a port of Link Between Worlds and reboots of all previous 2D Zelda games using the ALBW engine
on a separate a cart some other time, a "Zelda Maker" would be great, no breath holding though
a "Legend of Zelda: All Stars" (Super Mario All Stars)
a bonus of converting "Zelda II: Adventure of Link" to an overhead game
