@thefoxystoat It actually runs at 960×540 handheld & 1344×756 docked and is capped at 30fps. Sunbreak will run the same. It's actually quite impressive considering the old hardware. It's one of the best looking games on the Switch.
Here's an idea, Nintendo....Lower the prices of older evergreen titles as a greatest hits collection for around 50% off their normal price. Instant rise in sales. You're welcome.
@Savino every single day that I use the Switch. In fact, it’s the app that I’ve spent the most time on. More than any game that I have, and I have over 200 games. It’s just easier to get on YouTube if the Switch is docked to a t.v already, and it’s especially handy if you like to stream on the go.
@eRaz0r anyone who actually bought the game also has more cosmetics and vehicles, so it basically offsets the cost. The free version will probably only include a few vehicles/cosmetics to choose from, making people pay separately for the rest of the cars you would normally get in the retail version.
@fafonio there's no way that it's my WiFi. I've already checked it, and it works fine for the other 210 games I have on the Switch. Load times are terrible even when you enter and exit a building. No other Nintendo game has long loading times except for this one. Boost mode would solve the issue, as it did for a handful of Nintendo's other titles (Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, etc.)
This is great and all, but what we REALLY need is: faster load times (boost mode), instantly pick up items versus the same animation over and over again, better item organization, etc. Quality of life things that would make the game a whole lot less tedious than it is.
WOW, it's beautiful! I'm a Pac-man super-fan, so this would be amazing, but the deal breaker is no functionality without being attached to the console AND no HD rumble. Such a shame.
Honestly, this is a stupid idea, considering that Namco only released a single Namco Museum collection with original arcade titles for the Switch. They could have just released a volume 2 with more authentic arcade versions instead of these inferior collections.
Meh. Give me a Burnout Revenge remaster and I'll be a lot happier. Open world racing sucks. I was much happier with closed tracks and Destruction mode. EA is crazy to release this "remaster" at full price too, btw
@Palico_extremeru the "surprise" of a new Direct is exactly what people are clamoring for! A new Nintendo Direct IS like opening a present, as it excites Nintendo fans all around the world and gets them hyped for things to come. Get a clue.
I'd say that the overall quality of Switch games are hit and miss. There's too much "shovelware" in the eshop, but the cream always rises to the top. Lots of great exclusives on the system, and the fact that those games are portable and switchable to the tv is what makes the Switch the best game console of all time, imo. And I own all consoles. Let's not also forget about Nintendo's boldness to innovate. Ring Fit Adventure is a perfect example of that.
This won't sell very well at all. Most people who wanted Dead Cells have it already, so there's really no incentive other than the physical aspect of the extras you get. They should have released something like this when the game came out.
@Zeldafan79 Well, for starters, the pro controller is a lot more comfortable to use than the joycons, imo. Also, if this thing can rotate for use in TATE (vertical) mode games, it would be worth it, since the joycons can't be used in that orientation if they're attached to the handheld. That being said, if it can't rotate, I don't really see the point in buying it.
Honestly, I just bought Stardew Valley, and I'm perfectly content with that game scratching my life sim itch for now. I don't know how Animal Crossing can top it as far as the depth of gameplay.
@brunojenso @Hissscratch139 Rekt is super fun, Robonauts is pretty great too. Honestly, the other ones that I've played so far are trash. One Strike and that Gnome runner game are especially terrible.
@noutBr I don't understand your reasoning behind not wanting to play the game because purely cosmetic items cost too much for you. They don't affect the gameplay in any way and you don't need to spend a dime after the initial cost of the game. That being said, the items were indeed overpriced.
@impurekind you have proven my point. You refuse to give me the names of the games you worked on. If you think you can do a better job, why not give me actual examples of YOUR work?
@impurekind it's exactly how it works. If you worked on other games, the results of your artwork would be IN THE GAMES. Tell me what games you worked on where your art is clearly displayed as game graphics. Otherwise, your point is useless. You said you've worked on all kinds of games. Where's the proof of that? I'm just calling you out on your claims that you know more about game art than everybody else here. I want to know what your idea of a good art style is compared to the "fugly" graphics in this game.
@khululy I'd really love to see this big shot's art in the games he supposedly made. Very curious as to what he thinks is artistically superior to this game. Lol
@Wavey84 For the simple fact that it's all they've EVER DONE. I mean, seriously if you think Yacht Club could do any better, you need your eyes checked. Why do you have such a problem with the art style? It's beautiful and looks like a comic book come to life. It's like your throwing darts to see what sticks (arguing for arguments sake) The game isn't even out yet.
@Wavey84 Yacht Club? Lmao. So, you want 8 bit graphics on your Streets of Rage sequel versus more modern comic book style visuals? Yeah, that would be so much more innovative, wouldn't it? What a joke.
The free to play model should have been removed for this one and should have been priced reasonably so the cars can be unlocked without the need for real world money. The game itself is great, but after a few races, it practically forces you to unlock better cars or you'll lose the race every single time.
I put about 20 hours into this one and loved it, but honestly, I don't see a reason to purchase the expansion just for new characters. Expansions for a game like this need new missions and levels to hold a player's interest. Adding new modes doesn't cut it.
Coming soon: Charlie Brown Kart, Family Guy Kart, South Park Kart, Bob's Burger Kart, Scooby Doo Kart, Looney Toon Kart, Flintstones Kart, Jetson's Kart, Wacky Races Kart, Simpson's Kart, Futurama Kart,...(pretty much every cartoon ever made.......Kart.) lol.
No way. The name "Switch" doesn't even fit this handheld only model. I love playing in docked mode on the tv whenever I get the chance to, so that reason alone is enough to keep my original Switch. It's so much more versatile too with the detachable joycons, and motion control-only games can't be played on the Lite. I'll wait for a Switch Pro.

Loading times need a huge improvement. Why can't they fix the things that make this game so annoying?

@AuburnGamer or you can just buy the pre-existing Namco Museum which includes Splatterhouse in the more superior arcade version. Geez.

What about a digital release on the U.S. eshop? Any word of that?
Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Huge Digital Switch Sale Ends This Weekend, Over 350 Games Discounted (Europe)
Raiden V is an excellent buy right now at around $8. Originally $40. One of the best shooters available on the Switch.

Re: Puzzle Quest Is Back, And It's Launching Today Exclusively On Nintendo Switch
@Ventilator you should have kept the spelling error. It was hilarious
Re: Video: Untitled Goose Game Gets New Gameplay Trailer, And You Know You Want To Watch It
@krvstkvlt Hell I'd be cool with "Goose Game" without the "untitled" in it. Sounds much better to me. "untitled" just makes it sound unfinished.
Re: Puzzle Quest Is Back, And It's Launching Today Exclusively On Nintendo Switch
@Ventilator I've played Gems of War, but GERMS of war? Must be a new Dr. Mario clone. Lol
Re: Video: Untitled Goose Game Gets New Gameplay Trailer, And You Know You Want To Watch It
This game should have had a better title. I would have called it "Goose on the Loose!"
