Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Hits Switch This July Alongside Themed Joy-Con

The Direct was fine overall - but this announcement sucks. How can they justify charging full price for a single Wii port when they’re selling 3 Mario games for the same price?

Meanwhile, we already have 2 perfectly good remasters of substantially better 3D Zelda games, stranded on a system no one is rushing to play anytime soon.

I get why they’re doing this - Skyward Sword was the worst selling recent Zelda by a long shot and they want it to find an audience. It just should have been in a Zelda 35th Collection, instead of this really poor-value single port.

The Wii U was a great media machine. Best way to browse the web on your TV, and had a good selection of streaming apps.

Very few other advantages - but I still passionately advocated it at the time. Gotta take the rough with the smooth I guess

I was NOT expecting anything new from this series after the awful Switch port - the original was incredible on the DS and very well suited to the handheld.

Hopefully, if this is a new game, they'll finally built something new from the ground up! Very excited (the music usually changes every day as we get closer to the announcement on these...another reason to check back!)

Re: Physical Version Of Untitled Goose Game Won't Include Multiplayer On The Cart

MaxiPareja

I mean, it kinda does. You get the multiplayer mode for purchasing the game, having it as an update doesn't mean you don't get the multiplayer mode? Maybe I'm missing the point, but I don't get why this would affect anyone's decision on whether or not the buy the game. You could say the exact same thing with 'Already own Untitled Goose Game? You don't have the multiplayer mode!'

Idk, headline seems clickbait and deliberately misleading.

@Kabloop

Social media doesn’t create new audiences, it just reaches them differently.

Also three words for you regarding competition, especially in the US: Video Game Crash

And finally, in countries like the US and the UK, over 80% of households have a smartphone. Where you can download an almost unlimited number of free, easily accessible titles. The Switch has succeeded in the face of competition that is literally free at the point of entry.

Re: Poll: Should Nintendo Release A Digital-Only Switch?

So the one thing people may be missing with this, is that while the actual cost of removing the cartridge slot is minimal, the increased profitability gained from every future game purchase being digital is a viable long-term strategy.

They could feasible charge £50 less than the original system and make that back after only a couple game purchases and a year of NSO.
