For people who already have both on Wii U, full price is too much to ask. I’m on that side of the camp definitely. Even considering I do want to play the switch version.
For people who never played the Wii U version. This is a great deal, and a good lay over until the new original Switch games come.
@Eethan03302001 That’s an opinion, and I respect that.
Just don’t complain, when Nintendo becomes like Sega.
A shade of its former glory, confused with its own identity.
Having some of the most incredible IP’s, and doing absolutely nothing with them.
His words are his vision, and his vision is about diluting Nintendo, and destroying Quality for a wider audience.
@SCAssassin I lived through the destruction of Sega. It wasn’t good to see something so brilliant, collapse from the inside out. Through bad decisions, and bad direction.
I don’t want to see Nintendo, become the absolute sham of what happened to Sega.
I've been playing Nintendo since 93', and for as long as I can remember, Nintendo always have these gaming droughts.
Sometimes like this, sometimes worse.
It's hard to keep the momentum going, when you've had such a massive success like Switch.
You got to keep raising the bar, and if you can't get the output out, the bubble can pop.
I think the investors are being a bit pessimistic, considering how Nintendo have turned it around since Wii U.
My only concern is still the £279.99 price tag in the UK.
It's sold well, but the economy still isn't brilliant here.
Most people, family's etc won't shell out that kind of cash for a machine.
I've heard this a lot from people around me, which is fair enough.
A permanently docked budget system could be the solution to that.
But does that take the point of switch away ? Perhaps.
Some people are just interested in playing the games though.
Not the portability aspect.
13 million may be pale compared to other consoles by a long shot. But when you think about it, that's still quite a number of units produced and sold. Wii U will go down as one of the most underrated consoles. Completely mismanaged, and under utilised.
I'm really enjoying this, came in the post today, and so far it's class. I don't think it's anywhere as near as in depth as say, Paper Mario 2. But it has a simplistic charm which just pulses fun pick up and play gameplay. Really enjoying the graphics too, and at times, grin worthy tongue in cheek dialog.
It's rare you get a game your enthusiastic about from the first trailer. After trying it out today, it has well and truly lived up to the expectations I was hoping.
At some point, I would like to see Paper Mario 3 though. A true successor.
@samuelvictor thanks for the vid man, looks as terrible as I remembered.
Also has any one noticed, the seat on the new arcade cabinet, it looks like Professor Xavier's chair all modded up ! Seriously, someone should photoshop Xavier into that seat.
I've always felt Mario's age is irelevant.
It's like if you watch a Bugs Bunny cartoon, it never really crosses your mind, well how old is he.
The same goes for Mario, and most Nintendo games.
If age isn't in a games narrative, it's irrelevant.

Re: Talking Point: Is A Nintendo Direct Really On The Way?
I really don’t know at this point.
I honestly feel Nintendo is stalling, as they don’t have enough to please people.
Ultimately a safe, wise move.
I’m thinking March time.
Re: Nintendo Confirms It Has Unannounced Titles Set To Launch This Year, Delays Not Anticipated
They need to pull the trigger then, and show at least something new.
I’d even settle for what Prime 4 looked like.
Like some videos, and screenshots for the time being.
I do wonder if Bandai/Namco will repackage Prime 4 as something else.
Re: Nintendo President Says 20 Million Switch Target Failed Due To "Insufficient" Efforts To Convey Its Appeal
Usual Nintendo problems.
Not enough triple AAA Nintendo games out.
And not enough triple AAA 3rd party games which are multiformat.
I’ve been playing since Snes was released, and it’s got better and worse over time.
It always has, and still is an issue.
In saying that sales were still good, so perhaps they need to be more realistic.
Re: Aussie Physical Release For Naruto Switch Trilogy Includes Three Download Codes
It’s all BS to save small amounts of money.
If you object to it, don’t buy it.
If you do, it’s only going to encourage the practice.
Re: Kirby's Adventure And Super Mario Bros. 2 Join The Switch Online NES Library This Month
Yeah, I’m happy with that.
Real happy with that actually !

