@fluggy you’ll learn, haha, did the same thing, played the og a few months back and I’ve been a bit disappointed with the remaster. Most people’s criticism, that it’s too expensive is spot on but it’s still og Zelda, and better than the original due to the upgrades. I was letdown because I figured there would be more additions, and playing through all the old zeldas over the last few years has burned me out a bit and I’m sure that’s why I was letdown. Every generation before the present I found myself playing previous entries in a series before the new game came out and have tried to stop replaying franchises before the latest entry this generation due to said burnout.
I picked up a copy this past Saturday at Walmart. Sadly, This isn’t the game I was expecting. Hate to admit it, but it feels like it was rushed and I’m a bit disappointed. Glad it exists, but it feels like a rushed cash grab with mobile style graphics. I thought it was going to be like link between worlds and have a feeling it may get review bombed simply because it’s an inferior version of the original with mobile style graphics that doesn’t offer anything new. Review sites and YouTube regurgitators will probably praise it but I wish they would have just created a new game. I didn’t realize that Nintendo didn’t even make the game, so the faults should lie with grezzo.
At the same time, on the opposite end of the spectrum is the question worth asking in this day and age, “Do any games deserve a 0 out of 10?” I’d wager no game released over the past decade score should be less than a 4 excluding indies and games with micro transactions which should score lower in my opinion. All triple a games are beautiful with the same controls, rarely any triple a game does anything different, so we are essentially playing the same game repeatedly with a different story, genre, or coat of paint. Micro transactions break games and should be docked in points simply because they are becoming necessary in otherwise great games.
This game was awesome. It really should be mentioned as one of the best games of last gen and I’m glad its getting a remaster although if its in 4K I’m going to go with the xbox one x or pro version. This game should be at the top of anyone’s list who missed out on it, if not a contender for their game of the year, whether they are ghostbuster fans or not. The story was a reworked version of the original ghostbusters 3 films script that was in development ell for years and I believe all the actors lended their voices. The gameplay is still very unique and something that’s never really been duplicated.
@ilovetotourz agree completely. What bothers me the most is that if Nintendo keeps hearing these opinions, esspecially by youtubers, they may just just drop their dedicated handheld business in the future, thinking it's what everyone wants. I personally would love a more powerful 3ds. People like to call the switch a handheld but it's not ideal to take on the go. 3ds also has a more retro vibe. I als guarantee that people would still play gba games if Nintendo rereleased a gameboy. Getting offpoint, but Nintendo knows the 3ds is still killing it, and aside from a small loud minority the 3ds will only die if Nintendo chooses to kill it.
I highly doubt the next pokemon will even release next year. I suspect Nintendo only announced the game in order to damage control a negative reaction to pokemon lets go simply because the hype that had been building around the rumors of a core pokemon game release building both before and after Switches launch. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo is planning to release the next core pokemon simultaneously on the switch and new 3ds successor. Regardless, Nintendo was so secretive with the switch that I doubt the next entry had even started development until after ultra sun and moon was announced.
The Wii only gets crap because the graphics were from the generation before and most people assumed all the games required motion controls. Like most people, I gave up on the Wii after smash only to return to it when I got a u and began picking up the og wiis backlog and realized that had Nintendo released the Wii during the ps2 era, Sony and Microsoft may have struggled. The Wii actually has pretty vast backlog that includes the best silent hill and prince of Persia game released over the past decade. It's library was ignored by most but it was most definitely on par with its competitors in terms of quantity and quality. Eventually, I could see a lot of people's opinions change regarding the Wii in the future.
The dock has always been at fault. I got my switch on launch day and the dock was noticeably bent. After a few weeks of use, I noticed the console was beginning to bend. I contacted Nintendo after coming to the conclusion that warped docks bend the console because of the heat generated. Nintendo let me keep my switch and had me send them my dock to replace with a new one. Since then My switch hasn't bent at all. The weird thing I noticed before replacing the dock wasn't that the switch would bend back to normal after undocking it and cooling down. If your dock isn't perfect I would replace it immediately because I guarantee that your console will end up cracking.
I'm sorry but smash 5 would be the same as smash 4 only because not many other Nintendo characters are left to add to the roster. They could add some new stages but most of smash 4s stages would make up the bulk of the game. The only worthwhile change I could see added is a good storymode. My point is that like madden, fighting games in general, would be better off receiving dlc add ons, instead of full blown sequels in most cases. Not sure, but I heard there was initially a story mode for smash 4 and if they added it to the port on the switch it would be enough for people to stop complaining. I'd personally be happy with a smash port and yearly additions to the game.
