@rjejr No they haven't but WiiU owners only get the version where it covers just two of the films. 😂
Only kidding. Before anyone takes me seriously.
As a Lego games and Jurassic park fan this will be a day of release buy, unless the do actually shaft the WiiU owners with some second rate version to the other consoles.
This game to me is the best valued, supported 3rd party game ever to have been on a Nintendo console. I still haven't stopped playing this since the date of release, and the season pass was great value for money and shows other developers that season passes work.
They can keep this shovel ware crap. Even if the install base trebled I'd be surprised if this sold. To be honest Ubisoft stick to churning out Just Dance, Assasins Cread and any other repetitive crap to make your books balance.
Its amazing how the handheld now holds its own to a last gen console. I did think that the 3DS colour pallet was a bit washed out compared to the Wii version.
@shynra I dont follow, how if its deleted can it be redownloaded when you dont put your nintendo ID on until after you've transfered your old system to the New 3DS, how does it know you're entitled to have it. I dont want to delete it, do my transfer and then realise when its too late that I cant have the game I paid for
@Jllanos22 Im the same as you, I have the New MH 3DS arriving, I dont like the fact that it asks to delete the micro SD card as part of the transfer. I guessing that will cause the game to be erased. Unless it comes with a download code?
Let's hope 'remastered' means graphical overhaul to a standard acceptable today, WiiU pad functionality, online feature and not just a straight port of a 2005 game who's graphics are 10yrs out of date even if it is cult classic.
@FritzFrapp Yes I've seen it, and I started the pre-order, but then thought I'm just being greedy as I got a good deal on the MH4 bundle with the money off using my reward card. Plus I would have to cancel the Majoras Mask Special edition I have ordered.. Once I thought about it I don't need the charger as I have two plus a XL cradle already. Did i want the figurine? No as I'd rather have the SE extras (now if it was an amiibo then that would have been different).
For a few minutes I thought about buying it to sell it on for profit but I would be a hypocrite if I did this. So I abandoned the pre-order.
They are now sold out so no regrets. 😀
@FritzFrapp Yes I agree. I'll stick with what I've got I think. At least I could use my saved reward points to bring the price down. Nintendo store is top price, no rewards and money taken from your account immediately pre order placed.
@FritzFrapp Ah that would explain that then. Well I've pre ordered the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate bundle and used my reward credit which bought the cost down below the normal version. At least I'll get one of the limited editions. Plus I've allready have the Majoras Mask Special Edition on Pre order so I think I have the best of both worlds. 😄
Game.co.uk now have the Monster Hunter 4 bundle on their site for £209.
No sight of the Majoras Mask bundle. In fact I can't find a single UK online retailer selling the MM version.
@FritzFrapp Oh well I'll be monitoring the game site throughout the night just in case they update their site. Don't want to miss out on the majoras mask edition if I can be quick enough.
Cant find any uk retailer taking pre-orders yet. Normally the websites are updated as soon as Nintendo announce. Are the Zelda and monster hunter bundles for xl version. Hoping they are. I've stored £50 on my game reward card in readiness for my purchase.
@Einherjar @Grumblevolcano @cfgk24 I emailed Nintendo UK yesterday to ask about the likelihood of the ambassador program including the 3DS XL model on another promotion. Well I got my reply from Nintendo about an XL version of the Ambassador offer:
Ref: 375016
Dear Andrew,
Thank you for contacting regarding the New Nintendo 3DS.
The New Nintendo 3DS used for the Ambassador Programme is the standard sized console and there are currently no plans to release an XL console edition for the Ambassador Programme.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL will available later in 2015 upon the official launch of the New Nintendo 3DS range,
If you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,

