The NES Classic Mini launches on November 11th but unless you've already pre-ordered one, it's unlikely that you're going to get it on that particular date.
Amazon UK has stated that its launch allocation for the console - which contains 30 classic games and comes bundled with an authentic controller - has been gobbled up already, but it is hoping to fulfill subsequent orders before Father Christmas arrives:
Due to limited stock we are only able to offer one unit per customer per address. You will be notified via email of the expected delivery date closer to the time. We will be fulfilling customer orders in the order in which they were placed, and expect to fill all pre-orders by mid-December 2016.
Limited stock of a Nintendo product? Surely some mistake.
If you've yet to place your order, then check out our North American and UK guides on where to do so (in addition to Amazon, of course). Oh, and while you're here, you might as well check out the amusing trailer we made for the system:

I knew this would happen! Hoping preorders open up in NA soon.
I'm just going to show up at Best Buy that morning and hope for the best. If they have none then it wasn't meant to be.
glad i got in early then ^_^
can't wait for mine
Pre ordered it as soon as it became available on Amazon but then switched to Zavvi. It was a good deal, it worked out at β¬51.50 delivered to Ireland.
And that stupid Homeless Man Buys A Ferarri.
Shoulda bought a NES Classic Mini. π
Another complete stepping stone for the SNES mini to become a reality.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Wouldn't that still be cheaper than the Β£49.99 RRP?
hopefully Im getting one on launch day then as I ordered mine just after the details were announced! I was totally debating wether to get one or not and now seeing how in demand they are Im really glad I did! this seems to signal this is gonna be a hit so hopefully we'll get another mini console maybe even next year!?
I forgot to order one of the controllers for use on my Wii and now they're gone. Guess I'll wait for the restock or see if I'm lucky in a GAME shop. Not too bothered though, despite it being my first console I don't seem to slip back into 8 Bit too well.
Now if they do a SNES Mini controller I'll be all over them.
I cancelled my pre-order but I had a good reason. I realized I already have 4 actual NESes so it's like "Why get a 5th?" XD
I do hope that when I travel to the US for vacation after Christmas there are some units left to buy.... Because this is starting to looks like an Amiibo situation 2.0
Heavily marketed Nintendo merchandise falls far short on available stock. Nothing new here. Now we just wait for Nintendo's press release that they're "surprised" that such a product would shift as many units as it has
It should have passed Wii U worldwide sales by about February then.
(Come on, someone had to )
It's still available elsewhere (like Nintendo's store).
@Shiryu I hope so i'm not as interested in the NES Mini, but if they make a SNES mini and have the kind of variety we got with this it's a day 1 pre-order even if it's like 80 bucks instead of 50.
@Grandpa_Pixel It is. That's why I switched.
@Grandpa_Pixel I have 2 but no where near the games that come with it. But then I have most on the wii shop and wii u eshop
"Limited stock of a Nintendo product? Surely some mistake."
One question we'll probably never get answered - did Ninteod under-stock as usual, or are the eBay buyers out in force? I guess the number of these that show up on eBay will give us some clue, but I've been worried since this was announced that it could sell 2 million over the holiday period but Ntineod would only make 500,000 or some ratio like that.
$60 for 30 NES games on official Nintendo hardware. Seems like a no brainer.
I guess another question would be - are these a long term proposition for Ntineod, or were they just made to take up space until the NX arrives to fill it? Maybe make enough for the holidays, and that's it. Not like it's been easy to find Wii Fit Trainer amiibo since they launched and sold out.
Happy hunting, I mean shopping, everyone.
This NES is turning out to be a good cover for Nintendo not having any Wii U games to release.
This is meant to be for the casual gamer but seems most owners of the nes are picking it up. They definitely should have more stock
I pre-ordered the day Nintendo life posted that it was ready for pre order in the UK, I also purchased one and a controller from Game. I've kinda done it just in case something bad happens, at least I'll get one if it goes wrong. I've also pre-ordered three controllers, dunno why as the nes pad hurts my hands after a while! The consoles release is about 6 weeks away I am hoping for some kind of direct where they unbox it and plug it into a TV! might be wishful thinking, nearer the time N.L might or could do it?
BTW folks on the Nintendo UK store site this has been sold out for weeks and it says on a tab line they expect more in stock in December, a small part of me hoped I ordered three! but then probably all three would have turned up....
I'm even counting the days on my phone for this!!
@UK-Nintendo I have about 27 NES games in total. Hopefully will add Mega Man 1 by year's end
It's kind of ironic that Nintendo will probably have the best selling console this Christmas season lol
@erv And that it is a remake of their first console rather than their current console XD
Why am I not surprised. Hoping I can snag one here in the states. Might be on the hunt for a modded original as well...