It's funny because most people have always said they buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games, yet now that the switch is becoming everyone's go to console Nintendo fans are screaming for third party support, which I can kind of understand if your the guy or gal who only owns a switch, but I'm pretty sure most of us own other consoles and highly doubt many of us would buy inferior ports and opt to play the PS4/x1 version instead of the switch version. Call of duty would work on the switch but I bought the console to play Nintendo games and get away from the annual rehashes on the other systems. The only third party games I'm interested in purchasing are ps2 era remasters and third party exclusives built from the ground up for the switch. It would also be sad if developers did port games like cod to the switch only to see them fail after the first try and give up on future switch support and I'm also almost certain a cod failure would scare other developers from even trying. Cod has become like madden for me, and until activision puts as much effort into the single player as they do mp, I doubt I'll buy the game for any system but I admittedly may be in the minority.
Scalpers are going to have a field day with this accessory and Nintendo knows it. I predict a low initial print run which will essentially have everyone paying double the price for cardboard. Meanwhile, the media, will promote it like they did the nes and snes classics thinking there will be a massive amount of product on store shelves and Nintendo is headed down the wrong direction. Guarantee a lot of the media initially surrounds toycon with negativity and the idea of what are they thinking? Next thing you know this will fly off the shelf like amiibo and Nintendo announces they never anticipated such high demand. This is definitely not for gamers which is another reason I suspect quantities will be extremely limited. On the bright side, it looks like we are finally getting the miyamoto robot game announced for the u a few years ago.
Avoiding a long novel in the comments section, I abandoned Nintendo since the Genesis launched until I got a u 3 years ago and ended up acquiring every console they ever released. I recently booted up sunshine for the first time and I love it. Keep in mind, I have no nostalgic attachment to the GameCube but after finding half of the shines in sunshine right off the heels of odyssey, Sunshine may be my favorite Mario game. The Galaxy games were great but they were too easy like most marios. Sunshine can be difficult and a lot of people claim the controls aren't tight but they are perfect in my opinion. I personally don't believe sunshine is as difficult as everyone claims but it is one of the more difficulty Nintendo titles to ever release and I love it. I also love the squirt gun. Sunshine trumps odyssey in my opinion, but odyssey is beautiful and one of the best platformers of this generation but I doubt people will continue claiming odyssey is the best Mario 5 years from now.
This is probably a stupid question, so forgive my ignorance, but I'm wondering if 8bit or any other company has made a wireless og snes controller, that is a worthy alternative to the original?
Having too many games to play is great, but Nintendo has officially overwhelmed me with content this year on the 3ds and switch. I completed 86 percent of botw, so ive logged a couple hundred hours into the game since it released. I have 500 power moon s in odyssey and plan to collect all of them. ive started fire emblem warriors and I'm actually enjoying a bit more than hyrule warriors but everything went on hold for xenoblade. 30 hours into xenoblade, Nintendo announces an arms event, splatoon 2 has added a bunch of new maps and weapons, pokken tournament is gearing up for an event and now botw is calling my name again. Call me crazy, but Nintendo should space these events and game releases out a bit better. I've actually neglected arms and pokken since they released and have even had trouble getting back into splatoon because of the massive flood of games. Keep in mind, I haven't even mentioned the backlog of 3ds games I've accumulated this year.
I've always loved motion controls and i would predict that most people who knock them, rarely gave them a chance in the first place. Contrary to popular opinion, everyone purchased a Wii for the motion controls. It was the best selling system and motion controls was the reason behind its success. The fact that most gamers who hate on motion controls always admit that they had a Wii means that they purchased the Wii solely for motion controls and Nintendo games. I will admit that Nintendo should have always gave players the option to use a regular controller because I'm sure all of us had to stop playing gameso after long play sessions due to wrist pain on occassion. I still believe the Wii would be viewed differently had it released during the ps2 era. Fps were somewhat rare and if the wiis graphics would have been on a level playing field, I have little doubt that it would dominated the 6th generation just like it dominated the 7th and the 8th gen fps explosion would have occurred years earlier. The only difference, probably would have been superior versions of third party games. It's hard to tell what Sony may have become. I still believe that developers never got the most out of motion controls and had they been available at the start of the 6th generation theres a possibility motion controls may currently be viewed as the preferred control scheme. The major third party players abandoned the Wii early because of the power gap but if the Wii would have been on a level playing field all major third party games would have had an exclusive gimmick that probably would have been perfected to the point where traditional controllers became ancient history. Instead, Nintendo remained the only developer enthusiastic enough to perfect the tech over time and most third parties were happy supporting the Wii with shovelware with tacked on motion controls that rarely worked properly. A world where every developer focused on improving the tech would have led to more precise implementation.
