Re: For Only The Third Month In Two Years, Switch Wasn't The UK's Best-Selling Console

Lionyone

@TheFullAndy You're encouraging console wars with macho "owned" talk. Ridiculous to make such an early prediction right now too. The situation could reverse entirely within a year as xbox exclusives come out. Not that it would make any difference to anything either. What matters is all consoles have great games and are all growing the games industry which benefits us all. Particularly in a pandemic we should emphasise our connections and shared values and value each other not promote patriarchal competitions that isolate people into strange silos. I love Sony, I love Xbox, I love Nintendo. They're all winners and that makes us all winners also.

Re: Review: Fuser - A Flawed, Dorky And Often Brilliant Music Game

Lionyone

Bought FUSER VIP EDITION this evening for £80 off the USA eshop by buying two $50 eshop cards from the highly respected Playasia website/store. That saved me about £20 on the UK price of the VIP Edition. And I have to say Fuser VIP is totally totally worth it. You have to love music to enjoy it. Creating new original mixes in it is made technically extremely really easy and if you like the achievement of making things that's another reason to get it. No it's not your dad's rhythm game. It's somewhat gamified music creation. And it is WONDERFUL. It is the only game ever to make me feel I've been to a real music festival with fun music - and I've got it on tap. Fuser is a legal high. If you want to get high on music and lift your spirits and get your head bobbing to a devilishly cool mix you made buy it without hesitation. I bought it on Switch rather than on Xbox so that I have Fuser near my home work desk for breaks and also so I can take Fuser on the go. That convenience and access makes me ignore any very minor trivial flaws the Switch version might have. The game made me feel amazing. The game made me feel wonderful. The game made me feel beautiful and precious and powerful and loved. No other game has done that. The social side of Fuser is also great and you can use it as a music player to hear other people's mixes while you're working. Brilliant!
My score for Fuser:10/10

Re: Ubisoft Reveals Its Post-Launch DLC For Immortals Fenyx Rising

@3RedTriangles You sound racially prejudiced making a bunch of assumptions. Instead of fighting a one man right wing culture war, maybe wait for the game to come out and read reviews so you don't need to create something the world doesn't need; Communist Illuminati Ubisoft Conspiracy Theory.

Re: Hands On: Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise - More Of The Same, And That Might Be Fine

Lionyone

@JackTako Ring Fit Adventure is sold digitally in Japan; people buy the ring when they buy the code.

My guess is Nintendo thought the game would bomb if people had to buy an extra two two joycons to play it? Then again Mario Party sold no problem in special packs with extra joycons. It is odd. Personally I can't stand the footwork moves but that's because of a health issue. So I skip foot moves always. But I love the arm boxing moves. It's still a great fitness game for me. 🙂

Re: Mini Review: Pure Pool - As Close To The Real Thing As You'll Get On Switch

Lionyone

@Kilroy I find NL reviews usually meet high standards and are both beautiful to read and useful. This mini review has slipped below those standards for some reasons. Perhaps the reviewer picked for the article actually doesn't like pool/snooker and doesn't realise that based on how Pure Pool sold on other platforms it should sell very well on Switch so it merits a thorough review. Perhaps the reviewer has gone through recent horrific life situations that made the review not as good as their usual standard. I don't know. But I know as ever the comments section provides an essential complement to the review. I wish the reviewer well and I'm grateful for everyone's input that gives a better impression of a very good game.

Re: Gallery: Game Freak Has Moved In With Nintendo, And The New Offices Look Sublime

@Gmiol You wrote your comment like a little child. It is embarrassing to lack emotional self-control. Calm down. You misread and misunderstood my comment. I didn't refer to WW2 itself at all. I referred to the massive rebuilding after WW2. That rebuilding created a lot of ugly concrete utilitarian districts and very many of those buildings still stand today. The same is true in UK. The same is true across much of mainland Europe. For example Exeter in UK was a beautiful and unique city before WW2 but it was rebuilt in hideous fashion that still unfortunately exists. Plastic plants go perfectly with that concrete building ethos that human comfort and liveability don't matter, people are just production machines.
