Re: Joe Dever's Lone Wolf Leaps On To The Switch eShop Next Week

Kisame83

Oh my god. I've actually been trying to scale back storage use on my phone. Like Implosion and Ocean Horn and Batman before it, here comes another GB+ back to my mobile device!

BTW, this game is awesome. I never finished- it was originally episodic and I fell off after episode 2. Then a rights issue saw it pulled from stores for a bit. Glad to see it getting more love. Anyone looking for reviews can just hop on a mobile storefront like Google Play, or read reviews at places like Touch Arcade. This is an established titletitle.

Re: This Portable Console Has Over 350 Built-In Games So You'll Never Be Bored Again

Kisame83

I've got a few meticulously curated front ends for decades of ROM collection. So...no thanks. I'll continue to wait for Virtual Console. This offers me nothing that my phone plus SNES30 8BitDo controller don't already. I'd honestly rather they charge more but polish the build quality. If it's going to be this cheap, then it's just a bargain bin emu machine. In an age where emulation availability is not a rarity.

Re: Pokémon and Nintendo Titles Held Back By Black Friday Deals in UK Charts

Kisame83

@Rudy_Manchego I think it does. I known this isnt ENTIRELY Nintendo, but their policies play a part. Here is an example. Walking through Best Buy, Dragon Ball XV2 was selling for $20 on Black Friday. The best deal I could find for the Switch version was just under $40. Their policy benefits them with their captive audience (the Nintendo faithful). There's a certain Stockholm Syndrome in effect. Just look at comments like in this thread that "prices drop too quickly." As if saving money is a bad thing lol. But I can't imagine this gets them money from those with multiple consoles. I can't imagine people with options flocking to Cave Story for $30 when that can often be had for $10 on sale with competitors. So far, Cave Story + has had a Switch discount that was still almost $10 more than the base Steam price. And that's ignoring that the original game is freeware and can be just downloaded to your PC if you don't care about the soundtrack remix or new sprites. It isnt even like portability is a major selling point with that game, since it has been sitting on 3DS eshop for half that price for years (plus 3DS had that remake).

Just one example, but at times Nintendo (and/or those publishing with them) fail to compete with THEMSELVES.

Re: Guide: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Top Tips And Tricks

Kisame83

I'm a Skyrim vet, and don't care. This is my fourth version (360, Steam, Xbox One). My brother asked me...Because he desperately wants me to buy Shadows of War...Why I would bother, with the superior X1 release on hand. I mentioned portability, and his response was "crap, I really DO need a Switch!"

As for this guide- the race thing is so true! Conventional wisdom suggests an Altmer or Breton for a mage. My first Altmer grew bored of mage politics and found himself embroiled in the intrigue of the Thieves Guild. I later made an Argonian who played the Mage's College storyline all the way through, purely because who would picture an Argonian Archmage?

As for the stones? They do more than just stats. However, if you are just unsure how you want to apec, go to Markarth and find the Lovers Stone. 15% increase to ALL skills.

On equipment- Smith your own! And learn enchantment! You don’t have to go crazy down the line, but even basic iron and steel pieces with a minor stamina or magicka regent enchantment will fetch you an exponential increase in sales compared to the base pieces (and each one you prepare for sale raises your skill). The same goes for Alchemy. If you have a ton of foraged goods to offload, find a table and see what you can make. Selling ingredients hardly news you enough money for a bottle of mead, but selling a handful of healing or stamina potions will actually net you some value.

As for mods, it bothers me when people act like they aren't a factor. Because they often don't understand. I have one friend recently go off on the game based on rumors who thought any game that needs mods to be good is a bad one. All mods are, are tools of a wonderful community putting out free DLC. There are content restoration mods, new homes and settlements, even fully voiced companions with their own storylines, etc. Plenty to play with. Some of my fav are the music mods. On Xbox I play with a Witcher 3 blending (mixed with the in game OST), and on PC I use one that mixes in a variety of fantasy themes. Lord of the Rings in particular- it is awesome walking into a settlement with the Rohan theme gently playing. And the Zelda stuff is nothing new to PC players. THAT SAID! People who act like this version isn’t worth the time due to no mods are being ridiculous. This game is packed to the gills with so much content I still find new things. You're hard-pressed to find a game out there PERIOD with as much to do. Aside from other Bethesda titles (Here's hoping for Fallout Switch editions!), I think ive scratched the post-Skyrim itch with Witcher, Breath of the Wild, and Horizon.

Re: Video: Check Out the Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns New Neighbors Pack DLC

Kisame83

@Lizuka I can't speak to the PS4 version. But I have Stardew on Steam and Switch. The PC version I played exclusively on my GPD Win (portable gaming PC with buttons built in). I used mouse controls once in a blue moon. On Switch, the ONLY time I mess with the cursor is for pulling up active quests (I miss the PC versions hot key lol). But it is so infrequent that most of the time I don't see the cursor or have a need for it. I'd highly recommend giving it another shot! I've been obsessed, and like you I prefer the more traditional Harvest Moon entries.

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th November (North America)

Kisame83

I'd insta-buy Batman...But not for $40. I have it on X1 and iOS. I tend to want it portable, and the mobile port is poorly optimized. But this is a $25 game on other platforms that frequently goes on sale, so I'll wait and see if this drops in price.