Even though I avoided Nintendo since the super nes until 2015 for the most part, I've always snickered a bit at the comments stating that Nintendo was in trouble. I m sure Nintendos hasn't always known that they could easily come back to being a leader of the three by revamping and upgrading the Mario and the zelda formula. They also probably knew releasing a new Mario and Zelda with every new console would increase 1st year sales. I think people confused struggling with a calculated risk and a bit of Nintendos arrogance. Nintendo has always know that their franchises would sell consoles and im sure they predicted that eventually consoles would reach a power cap. Power sells consoles and I believe Nintendo made a calculated risk by stalling their focus on power to introduce new wayang to play, motion controls. The motion control idea was a hit, so they essentially focused on developing games to utilize the tech. Here we are 10 years later, and the big n has finally gotten into the resolution game and Mario and Zelda look better than ever. Not to mention, the fact that they've decided incorporate open world game design in their two best selling ips. I'm pretty sure Odyssey and a lot of 2018 releases were planned for the u but nintendo knew after the us first year that it was a dead console and probably started preparing gameso for the switch in 2014, which may mean that a lot of exclusives are on the way. I'm sure Nintendo would have never released both Mario and Zelda in the first 7 months of Switches existence if they didn't have more big games already in development. Nintendo really has a chance to return to prominence and possibly be every gamers preferred console especially if they avoid shady dlc practices and microtransactions which are somewhat ruining the ps, xbox experience.
i know people want an n64 mini and a gameboy classic is probably inevitable but I would prefer another nes and snes classic third party themed editions. I'm sure most of us would fork over another 60 dollars for a mega man themed classic that includes the Disney afternoon collection and the rest of capcoms best nes games. A castlevania themed konami system would also be great. My biggest issue with Nintendo is that they never really put much time or effort in preserving the nes and snes library. I also believe that there is a market for a nes and snes rerelease. The whole industry grew up with Nintendo and I bet a large number of developers would support a modern nes and snes with new games if Nintendo gave them a system and their blessing to support a modern nes/snes.
If there is another classic I believe it would be the gba. The gba library is so much bigger than the n64's, and I wouldn't be surprised if a n64 mini would be more expensive. The n64 has some great games but Nintendo probably believes it wasn't popular enough to warrant a mini rendition. The nes and snes are loved by everyone and a gameboy classic that's includes Nintendos best efforts across the og gb to the gba would make more sense. Not saying people wouldn't buy a n64 classic but the gba classic has a bigger library and would probably be a better value to non nintendo fans.
I get that game sites number one priority is to report gaming news but ea support on the switch isn't needed and probably is a good move. Most of their catalogue are mainstream annual releases that most people purchased a switch to ignore. As long as Nintendo continues to deliver the same amount of content we got this year, most third parties would save a lot of time and headaches just avoiding the system because most of us aren't buying those games anyway. However, of third parties would rerelease remastered ps2 era games or less popular last gen gems, those may be enticing, but lackluster current gen ports aren't worth the developer or gamers time.
I love 2d Nintendo games but at this point I believe Nintendo Ian's all of us are ready to bring back the 3d platformer. If Reggie is truly hinting at a donkey kong switch, I imagine it will follow odysseys footsteps and be a new donkey kong 3d which I have been waiting on for years. A new 3d Kirby would be great as well followed by a kid Icarus platinum game reimagining just to put some icing on the cake.
@sdelfin Bain owns most of the big retail chains and their strategy is to fund them using credit that the government will pay off after filing for bankruptcy. It's actually a strategic decision that tax laws currently allow. Sears,kb and many other retailers that have been around for years have been ran into the ground using the same tactics since the mid 90s. Low wages, and nonexistent health insurance plans are also symptoms of the strategy, both of which are funded by credit paid for by the government. Sadly, greed is the American way, but lobbyists ensure that the practice continues behind close doors. The biggest lie is that the democrats or republicans would ever fix the problem contrary to their promises. Lobbyists provides the funds and money will always win the vote.
I have a backlog that spans generations but all of it will be put on hold for odyssey. Still need to finish Samus returns. But may fire up silent hill 2 and Dracula x.
Season passes and dlc in general are ridiculous. I still can't understand why collectors editions don't include the season pass. Most collectors editions are under 100 bucks and most season passes cost 20 to 30, so why not just include them in collector editions and charge 100-125? I ve rarely purchased dlc in the 10 years since the practices inception so season passes exclusion doesn't affect me in the slightest but you would think their addition to collectors editions would be a no brainer.
