This past week, I’ve been playing Pokémon Ultra Sun again. I did know I had it until a few months ago. I might play some more of it this weekend.

@WiltonRoots I keep saying that too, and then people disagree. But there is so much going on that just looks like things are heading towards that direction, or at least something like it. Meanwhile, Nintendo continues to stay strong.

I mean, I knew they would and I haven’t seen them myself, but eventually it’ll just lead to a decline in quality and people will lose interest. Like most series.

Switch games still dominating the chart!

This looks amazing! I would definitely try this out. But damn, Fall of 2025? I doubt I’ll even remember it by that time. Still, this looks like exactly what I would want to play.

@garfreek Shield is. Lacking in a lot of areas. I have watched my brother play through it twice. I am enjoying it for what it is though, don’t get me wrong. I think I might prefer Let’s Go more and liked the little bit of Shining Pearl I played. Arceus is really fun to me since it’s so different from the other Pokémon games.

That’s impressive. I assumed PS2 was the top seller everywhere, no idea DS had outsold it. And now the Switch too. I doubt the Switch will surpass it worldwide at this point, but it is still doing phenomenally well.

3 games and 20 hours for me! Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! Plus Shield and Legends Arceus. I still don’t own a Switch for myself. But I’m trying to get one.

See, now this is actual news. I haven’t played Mega Man much. I played a little of Anniversary Collection on Xbox with my brother and sucked at it. But I would be interested in trying something new in the series if it comes out finally. Are all the games like the main series? I do want to get into it…

Sega reviving series, now Capcom. Come on, Nintendo, follow suit!

There’s not THAT many of them, right? But I guess it would be better to give them a rest before everyone gets burned out on them, like those increasingly over abundant Metroidvanias lately.

@Andyv01 Those two games ran perfectly fine on Switch. Trust me, I’d know. Plus, I’ve never seen anything actually rate low with Famitsu. I’ve always assumed they give everything high marks and weren’t as picky as western reviews.

@Zadaris Hentai Golf is good too! I haven’t played it myself though.

@IceEarthGuard I love anime style games. But yeah, regulations like that can definitely be abused because most of the time the characters do look young. *****.

@RiasGremory Although there was apparently a patch on the Japanese versions that fixed a lot of it. So if that were the case, the western versions would likely already have it added in by default, right?

Hopefully we’ll still at least get IF games on Nintendo. The only next one is Neptunia Riders vs. Dogoos, I hope this doesn’t mean they’ll give up with Nintendo entirely. I really like what they make. Hmmm. I wonder if this is why they’re suddenly releasing their games on Xbox? I wonder if this means they’ll end up releasing the Re;Birth trilogy on PS4 in the west after all? Hopefully something!

@HeadPirate You are absolutely welcome! I love how you always make the point about how legal stuff works in lawsuit posts, especially PalWorld.

As for theories. I have no idea. There’s never been any problems before. Plus some of the other stuff that IS on Switch makes these games incredibly tame. I feel like someone somewhere messed up at IF and that led to this unfortunate situation. But I guess we can only wait and see if anything more is said about all this. They’ve dropped the ball with ESRB once and forgot to mention one of their games had swearing one time, which led to a lot of reworking to be done. Hopefully we get some update though.

@ottoecamn If it were true I wouldn’t be getting some of the awful ads I somehow get and rather would not see. And I LIVE in California.

@dskatter I think Idea Factory messed up somewhere. Wouldn’t be the first time. One of their most recent games they forgot to tell ESRB the game had swearing, and had to rewrite a lot of it.

@dskatter Yeah, I always like HeadPirate’s long and insightful posts, especially on lawsuit stuff, but this seems like a stretch. There’s so much smut on Switch. Now suddenly these cutesy in Neptunia’s case, or rather disturbing (Death End) aren’t acceptable? We had freaking Doki Doki Literature Club! And that game left a horrible impression on my brother to the point he couldn’t even get rid of the game for anything.

@IceEarthGuard Exactly right. Also, don’t we have DOOM 2016 and Mortal Kombat on Switch?! So the new Death End can’t be THAT much worse than the previous two. Which were pretty brutal. Maybe someone at IFI dropped the ball? Sisters vs. Sisters they screwed up with ESRB and had to go back and remove all the swearing. There is definitely something fishy to all this.

Weird. All the Idea Factory games have been uncensored on Switch compared to PlayStation lately. Man, this sucks! I’d much rather play on Switch than PlayStaion. This totally ruined my brother’s day, Neptunia and Pokémon are his favorite game series…

@Guitar_bard I definitely agree. I’ve played things like Atelier or Dragon Ball on PlayStation and Switch. Me and my brother both, but we just prefer the Switch. Sure the games look prettier on PS, but the Switch is just a lot more fun to play.

I thought we were long past the days of edgy. Reimaginings? Reboots? Whatever you want to call this crap…

I was going to make a snarky comment about it being a slow news day. But THIS is actually something interesting. Why can’t more “Random” articles actually be something worthwhile? I never would have imagined there would be a whole other set of skits for a different language version of the show. That’s really cool.

I’m curious, not that I do this since I have no technical know how, but if someone sold modded save data in the US, would they also be fined/arrested/etc. as well? I see stuff like this occasionally for sale.

I’ve heard a rumor the Switch 2 will make you a freshly baked cinnamon roll every time you clear a level or chapter in a game.

That’s very impressive. I’ve never played a Xenoblade game, but that right there shows me they put quite a lot of effort into making it a worthwhile experience. Is it just as verbal in the dub as well? A lot of games I do enjoy really cut corners for dubs and you’re forced to read it all, even if the original is fully voiced. Idea Factory.

I agree, it can be a slog to scroll through. It IS good Nintendo isn’t strict like it used to be. But there’s just so much junk on the eShop. Some of it isn’t bad like Pretty Girls Poker. But a lot of stuff is just like “Why is this even here?”. I’m not saying they need to be strict again. Just maybe categorize better of something. Even something like “related to games you’ve played.” Though I guess if you buy one of those charming hentai games, you’d probably be stuck.

Now what would be GREAT on eShop, PSN, Xbox’s whatever it’s called, and general streaming in general is a ”DISLIKE” button! Seriously. A dislike button that WORKS would do wonders. I’m sick of always trying to scroll these stores and crap like Fortnite, Among Us, or whatever stupid fad is being shoved in my face relentlessly keeps showing up. If we had the option to just press +/Start/Options, and dislike something for it to never appear again everything could be so much better. Hulu kinda lets you. But half the time everything comes back. Tubi has it, but it does nothing. I know those are streaming services, but it’s absolutely what is needed across streaming, gaming stores, etc..

@SillyG Well. I’m glad that’s all it was. Considering how wholesome and silly those games are most of the time, I was very shocked by your comment on the rating. I guess Australia is extremely strict more so than what I’ve read before…