@Charlie_Girl I don’t get it either.
Makes no sense other than cost effectiveness.
Re: Nintendo Readying One Unannounced Switch Title “Fans Would Be Delighted To Know" About
Star Fox, that would be ace.
Re: Nintendo's Stance On Directs Hasn't Changed Despite Gap Between Presentations
Sounds like they put everything into Metroid Prime 4
Re: Dr. Mario World Announced For Mobile Devices, Targeting An Early Summer 2019 Global Release
You know it will probably be really good this.
A pleasant surprise
Re: Unreleased N64 Game Dragon Sword Might Finally Be Completed 20 Years Later
Too many pointless campaigns going on in the industry these days.
Re: Nintendo's UK Store Appears To Have Confirmed Mortal Kombat 11 Switch Delay In Europe
It would be interesting to know the reasoning still.
It would be interessting if it was licensing laws surrounding using Rouseys image as Sonya Blade.
That is an absolute stab in the dark though, no pun intended.

Wasn’t expecting that at all.

A needless port

The Long Dark
Does that even fall into the indie category ?
I don’t know,
But I’d like to play it on Switch.
Re: Shiver Entertainment Is Developing The Switch Version Of Mortal Kombat 11
I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I mean sure the odds are stacked against them,
But maybe that’s more of an incentive to pull out all the stops.
I’ve got an Xbox One,
But I’m more interested in the Switch version.
It’ll be nice to play MK 11 on the move if needs be.
Re: Nintendo's Bold Switch Sales Target Could Be Achievable After All
Great news.
Let’s hope they get that Metroid trailer out to keep up the momentum.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Launch Sales Were Actually 56% Higher Than On Wii U, Not 24.8%
I don’t agree with the price.
However, at least Nintendo can use the money towards some new titles.
Any success is better than failure.
So it’s a double edged sword.
A sort of morally wrong positive one...
Re: Review: SEGA AGES Out Run - A Fantastic Update Of One Of Arcade Gaming's True Greats
Honestly the best £5.99 I’ve spent in years.
Considering I would sink 50p a go, every time I went to the Arcade in Silloth (Cumbria, UK)
In my opinion this is the definitive version of Outrun.
Bar owning the actual arcade cabinet.
Re: Video: Nintendo Celebrates The Release Of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe With Launch Trailer
You know what would be a bigger Celebration ?
Nintendo giving Wii U owners a fat discount.
Re: Reminder: SEGA Classic Out Run Hits Switch Today, Here's A Launch Trailer To Celebrate
Only love for Outrun here ❤️
Re: Reminder: SEGA Classic Out Run Hits Switch Today, Here's A Launch Trailer To Celebrate
@SwitchForce You will have to hunt for the Mega Drive copy then.
Re: Reminder: SEGA Classic Out Run Hits Switch Today, Here's A Launch Trailer To Celebrate
Been hammering this all day !
Best £5.99 ever.

Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - Nintendo Plays It Safe With This Timely Reissue
Feels like the consensus across the board is the same.
People want it, but don’t want to pay full price.
Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - Nintendo Plays It Safe With This Timely Reissue
@Steel76 agreed about the price
Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - Nintendo Plays It Safe With This Timely Reissue
Very much on the fence about buying this.
£49.99 for two games I already own on Wii U, seems steep.
I do want it however, but the lure of trying Fallout 76’ seems appealing for £20 instead.
If they had released 3D World for Switch instead, yeah I would definitely of re bought that.

Re: Future Business Shift Could See Nintendo Move Away From Home Console Development

This guy needs fired.
Mobile games suck, period.
If they go down that avenue, watch Nintendo turn into Sega.
Just let the old man take full helm again.

Re: Video: Get Yourself In The Halloween Mood With This Look At Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Ghoul Patrol really gets a bad wrap, and I think a lot of people are quick to jump on the wagon.
Personally, growing up it was one of my brother and I's favourite games on the snes.
Alongside the original.

@nab1 Must be the N64 version I was thinking of.
Never played it in the arcades, it's good to hear that.
