With the massive computerchip shortage, one could've expected that Nintendo wouldn't announce a new console. The world's still suffering / recovering from the pandemic.
Average at best. Metroid was a nice surprise, but it looked like it was still in its early development. And WarioWare was a pleasant surprise as well. Zelda was known and the trailer didn't add a lot of new information, we could've guessed from the first trailer that it would go skybound (Hyrule castle lifting up). Other than that, a lot of remakes and releases of games that have already been playable on other systems for many years
I'm sorry, but I'm getting kind of tired of these cryptic system updates. Don't we have a right as an owner / consumer of their products to know what is actually being altered / updated? The fact that we have to get this info from a third party is frankly bullsh*t
Has anyone ever told Alex that he, quite possibly, has the most annoying intro of all the (Youtube) vloggers? It's like he's throwing/gagging up the words 'Hello there, lovely people'. It triggers a gag-reflex from myself, actually...
I usually manage to skip it, but was caught by surprise and failed this time, hence the frustration. Change it.
I was thinking about this game recently whilst playing Paladins (a far inferior FPS). How I miss those days of shooting up enemies and make them limp or make 'm do all kinds of funny movements. Or those crazy difficult co-op missions. Man, that was a one of a kind game
@saintayu Because it's a genuine problem for a LOT of Switch users. Getting as much information surrounding the issue as possible is welcomed by most of these users. This is not clickbait
I've always considerd myself to be neat and someone who takes good care of his wares, but my left Joy-Con started drifting after like a year, just after my warranty expired... I haven't had my Switch undocked or the Joy-Cons removed since, because it's such a nuisance when you mostly play platformers and FPS games. Heck, even selecting something in a menu becomes impossible. I've read about so many complaints and even some my friends who own it have the same issues. I've always trusted Nintendo to deliver good products, but the Switch (eventhough it's a great system) feels a bit cheap and fragile. I hope this lawsuit pays off and that people who have the issue can return their Joy-Cons to Nintendo for free.
Something tells me that Activision is holding back on the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy announcement, because they wanted to know how well Crash would do on the Switch.
And now that same hunch is telling me that its release just came a lot closer!
@Yoshi Just because they're going all in and making it the spotlight, doesn't guarantee that it's 'more than just a port'. Remember how they went all in with Wii Music?
It's definitely going to be a port. So many evidence points towards it. The font of the title, the style of the trailer (very similar to the Wii U), the timing of the game. The fact that Masahiro Sakurai was/is tired of creating Smash.
How is this news? You could already tell by the trailer the framerate dropped SIGNIFICANTLY when undocked. Yes, in the trailer... I can't believe they would show that, but hey, at least they're being honest about it.
Best game I've ever played. Story, graphics, music, gameplay and overall atmosphere are all superb. When people ask me which The Legend of Zelda-game is my favourite I always say: Okami. It outdoes TLoZ that has ever been made on every level
Sure, there are some great games on the way. But PR-wise, Nintendo failed again... miserably.
It's like they still don't realise what E3 is really about. You need to wow the crowd. The problem is... Nintendo doesn't think they have to. Or even worse, they think they have wow'ed the crowd.
The Wii U as it stands now has a great line-up (mostly consisting of first-party games, but still). I'm not a single moment bored with it. The point is that Nintendo had a great momentum. All they had to do at E3 was prolong that momentum, but they didn't. They shattered it.
And they want to release this in December 2015, right? I bet 10 euros they will broadcast an apology / postpone video in the next 3 - 4 months...
They should've let Factor 5 (Rogue Squadron developer) veterans work on the new Star Fox. Imagine epic battles / dog fights with an even grander scale than the Battle of Endor in Rogue Squadron II.
So far this E3 has been a complete disaster for Nintendo.
Sure this game can turn out to be fun, perhaps even great. But the thing we got to see in that trailer... What the bloody hell was that? There were so many things going on, so many conflicting colours. Such a mess. They rammed into the presentation like it was a last-minute hassle. If only they'd worked longer/better on their presentation, perhaps people would've been more enthusiastic.
Lack of surprises (even considering the leaks), not a single WOW-moment. Showing games we've been shown (more thorougly) in past Nintendo Directs. Starfox not really looking that great... This was pretty darn disappointing...