People know that Nintendo is too secretive. Not 100 percent sure but I don't think many dev kits were sent out until the end of last fall. I bet a lot of third party games will eventually get a switch release. By the end of next year, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of multiplats release for all three systems on the same day.
Didnt buy the switch for third party ports and haven't been into fighting games since mk 2, street fighter 2, and tekken tag. I've played some fighting games since tekken tag but never got into them the same way I did in the 90s. Ive been a huge DC fan since superfriends first aired and kept up with comics until a few years ago. Given my Dc fandom, I preordered the first injustice and it surprisingly became one of my favorite Dc games of the last 15 years. Haven't got injustice 2 yet, mainly because of my backlog but if I still have gotten it by the time it releases on the switch, I may give it a chance if it includes the dlc.
Sony started the year with an awesome lineup and Nintendo has delivered something big every month since. I just got a 3ds two years ago and picked up another one last month. I get that some who have owned the system have played all the games and are sick of it but I m cool with the continued support. I have a pro so I do like great graphics and high powered systems but it's not a deal breaker for me. I still play my nes and snes Wii U along with every other system I own on a weekly basis. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a huge a backlog that I may never finish if Sony and Nintendo keep delivering so much content.
The version of Mario all stars that included super Mario world should have definitely been included. Donkey kong country 2, pilot wings, and chrono trigger were also no brainers. I have a feeling chrono trigger wasn't included because of the remastered hd version headed to PS4 next year was a determining factor. I would have loved the other games listed especially turtles in time but due to liscensing fees, I can understand why it wasn't. All of us could add a bunch of different games to our wishlist, but I'm sure we can all agree on the games I mentioned. I would have preferred Nintendo to have given us classic minis that featured 30 or 21 of the most rare more expensive must own games. Hopefully, Nintendo delivers another nes, snes classic with different games. A capcom themed nes classic with all the mega man and Disney games or konami nes classic would be awesome. They could sell different systems with different themes. I'm still hoping that once classics are widely available, maybe they have a plan in place to deliver more games to both systems.
I'm beginning to think Nintendo is going to release enough classics to satisfy everyone at this point and do away with the vc aside from the third party games. Nintendo has habit of taking one step forward and three steps back. Keep in mind, I'm not saying that the games present on the old vc won't be on the switch, I predict that the monthly subscription service will give us access to those games. Just like the Wii U, Nintendo will probably give us a couple games a month over switches lifetime. I doubt we will even be able to have access to each game after each month ends. I hope I'm wrong but if classics are mass produced then they probably feel like no one will want to buy those games, just like they thought the console passive wouldn't sell well.
I had a U.K. Version preordered but cancelled it after i snagged a GameStop preorder instore. My local toysrus is also getting 100 of them so I may buy another one at some point. These classic editions are thankfully going to flood the market at some point and anyone who thinks otherwise should go to their local Game shops in the morning. Most youtubers already received the snes classic which further proves that Nintendo has significantly increased production. Most youtubers were complaining at this point last year and were unable to secure an nes classic until months later. Starfox 2s addition to the snes classic is another indicator that this year is going to be different. I wouldn't be surprised if classics are on sale during Black Friday based on my knowledge of the number of snes classics a few of my local retailers have secured at launch. I would love to see the expression on the scalpers faces who already preordered 100s of these systems tomorrow. I hope retailers don't allow them to cancel or return their preorders.
Growing up in the 80s, most of the games on the nes that I loved, had licenses attached to them and I rarely beat any of them because they were broken or so difficult they were impossible to beat. It's funny because most people consider the most difficult games of the nes era to be castlevania, contra, the disney games and mega man games, however those were the only franchises along with punchout that I actually beat as a kid. I don't recall even beating the Mario games without cheating. Most of the games considered the most difficult of the era were challenging but the challenge was fair, whereas most of the catalogue had a lot of bugs and glitches that one would have to overcome in order to beat. As a kid I never noticed the glitches and bugs and loved a lot of games that we've found found to be broken over the years. I was happy to beat the 1st level in many games from my childhood.