@Peach64 I'm the same. I have the XL better for my hands as the smaller version just gave me cramp in my hands.
Having got the email I emailed the customer support email address and asked if I could upgrade the offer to an XL version - If you don't ask you don't get!
However I haven't had a reply back nor do I expect one.
I considered buying it and then selling it on via ebay but then theres the hassle of doing it and the risk of someone scamming you, so I'm happy to wait for the general release of the new 3DSXL, you never know they may offer the same promotion for the new 3DS XL in the future. (I live in hope)
This is really bad for people who can only afford a couple a month. Or as many have said don't have the game until Christmas day and then want to collect the figures.
It bugs me when people buy multiple units with the cold intentions of selling them at hiked up extortionate prices, but I suppose that's life in this comercialised world we live in.
I did want to preorder all 12 but could afford the £130+ it would cost as I envisaged this would happen.
I've managed to get 9 of the 12 now. (Yoshi, Kirby and Villager are outstanding)
The next wave I have preordered as not going to get caught again.
They are still selling the next set that are on Pre-Order for £10-99 Online, However the set just released have all gone up. I couldn't afford to buy all the first set so that's annoying - especially as so many of then are showing out of stock and eBay have sellers selling certain figures at £50+. Showing that people have bough maybe ten at a time and selling the rest at inflated prices.
I think it would be great for nintendo to release a home screen creation app with the ability to upload and share, maybe even sell with the proceeds raised going into your nintendo account and allow you to buy games from e-shop. I bet there are loads of talented artists out there.
Mines wrapped up under the tree alongside accompanying Amiibo's and the gamecube controller adapter. Nintendo - you have until December 25th to solve this problem (please).
I still have locked away in my attic, 100's of Warhammer figures that I painted for both the original board game and the Warhammer Quest and RPG. I also had the original Warhammer 4000 game on the Amiga and will most definitely be buying this on release. When is it due in Europe?? I can imaging the game pad will be the ideal for this style of game.
The problem I found here in the UK, there were hardly any Black Friday Weekend deals for the WiiU, compared to the hundreds of XBox & PS game deals. So not surprising that the WiiU hasn't performed well. I don't think this is something to worry about, its just the result of the retailers not putting WiiU into the mix on a fair playing field
@matt3980
So true, I bought the season pass and absolutely the best choice I made along with the season pass to MK8.
This game has by far been the most addictive for me (The adventure mode maps im loving), followed by Bayanetta 1 (havent started 2 yet) and MK8.
Unfortunately all my other WiiU games have been resigned to gathering dust, which is a shame as I havent completed DEUS X or AC3 yet and AC4 is still in the wrapping from my birthday!
With Smash, GameCube Controller adapter and two Amiibo sitting under the tree, my Christmas is made. (If I can get time away from the wife and kids!)
@PvtOttobot I had the pre-order from initial date of announcement the game was coming to WiiU when it was initially priced over £50. I use Game as I get cash back from reward points. As far as I was aware Amazon when I placed the pre-order with Game, Amazon was only a few pounds cheaper so I stuck with Game for the loyalty rewards. You're lucky for getting it at that price because if id seen that price I would have changed to them.
However that said I still would have cancelled the pre-order, Not to boast about it as you suggest, but to save my hard earned money, because experience tells me that the lack of any news or reviews before the release date along with general feedback relating to the game on the other formats generally means the game isn't going to be the blockbuster game I originally was willing to spend my money on. I will say from experience that when a publisher holds games back from the press until after the release date then alarm bells ring and 95% of the time that's justified. I'm glad you're enjoying the game. Its all down to personal preferences at the end of the day.
Well even without a single review of the WiiU version anywhere, having read all these articles over the past few days, i'm glad I cancelled my pre-order just days prior to release. I'm guessing based on all these articles from NL that the review score, if it arrives tomorrow, will be between 5 & 7 /10 so I'm happy with my decision not to spend £49. I'm unlikely to buy this now until maybe its £10 in Game in April or there about, even then i'll still think hard before making the decision.
Where are the reviews? Having cancelled my preorder to avoid wasting hard earned money, I'd need to be convinced now to reorder it. It's been two days since its U.S. release and no one has reviewed it, yet Smash Bro's is even out yet and has already been reviewed.
Too late, yesterday I cancelled my preorder. I thought if no site had a review the night before it was released, combined with no released facts about the WiiU specifics or any gameplay videos. I wasn't happy to risk wasting my money, as game.co.uk would have processed my order today ready for delivery on the UK day of release.
Still no reviews even though it's been released and on sale for the last 12hours. I've been checking meta critic and the only reviews are those of the purchasers and those are all negative. Stating hacking is done by pressing the X button (no skil); gameplay is boring; the eviroment is boring and the driving is atrocious.
Still eager to see a review though as I can buy it if they are positive.
Has anyone seen a review of watchdogs for WiiU yet on any site? Its released in four days in UK and I have had it on pre-order since day one. I am in two minds to cancel it and was holding out for a review prior to release so I could make up my mind. Is there anything anywhere that shows the WiiU version of Watchdogs? Lastly this DLC is this now the same as other consoles or is there DLC that we haven't got as I believed we weren't getting any?
Shame, like many i'm a fan of the series, and i love the XCom games old and new. This would have been a purchase if it had been produced correctly. Cant believe this game is so expensive with such cheep production values.
The best £11 spent on DLC. So looking forward to new challenges. Can't wait for Amiibo update either. Would you credit it 43 yrs old and wanting toy figures 😆
Even though it's the same ol conveyor belt manufactured formula. This will still be the biggest seller for Ubi and I bet the Wii version will outsell any of Ubi's WiiU software released to date!
I really hope that this is a big success for both Platinum Games, Nintendo & the WiiU On Friday gone I got the following email from Game.co.uk "Thank you for preordering Bayonetta 2 from GAME.co.uk Due to the epic size of Bayonetta 2 we have a lot to do to make sure it gets to you on launch day! To help everything go smoothly for you, we will be processing your order and taking payment from Monday 20th October."
Now i'm guessing that the 'epic size' is referring to the number of the pre orders Game.co.uk are processing which is why they are taking payment four days prior to release. I have already received an email on Monday telling me Bayanetta 2 special edition is already on its way. Here's hoping it comes tomorrow, a day early 😃
"t's a release that'll perhaps be battling the odds to make a major commercial impact," Maybe this quote is not so close to the mark - I Just got the following email from Game.co.uk
"Thank you for preordering Bayonetta 2 from GAME.co.uk

