A few points:

1. The Vita's memory cards are still overpriced. They did not go down in price.
2. microSD cards are very cheap even up to 64 GB.
3. Most games on PS4 require a 1-20 GB download to even function, so Nintendo Switch is much easier to start playing from the box.
4. Most people will have microSD cards anyway, so it's not really that big of a deal.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Using the numbers Nintendo released, I estimate around 2.5 million for the Wii in the same time period. However, that does include a holiday season if that means anything in Japan

@Octane You also need to factor in how often it's used. Since the sequel is out, I doubt it's as used anymore.

@Yorumi Square Enix in general makes no sense. They have so many games on certain consoles, and it's never consistent. Take Kingdom Hearts for example: most of the main games are on Playstation but most of the spin offs are on Nintendo handhelds.

I'm not really surprised. I'll try to buy one from the person that sold me the NES classic. They charged me above retail, but they were polite and even asked me if I received it.

@Equinox Last week it was outsold by the PS3, which is about 11 years old by now.

@Menchi187 Actually the Switch version would probably outsell the PS4 version, at least eventually. The only thing that would have held it back is the stock issue. Actually, that may be why Squeenix held back on the Switch version.

What's ironic is that Nintendo has done achievements in specific games, just not a system-wide one.

@thesilverbrick Too many different amiibo at once. NES Classic probably wasn't a production priority due to the upcoming Switch, and Switch has components that also need to be produced.

There will be something new announced. 99% of Nintendo's e3s had at least something new. They are very likely to have a huge announcement this year, whether it be a highly anticipated port (Smash) or a new game.