I can't understand why metroid never sells well. It's such a great franchise Samus returns is easily one of the best games this year and Im saying this as a person who hasn't even completed every game in the series. I was an 80s baby and grew up with the nes original. Chose the Genesis over the snes although I played my brothers snes and loved super metroid although I never finished it. Finished zero mission on the u, and completed prime and prime 3 on the Wii. The series is easily one of Nintendos best franchises but it seems Nintendo and only buy Mario and pokemon. Heck, Zelda hasn't historically sold well until the Wii. My dream is for Nintendo to give us a full blown modern reimagining of kid Icarus and with such a vast library of characters they could easily deliver franchises that span every genre. There could easily be franchises based on every character on the smash roster. Low sale numbers for metroid and other properties is probably why they will never pull the trigger on releasing games with less popular characters. I, fully absorbed in Samus returns at the moment and it definitely deserves a goty nomination even though it's on the 3ds.
Anyone remember mit romney? When he ran for president a few years ago, a lot of news coverage kept bringing up the firm Bain capital, which he owned and suggested that the firm was in the business of buying businesses and running them into the ground by essentially running them on credit without paying the creditorsback. By the time the banks would cut the credit off, the corporations ran by Bain capital would file for bankruptcy and let the government pay back the debt. Guess who purchased toysrus in 2005? That's right, Bain capital. Firms like Bain capital own most of these brick and mortar stores. Sears and many other retail chains that we all grew up with in the 80s was owned by Bain capital and other firms like them. They simply don't care about the businesses and are using tax laws to live lavish lifestyles using the businesses as collateral for credit. When the creditors come knocking they simply file for bankruptcy to get the government to pay off the debt. It's really quite sad. All brick and mortar stores will fall to Amazon unless someone like San Walton opens a new company and sticks with it. Otherwise firms like Bain capital will bank off these dying retail chains.
I've been predicting that Nintendo would rerelease the nes classic and snes classic every holiday, since I got mine last year. I still believe that a gba classic edition will be thrown into the mix at some point. Nike releases one color way of the concord Jordan 11s every year and I've said Nintendo would do the same thing with the classics. I hope Nintendo adds more games or releases new models with different games to give those of us who already have the nes and snes classic preordered a reason to buy another one. I hope this announcement stops people from endorsing scalpers. These classics are a steal and not worth a penny more than the man. They may actually be overpriced. I am glad I got the nes classic on launch day at bestbuy last year and cannot wait to pick my snes up at GameStop later this month, but people need to stop feeding the scalpers because I've heard that most stores are going to have 50 snes on launch day. These classic models will be just like amiibos at some point, and I can't wait until the scalpers get screwed at the end of this month.
I hate dlc and microtransactions and truthfully won't be buying la noire again, only because I got the platinum trophy when it released. I would have rather rockstar rereleased some of their ps2 library or bully, which I believe is more appropriate for switch, although I never played bully so I m a little biased. My point is that I'm not too concerned with paying more money for carts on the switch. It seems that third party rereleased will be priced higher than the PS4 counterparts but I won't be buying many third party games on the switch anyway, unless those games are treated like Mario rabbids. I thought retro gaming was gong to be expensive and it kind of is expensive I guess, but I don't really mind paying modern prices for older games if I loved them back in the day.
I loved the die hard trilogy on the psone and I personally feel like it's one of the best hidden gems on the system. It was one,of the first games I ever bought on launch and i can remember highly anticipating the game because I loved the die hard films as a kid.
I still have a lot of Wii U titles in my backlog and captain toad is one of them. Nintendo games can take upwards of a year to 100 percent complete. I've been playing tropical freeze off and on for a year and a half and am only at 93 percent. The time trials are ridiculous in that game. Yoshis wooly world and new super Mario u also took a year for me to 100 percent. Admittedly, I didn't play these games every day or even over 3 hours a playthrough but they do seem longer to 100 percent complete than most of my platinum trophies.
There was no point in keeping rare. Even if they would have stayed the original rare devs would have moved on by now. Everybody always says that Microsoft killed rare but more than likely it was the other way around. Microsoft thought rare was going to put them on the map but without Nintendos guidance rare pretty much died and got in the hardware game which was probably why Nintendo acquired them in the first place. Rare knew how to get the most out of consoles and that is probably why Microsoft has used them to develop consoles and Kinect. I still believe Nintendo was responsible for the polished gameplay in all of rares classics.
The switches pro controller may be my favorite controller of recent memory. Don't really know why anyone would want a professional grade controller on switch because more than likely games that would benefit from an elite style controller aren't coming to the system. I kind of feel like voice chat is pointless as well for the same reasons. It's not like nintendo is going into the cod business. I'm more tempted to buy those retro controllers, but to each their own I guess. Option are still great for those who want them.
I'm planning on getting another new 3ds xl and would be tempted with th 2ds xl if there were guaranteed ips screens on the system but I love the 3d and have a huge backlog of 3ds games.
