@link3710 I'm 43 years old, and I've been around since the early days of the Atari 2600, so I think I know a little bit about graphics, my friend. When most people think of 8 bit graphics, they always go back to the NES days, and this art style certainly borrows heavily from that era. I'm just talking about graphics, not sound design and the way the game plays. Pixel art is great when used properly in a game, but this one's down right ugly.
Ugh. Is it just me, or is everyone else getting tired of games with ugly 8 bit graphics? I understand the appreciation for old school pixel art, but it's getting too prevalent in indie games like this.
@ZiggyZane I agree. Shaq Fu was an insult, in my opinion. The load times almost put me to sleep! Worst I've seen in a game for quite sometime. Come to think of it, the first NBA Playgrounds had sloppy programming too (long load times, bad shot mechanic, etc.)
I have the first NBA Playgrounds and I just kept wishing for NBA Jam every time I played it. I'd rather just have a re-release of NBA Jam: On Fire Edition for Switch. All they'd have to do is port over the Xbox 360 version with slightly better graphics and I'd be happy.
@Bunkerneath not going to happen, unfortunately. I actually prefer the "a la carte" method of purchase, myself, as there are some tables that I'm not interested in purchasing.
I love Pinball FX3! Take my money!!! The Switch has been missing a lot of tables from their collection due to licensing issues with the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, so this is great news for Switch owners.
"The best place to play" will soon end up being the worst place to play if Sony doesn't get it together with cross play. I can see this being reversed if enough developers refuse to release their games on Playstation.
I enjoy a Metroidvania game every now and then. That being said, the pixel graphics just don't hold my interest in modern games. I'm more addicted to hand drawn animation with hand painted backgrounds like Hollow Knight and Ori. In my opinion, pixel art is WAY overused by indie developers these days.
I've been experiencing clipped frame rates lately, which makes the game virtually unplayable at times. It's incredibly annoying when I'm trying to shoot someone and the frame rate drops!

Can't wait! Streets of Rage was my absolute favorite brawler from the Genesis days! I love the more modern art style as well.

Re: Into the Breach Is Available On Nintendo Switch Today
Looks like an old PC game. The gameplay looks interesting, but the graphics are a major turn off for me.