Thanks for the information and I happily stand corrected. The developers then must be very happy with these figures then. I'd still be interested in how many units are sold world wide, especially in UK.
This for me is a great game, love the Zelda lore and I believe its been made with a lot of love and respect to Nintendo, Zelda and the games playing public. Certainly my game of 2014 so far. (Although I have Bayonetta on pre order)

I've had this on preorder since day of announcement and have resisted the temptation to cancel the pre order, although that temptation has become harder to resist as the release gets closer and only negative info is being released via hearsay whilst Ubi stay silent.
Right now this news still hasn't softened that temptation and unless something comes soon from Ubi then this will be a cancelation on the 15th November. (Deadline I've set myself to make up my mind)
So far there are more negatives than positives. Original delay to allow more time to work on WiiU specific gamepad integration only to apparently have a map on the gamepad!! No DLC!! No official released screenshots/in game footage/game specifics 😦
Lots of 'what nots' the WiiU version has instead of 'what does'.
Come on Ubi break your silence for those of us who remain committed.
Prime time TV multi channel Advertising. How many WiiU adverts has anyone seen on UK TV? I've seen maybe one prior to the release of MK8. I've seen none for Hyrule Warriors and non for Bayonetta 2. Surely the aim is to get more non WiiU gamers to buy a WiiU, so how can that possibly be achieved without advertising? It also will have the positive side effect of reminding those disengaged WiiU owners whose WiiU's are gathering dust, the ones that don't frequent sites like this or watch Nintendo Direct or buy a Nintendo gaming magazine (if there are any left as official Nintendo mag closed this month) and most importantly who don't buy any games, that the WiiU is still going and its future is bright. Especially if their only contact with the gaming retail is via high street stores like Game and HMV which both have stopped supporting the WiiU. My local game only has 'traded in' used WiiU titles and a minor selection of eShop cards on its counter 😟
How can anyone be happy with with 190k units sold for Hyrule Warriors when SSB sold 705000 & MK8 (released months ago) is still selling with 60k? I bet the developers aren't happy! I'd be interested in what sales numbers the developers need it to reach/pass for them to see their game as a commercial success?
Surely this number is a small percentage of the WiiU's out there in the US.
I wonder what the overal world sales of HW is?
I absolutely love this game and have the season DLC pass and thought this would be a surprise console selling hit across the world. Then again it can't sell if no one knows it exists and we are back to the subject of lack of prime time Advertising. Word of mouth only goes so far Nintendo.
@IceClimbers Still not good enough. One TV advert (commercial) for the U.S. and none for UK or Europe. Melkac is right to protest as I did earlier on this thread. Only thing is that those decision makers in Nintedo HQ's in our various regions aren't listening!
"t's a release that'll perhaps be battling the odds to make a major commercial impact," I'd say that statement is a definite truth in the UK. Other than on specific Nintendo gaming sites like this one, Bayonetta has had no exposure. Where are the prime time UK TV adverts? This game could definitely sell WiiU consoles. This will be the game of 2014 and no doubt the game that takes me away from Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8.

I have already received an email on Monday telling me Bayanetta 2 special edition is already on its way. Here's hoping it comes tomorrow, a day early 😃

Maybe this quote is not so close to the mark - I Just got the following email from Game.co.uk
"Thank you for preordering Bayonetta 2 from GAME.co.uk

Re: Nintendo Celebrates Super Smash Bros. and Wii U Success in NPD Results
@Faruko

Re: Watch Dogs Companion App Updated For Compatibility With Wii U
@Worthy
Nope as none exists! 😂
Re: Watch Dogs Companion App Updated For Compatibility With Wii U
Re: Nintendo UK Executive Says Wii U Has Had "Quite a Good Year So Far"
Word of mouth only goes so far
Re: Nintendo Celebrates Super Smash Bros. and Wii U Success in NPD Results
Re: Feature: Bayonetta - Creating Gaming's Combative Heroine
@IceClimbers Still not good enough. One TV advert (commercial) for the U.S. and none for UK or Europe. Melkac is right to protest as I did earlier on this thread. Only thing is that those decision makers in Nintedo HQ's in our various regions aren't listening!

"t's a release that'll perhaps be battling the odds to make a major commercial impact,"
I'd say that statement is a definite truth in the UK.
