Here's to hoping they don't go in that direction. I'm still on the fence, feeling its a fad. Don't get me wrong OR looks amazing, I just don't see the practicality of it all.
Here's to an NX version, assuming it's a higher spec surely, it will iron out those niggling Wii U frame rate issues. In saying that, on a positive note, it hasn't spoilt my enjoyment of New N' Tasty
Much better than I expected. I was preparing for an hour trudge, however, they managed to pull some surprises out the hat. Paper Mario Colour Splash, I can't wait already !
Conker along with all of Rares talent, have so far been wasted at Microsoft. I liked Kameo, and Perfect Dark Zero. But they were not the quality of games Rareware, were putting out on Nintendo consoles the generations prior. Nintendo, seriously dropped the ball not buying Rare.
This has really breathed some life into my Wii U. Really I would recommend buying it, it's challenging, addictive, and rewarding with it's colourful imaginative story telling. My only gripes are the frame rate drops like crazy when a lot happens on screen. The sound can be very glitchy, sometimes loosing all character sound when a lot is happening, again probably down to processing. The voice over work has changed, and the art style isn't quite as grim as the original. Mudokon pops have been censored aswell ! No longer a severed head on a stick. But all that aside it's great fun like the original.
I hope more Oddworld comes to Nintendo, but if sales are shoddy, which I expect, it's not going to happen.
@shani Metroid as a name is going to put fans in seats, but for people who don't know the series, Scarlett would be an excellent choice as she would sell tickets, and put people in seats. I respect your opinion, but for a Hollywood actress, mainstream, she is good at what she does. She's great in Lost in Translation.
Of course we are aware, there are better actresses. But for a Metroid movie, without a big name, it's not going to put people in seats.
Scarlett Johansonn as Samus Aran. If I could pick anyone, that's who I would pick. I think really, Rousey had said that very tongue in cheek, and people are looking into it too much.
Yeah I can't wait for this. It may not re invent the wheel, but it's going to be fun a play, a no brainer. Was debating getting the Xbox One Edition, but I think I'll stick to getting the Wii U Version. Gives me a reason to go back to the Wii U, and well the better graphics on Xbox One.... It's Lego, not going to make much difference. Lego Jurassic World, was seriously one of my favourite games last year. I know Nintendo Life bashed it, which makes me wonder why they are looking forward to this ? But it was really a solid game, great for fans of the movie.
Clearly some hard work has been done here. Kind of feel like the character design has been greatly rushed. Bland to say the least. Not very original either, but it may play well.
@Maxz Japan struggles to embrace anything not Japanese, which is a shame. I've got an Xbox One and I think it's great, even though there is still more to do on Wii U with it's back catalog. At least in the West, Japanese technology is embraced. Playstation 4 has been a run away success, and it's been down to good advertising. Once the price comes down, I'll likely pick one up.
Here's the problem, especially in the city where I live, you can't buy Nintendo games anywhere. And if you do find them, there is very limited selection. An interesting note is this, on the run up to christmas, exchange shops like CEX and Cash Generator were full of used Nintendo games. Once Christmas was out the way, the shops were empty of Nintendo games, I mean completely depleted.
With only one big release, that's really not surprising. Going into Christmas, there was no campaign to rally people to even consider buying a Wii U. A marketing campaign, showing the back catalog, and upcoming games would of been very beneficial. The Wii U pack for £249.99 with Splatoon/Mario Kart 8 wasn't going to lure anyone. Give people a reason to buy something through advertising, and they'll want It.
I'm a total mark for this kind of stuff, so the likelihood is I'll pick it up. It would be cool, if someone could actually get this on a Gameboy Rom Cartridge.
I'm very excited for this NX reveal, more so than when the original Wii was announced after the Revolution hype. Whatever Nintendo decides to do, contrary to what a lot of people want, I don't want to see Nintendo pile down the power house route. Really they need an affordable machine, which does something different, and gives people a viable, good alternative to Sony and Microsoft. If they go with this new Sharp screen technology for their controllers, that's going to be expensive, let alone making the machine up to the spec of Xbox One/PS4. Cut in with a fun product, a good price and your onto a winner.
I still feel Wii U could of been that, but they fumbled with the marketing of the machine, and the price was too steep. A lot of people I knew, really thought Wii U was a tablet for the original Wii. I'm sure Nintendo will have learnt a lot with the machine, both good and bad.
Well there is 4 titles there I'm going to be picking up, and they all look excellent. Maybe a small output, but at least they should be decent. I have to admit, I felt a little skeptical about the ZTP HD Remake. Yet when I thought about it, how could I resist going through that game again. Maybe, just maybe, there will be one more grade A title announced to see Wii U off into the early sunset. I'm not holding my breath though.
It may sound ridiculous, but if Half Life 2 came to Wii U, I'd be a total sucker to re buy that for the fourth time.
Worst case scenario, it will be another Sonic collection, rehashed, relabelled. I'm hoping it will be a sonic game with some fresh ideas, and dignity. I have always felt Nintendo could do wonders for the series. Chances of that happening are close to nil.
When Sega pulled out of the Hardware market, I wonder if Nintendo thought about buying them out. The IP alone they could of done wonders with.

There was a game on philips CDi similar to this.
Re: Soapbox: It's too Early to Judge Paper Mario: Color Splash
I'm looking forward to it, saw the trailer, and felt pretty pleased it's coming to Wii U.
And quite frankly, agree it's far too early to judge.
Re: Twilight Princess HD Nearly Had Wii Remote Controls
If this was the case, I would not of bought it again.
I still feel i should of bought the Gamecube version first time round.

I had it on 360, yet, it would be great to play through again on Wii U.
Think I'll pick it up when it's out.

As much as I love wii u, commercially it is a sinking ship.
It would be foolish for nintendo not to push on with NX.

The only thing which would sway me, is if a good port of Sonic CD was included, then perhaps maybe.