Never realized these were as rare as they are until I checked Amazon. Luckily I've been able to get most of them except sheik over the past two years. I can't understand why anyone would pay those crazy prices but obviously people do it or the prices would be lower. Anyone who thinks these are going to be worth what they are selling for on amazon and eBay in the future are delusional. More than likely a few them will be still be 50 bucks and maybe a small handful worth a hundred. Having said that, the costume unlocks are awesome and hopefully Nintendo treats amiibo the same in other games.
I cannot get enough of botw. I've played since launch and only have one divine beast left to takedown, 5 lynels, and 132 korok seeds left to find for the golden turd. I just need the lynel medal from kilton and I will finally be ready to finish my first playthrough and achieve 100 percent of everything offered in the game. This game is awesome and I will definitely speed through another playthrough on hard mode.
I ve had the 3ds version in backlog for a long time but decided to hit up GameStop this morning. I really wish devs would bring back manuals or even a little book of artwork that explains the story. I missed out on 1001 spikes so I'll be getting that as well. I'm loving the game and feel bad that I held off playing it all these years. This is a must play in my opinion.
Hmm. Why the picture of koko b ware? Was he chosen for the box art? The picture has thrown me off, because I haven't seen or heard about koko b ware since I was a kid. I really miss rasslin.
I think ultra sun and moon not being announced for switch means that we should keep our e3 expectations in check. Mario oddessey, sonic, splatoon 2, arms, and botw is a pretty good 1st year lineup. To be honest, the games I mentioned was why I purchased my switch on day one anything more s just icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong I want metroid and every other game rumored to be announced but I'm good with lineup we already know about.
Last generation, I knew everybody who supported Microsofts xbl was a bad idea and so did Sony and Nintendo. I never had any problems with psn or the Nintendo network on the Wii, ps2 and PS3. I remember The Xbox install base claiming they loved paying for Xbox live and even arguing that it was worth 60 bucks. Gamers voted with their pockets last gen and now we are all forced to pay a monthly fee. There's no going back, the damage is done, so there's no reason to be mad because I'm sure everyone has had psn or xbl in the past 10 years. 20 dollars is much more reasonable than 60, even though I have a feeling that the price will increase to the standard at some point. It's getting to the point where owning all consoles is not only pointless but expensive as well, and i have a feeling that a lot of multi console owners are at a crossroads of dropping the support of their lest favorite system, which in my case is future Xbox consoles unless Microsoft gets serious and starts supporting their systems with the same quality and quantity that Nintendo and Sony always provide.
I can't wait for smash on switch. I've heard they were going to rerelease all the smash amiibo for those who didn't have a u. I also heard a rumour that some new variants were coming as well. People complain about the amount of games on Nintendo consoles but something I've learned over the past two years is that Nintendo games take longer to 100 percent than most of my 165 platinums on the PS4. Ive been playing yoshis wooly world, tropical freeze, and new super Mario bros u for a year, haha. Obviously I'm jumping between games but I estimate that I've spent at least 150 hours among all three games. I've been playing a bit of botw on the switch a bit everyday since launch and have only found 632 korok seeds, 97 shrines, and beaten 3 divine beasts. Not sure how many sub bosses I've taken down but I estimate it's around 20. I also have yet to take down any lynels but I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Getting back on point, I hope that Nintendo continues to push amiibo and hopefully add more content to each amiibo, because I have a feeling most of us have a lot of them still in the box and I personally wish every game released gave us a reason to open them for the extra content.
I enjoyed destiny when it launched and reached level 30 with all three characters beforehand the dark below released. I had all the weapons leveled to the max and played everyday. The day the dark below released everybody I knew who was at least level 27 reached 30 automatically. I completed the crota raid and never went back to the game. I only need to complete a raid without any party members dying for the platinum and the lack of matchmaking caused me to quit the game out of principle. I got sick of being forced to go online and find a bunch of kids who didn't know what they were doing, yet always argued amongst each other because they always felt like the knew bEst. haha. After a few months of not playing the game I realized that the game was tailor made for people with OCD and was built to take advantage of our addictive nature to have everything. It had nothing but cool looking skins and weapons. I Believe a lot of people learned their lesson with destiny and watchdogs and I wouldn't be surprised if d2 Tanks at retail, unless bungie addd other activities to accomadte the generic bullet sponges. I won't be buying the sequel but ironically, if destiny 2 released on the switch i would probably buy it, just like I've purchased most of the games available on the switch. Haha

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - A Magical Remastering Of A Series Highlight
Re: Looks Like Copies Of Zelda: Link's Awakening Are Already Sneaking Out Into The Wild
Re: Disgruntled Gamers Are Review-Bombing Astral Chain On Metacritic
At the same time, on the opposite end of the spectrum is the question worth asking in this day and age, “Do any games deserve a 0 out of 10?” I’d wager no game released over the past decade score should be less than a 4 excluding indies and games with micro transactions which should score lower in my opinion. All triple a games are beautiful with the same controls, rarely any triple a game does anything different, so we are essentially playing the same game repeatedly with a different story, genre, or coat of paint. Micro transactions break games and should be docked in points simply because they are becoming necessary in otherwise great games.
Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Busts Onto Switch Later This Year
This game was awesome.
Re: Japanese Charts: Smash Ultimate Crosses The 2.5 Million Mark, Early Mario & Luigi 3DS Sales Disappoint
Re: Pokémon RPG Release Date Has Changed From "Second Half" Of 2019 To "Late 2019"
Re: Parent Trap: I Really Miss The Nintendo Wii
Re: Poll: Is Your Nintendo Switch Cracking Under The Pressure?
Re: Famitsu Interview Hints That Masahiro Sakurai Could Step Back From Directing Games
Re: Soapbox: Call Of Duty Can Work On Switch, Activision Just Needs To Pull The Trigger
Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo
Re: Soapbox: Is Super Mario Odyssey the Best Mario Game Ever?
Forgive the length of my previous comment which ironically turned into the novel I was trying to avoid.
Re: Soapbox: Is Super Mario Odyssey the Best Mario Game Ever?
Re: Gallery: Checking Out 8Bitdo's New SNES Classic Edition Wireless Gamepad
This is probably a stupid question, so forgive my ignorance, but I'm wondering if 8bit or any other company has made a wireless og snes controller, that is a worthy alternative to the original?
Re: Feature: Five Reasons You Should Play Zelda: Breath of the Wild's DLC Pack 2
Re: Editorial: Wii Remote Pointer vs. Switch Gyro Controls - The Resident Evil Test
Re: Switch On Track To Exceed 10 Month Wii Sales By 20 Percent, Says NPD Analyst
Re: Nintendo Promises More SNES Classic Edition Stock Is On The Way
i know people want an n64 mini and a gameboy classic is probably inevitable but I would prefer another nes and snes classic third party themed editions.
Re: Rumour Buster: The Nintendo 64 Classic Mini Game List 'Leak' is a Batch of Old PDF Files
Re: There's Plenty Of Retail Opportunity For Third Parties On Switch, Says Sold Out Boss
Re: Random: Did Reggie Just Accidentally Reveal Switch's Next Big Game Announcement?
I love 2d Nintendo games but at this point I believe Nintendo Ian's all of us are ready to bring back the 3d platformer. If Reggie is truly hinting at a donkey kong switch, I imagine it will follow odysseys footsteps and be a new donkey kong 3d which I have been waiting on for years. A new 3d Kirby would be great as well followed by a kid Icarus platinum game reimagining just to put some icing on the cake.
Re: Toys 'R' Us Seeks Bankruptcy Protection in North America
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Halloween Edition
I have a backlog that spans generations but all of it will be put on hold for odyssey. Still need to finish Samus returns. But may fire up silent hill 2 and Dracula x.
Re: Fire Emblem Warriors Season Pass DLC Will Include Plenty of Familiar Faces
Season passes and dlc in general are ridiculous. I still can't understand why collectors editions don't include the season pass. Most collectors editions are under 100 bucks and most season passes cost 20 to 30, so why not just include them in collector editions and charge 100-125? I ve rarely purchased dlc in the 10 years since the practices inception so season passes exclusion doesn't affect me in the slightest but you would think their addition to collectors editions would be a no brainer.
Re: Square Enix Explains Why The Secret Of Mana Remake Isn't Coming To Switch
People know that Nintendo is too secretive. Not 100 percent sure but I don't think many dev kits were sent out until the end of last fall. I bet a lot of third party games will eventually get a switch release. By the end of next year, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of multiplats release for all three systems on the same day.
Re: Injustice 2 Director on the Possibility of Bringing the Game to Switch
Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions (3DS)
Sony started the year with an awesome lineup and Nintendo has delivered something big every month since. I just got a 3ds two years ago and picked up another one last month. I get that some who have owned the system have played all the games and are sick of it but I m cool with the continued support. I have a pro so I do like great graphics and high powered systems but it's not a deal breaker for me. I still play my nes and snes Wii U along with every other system I own on a weekly basis. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a huge a backlog that I may never finish if Sony and Nintendo keep delivering so much content.