Pre-ordered mine shortly after they became available, and an extra controller. Looking forward to it! Hope everyone that wants one gets one
@dougphisig I just wish they didn't lock the system(s) down to those pre packaged games. I have a ton of SNES cartridges, would love to be able to use them again in a proper, official modern console.
I thought Amazon UK had not been offering preorders for a while now? I placed my preorder with them on the day they went up but I know other people who missed out.
@Grandpa_Pixel wow. Is that the cartridges.
You can't preorder a second controller with them which sucks.
At least on the Amazon app that is.
@UK-Nintendo Yup. I have a bit of a love for non-digital releases. For me they are my books on a shelf. Well, on a shelf in black boxes to prevent UV and yellowing lol
@Spoony_Tech I took Nov 11th off as a vacation day from my work. I'm going to be at BestBuy early that day and hope for the best.
"We will be fulfilling customer orders in the order in which they were placed"
Yeah right, they never do that. Happened to me plenty of times when I preordered a product twice and the one I ordered later got shipped way before the first one.
@bezerker99 I'm thinking now I might have a better chance at Toys R Us. I'm not sure if they do preorders like a lot of other stores do.
Hoping they are kept stocked and plentiful. I really do want one. Some Nintendo games during Holidays is pretty much tradition at our home.
If NX turns out to be home console only, I'd consider a 2DS/3DS because my son is really starting to love my 3DS and believe it or not he really, really wants Metroid Federation Force after playing the demo over and over. I'm not gonna have him play that one-player only if we get it.
Otherwise, it's this mini and Paper Mario. Which would be plenty, I guess. But I want that mini!
(The Wii U drought isn't even being felt by us. My two kids and I played Star Fox Zero quite a bit and we just started playing Zero Mission on the Wii U after completing AM2R and my kids are way back into Metroid now trying out all three Prime games in the Wii trilogy as well. Way too much gaming to do with what we already have and all of working and at school and sports means not that much time anyway.)
Well seems I'm not getting it anytime soon, it's sold out everywhere.
I preordered one from Amazon and another from Nintendo. At least one of those will be going up on eBay....
Still no word on NA preorders? Nice going, NOA.
You should've put a 1 per person limit from the start, haven't you learned from the amiibo 2014/2015 situation yet?
I hope that piss up Nintendo organised in a brewery goes better.
I'm thinking it's gonna be a pretty decent hit; maybe more so than I originally thought but probably not as much as some people imagine.
Why would I want this dumb novelty item, when I have the real thing and over 50 carts
"Please, understand."
Pre-order asap but I do hope Nintendo keeps the stock up and keeps the Classic Mini range going.
...and the US (with exception of Target for 20 minutes) has yet to put up any pre-orders. Would be the case that I would be watching Best Buy and GameStop when Target of all stores would open pre-orders a few weeks ago.
@Grumblevolcano A limit of one per account or order helps but only slightly. You then have the other side of the spectrum (Disney Infinity) where because of a huge difference between supply to demand on the first wave that large supply amounts were created beyond what they could sell. In an ideal world retailers should have opened up preorders LONG ago in the US to gauge what their supply should be. This way retailers could report to Nintendo the amounts they would want to sell. As it stands I'm having serious doubts that Nintendo will be able to meet the demand in North America.
@Shiryu
You want to sue your cartridges? What did they ever do to you??
@iGen It is 2016 and this is the Internet, I will sue anything that moves!
@BionicDodo Can't stop laughing at that
I've already got a lot of these games on virtual console so I won't be buying. Good idea though and looks like it will sell well.
Give us a SNES mini and I'll buy it in a heartbeat, maybe next year.
I like the way it looks, but hate the fact that you can't add games. Most of these games have been rereleased way too many times. I can dream Kirby's Adventure and the Mario games, while there are tons of lesser known classics on the NES that I would love to revisit. Where are Blades of Steel, River City Ransom/Street Gangs, Nintendo World Cup and so on?
I made preorder here the moment my trusted Finnish retailer put it up on their website (even before they had confirmed RRP)
Which was like a day after the news.
I was going to order one of these to save constantly getting the NES out of the loft but then I saw the mega drive one at the same price
It comes with 80 built in games and you can use your existing cartridges as well
It was far more appealing at the price
Starting to wonder will I cancel my pre-order. I don't see myself playing the games much. I hope the games are running at full speed. That will be a deal breaker.
@darthstuey
Apparently the Megadrive with 80 games is a piece of junk with wait for it "infrared controls".
Figured this would happen. Not enough supply to meet demand.
Maybe that's why preorders haven't opened yet in NA.
@Shiryu
But cartridges don't move.
Discs do.
@Mart1ndo ππ it is I tried it out and took it back the same day. It's a horrendous product.