Re: Feature: 20 Games That Aren't On The SNES Classic Mini, But Really Should Be
The version of Mario all stars that included super Mario world should have definitely been included.
Re: Poll: Nintendo's Switch Arcade Archives - Is It the Retro Gaming You Want?
Autocorrect butchered my last sentence. Meant to say, just like they didn't didnt think classics would sell well.
Re: Poll: Nintendo's Switch Arcade Archives - Is It the Retro Gaming You Want?
Re: John Lewis Website Buckles Under SNES Classic Mini Pre-Order Demand
Re: Video: Exploring The 8-Bit Mega Man Games Of The SNES Era
Re: Metroid: Samus Returns Makes Modest Chart Debut in Japan, as Switch Still Dominates
Re: Toys 'R' Us Seeks Bankruptcy Protection in North America
Re: Nintendo Is Resurrecting The NES Classic Mini And Increasing SNES Classic Inventory
Re: L.A. Noire Is The Latest Game To Fall Foul Of The Dreaded "Switch Tax"
Re: A Nintendo 64 Die Hard Prototype Has Been Preserved
I loved the die hard trilogy on the psone and I personally feel like it's one of the best hidden gems on the system. It was one,of the first games I ever bought on launch and i can remember highly anticipating the game because I loved the die hard films as a kid.
Re: Splatoon 2 Staffer Jordan Amaro Gives Some Insight On His Approach To Game Design
Re: Hey! Pikmin Shows Nintendo Still Has A Soft Spot For Rare
Re: Snakebyte Announces The Wireless Game:Pad Pro For Switch
The switches pro controller may be my favorite controller of recent memory. Don't really know why anyone would want a professional grade controller on switch because more than likely games that would benefit from an elite style controller aren't coming to the system. I kind of feel like voice chat is pointless as well for the same reasons. It's not like nintendo is going into the cod business. I'm more tempted to buy those retro controllers, but to each their own I guess. Option are still great for those who want them.
Re: Poll: The New Nintendo 2DS XL is Out This Week - Are You Tempted?
I'm planning on getting another new 3ds xl and would be tempted with th 2ds xl if there were guaranteed ips screens on the system but I love the 3d and have a huge backlog of 3ds games.
Re: Guide: All The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild amiibo Unlocks
Never realized these were as rare as they are until I checked Amazon. Luckily I've been able to get most of them except sheik over the past two years. I can't understand why anyone would pay those crazy prices but obviously people do it or the prices would be lower. Anyone who thinks these are going to be worth what they are selling for on amazon and eBay in the future are delusional. More than likely a few them will be still be 50 bucks and maybe a small handful worth a hundred. Having said that, the costume unlocks are awesome and hopefully Nintendo treats amiibo the same in other games.
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th June (North America)
I cannot get enough of botw. I've played since launch and only have one divine beast left to takedown, 5 lynels, and 132 korok seeds left to find for the golden turd. I just need the lynel medal from kilton and I will finally be ready to finish my first playthrough and achieve 100 percent of everything offered in the game. This game is awesome and I will definitely speed through another playthrough on hard mode.
Re: Review: Cave Story+ (Switch)
I ve had the 3ds version in backlog for a long time but decided to hit up GameStop this morning. I really wish devs would bring back manuals or even a little book of artwork that explains the story. I missed out on 1001 spikes so I'll be getting that as well. I'm loving the game and feel bad that I held off playing it all these years. This is a must play in my opinion.
Re: Austrian Retail Listing Builds Hopes For WWE 2K18 On Switch
Hmm. Why the picture of koko b ware? Was he chosen for the box art? The picture has thrown me off, because I haven't seen or heard about koko b ware since I was a kid. I really miss rasslin.
Re: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Confirmed for 17th November Release on 3DS
I think it's also fair to assume that Mario may be a gamechanger like botw.
Re: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Confirmed for 17th November Release on 3DS
I think ultra sun and moon not being announced for switch means that we should keep our e3 expectations in check. Mario oddessey, sonic, splatoon 2, arms, and botw is a pretty good 1st year lineup. To be honest, the games I mentioned was why I purchased my switch on day one anything more s just icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong I want metroid and every other game rumored to be announced but I'm good with lineup we already know about.
Re: Nintendo's Online Service For Switch Will Offer "Ongoing Access" To Classic Games
Re: Wolf Link amiibo Among Re-Runs Planned for North America
Re: "No Plans" For Destiny 2 On Switch, Says Project Lead Who Loves Nintendo's Console
Haha