Re: Out Today: Enticing Switch eShop Titles Arrive to Stretch Your Bank Account

Kisame83

@bolt05 for what it is worth, it doesn't to me. I still mess around with Skyrim know my laptop and Xbox One. It us still great. The only detriment to the Switch version is the lack of mods. Until you play with them, it doesn't seem like a bug deal, but the mod community for that game is amazing. I've got fully voiced companions with unique quest lines, tweaks to improve the magic systems and vampire/werewolf skill chains, massive community bug fix package, half-finished side areas fleshed out to match lore, etc. So that will be missed from the Switch/vanilla version. But, the come game itself plus expansions is still massive and packed with content.

Re: Attack On Titan 2 Will Launch in March on Nintendo Switch

Kisame83

I LOVED the first game. Bought it twice- Xbox One for multiplayer with my brothers and Vita for portable binging. If this is as good I may do the same- the Switch version won't have the sacrifices the Vita version did last time around. Of course I'd probably grab a physical copy on discount for the second purchase. I really loved how you could feel the "licensed musuou" DNA in the game, but it managed to do its own thing and capture the feel of the series. It made me wish they could break the mold if they ever revisit DW Gundam. Use the structure of a large evolving battlefield and multiple hero units, but develop a game that captilizes on the IP instead of re-skinning Dynasty Warriors. That mold worjs great for DQ, Zelda, and FE, but more licenses could use the AoT approach. I'm rambling so I'll end this now lol

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th October (North America)

Kisame83

I have Fire Emblem Warriors coming in the mail today. I've had Revenant Saga on my backlog for some time, and wouldn't mind it on Switch. I just cant justify Kemco pricing outside of a sale. It is currently on sale on mobile for $4, so I may just go ahead and add it to my android collection instead.

Re: Soapbox: Breath Of The Wild Is Amazing, But Is It The 3D Zelda That Enthusiasts Expected?

Kisame83

@erv You should probably at least skim an article before making bold declarations about it. He states numerous times that most of these thing are great for the game, and says the game is one of the best he has played. He is only analyzing things from the perspective of losses to the traditional Zelda formula. YMMV, but I don't think it is whining to criticize a Zelda having lackluster dungeons and next to no focus (before DLC) on the Master Sword. These aren't demands, these aren't bashing the game. Just points of discussion and critique.

I feel I'd be remiss if I didn't point out the irony of whining about someone supposedly whining 😉

Re: Sony Doesn't Consider Handheld Gaming To Be A "Huge Market Opportunity"

Kisame83

If the vita had two more shoulder buttons instead of a useless rear touch pad, more stable streaming, and actual first party support...it probably would do quite well. The reason it is only huge in Japan is because it is basically only getting love from JRPG devs. Falcom, Atlus, Squenix, NIS localizations, Bandai-Namco with their licensed SRPGs- they basically keep it alive. And even then, half of this stuff doesn't get localized- or was cross play with PS4 and we only get the PS4 version, which cuts off potential sales (yea I'm still salty about Chaos Rings Trilogy lol)

Sad that Sony almost immediately stopped supporting this thing after 3DS took off, and then blamed the market for not liking handhelds. Which, again, if one looks to 3DS, Switch, and Japanese support of Vita, is clearly not the case.

Re: Rumour: Netflix App Ready For Switch, All It Needs Is Nintendo's Go-Ahead

Kisame83

@Nintendoforlife that's basically the angle I am arguing. I'm not talking about system-selling killer apps. I'm referring to device flexibility and usability in comparison to other devices people own, and where attention may drift to. I mean, I specifically mentioned a scenario where one may put down a Switch and pick up an older device.

Re: Rumour: Netflix App Ready For Switch, All It Needs Is Nintendo's Go-Ahead

Kisame83

@Nintendoforlife just seems a step back. Literally every device, including Nintendo's direct competition....And including Nintendo's other two supported device lines...Has this functionality. It just sort of stands out. This thing is more or less descended from the shield- a gaming device with full tablet capability. I'm not expecting to get Word and take photos here, but a browser and youtube seems fairly basic. Also, common sense says you want your consumer to NEED your device. The competitor strategy has been to deter their rivals by making their machine the centerpiece of your entertainment center. The Wii tried this too, with its TV remote thing and video apps. It failed, and I understand them not going that route. But it stands to reason if I'm idling, they don't want me to grab my Vita over my Switch for something like youtube. Because when I'm done with the video, I'm going to fire up a Vita game or go on PSN. Money that they'd rather I look to spend on eshop.

Re: Review: Sine Mora EX (Switch)

Kisame83

The price disparity is what drove me to buy Cave Story + on Steam (on sale at the time for $10). Shame, I'd love to have both on Switch, but I'd be talking a combined $60 vs $20. And we can talk all day about cart prices on big games leading to "Switch Tax," but that doesn't explain $10-20 indie games coming out for more on this platform. In comparison, I jumped right on Implosion, even though I have it on other platforms.

I'm not opposed to a good sale, though. I jumped on the I Am Setsuna sale, even though I have it on Steam (from an earlier sale as well lol).

EDIT: The Amazon price is fair, I'm eyeing that. The Axiom Verge recommendation made me cry. The standard Switch version costs the same as the Mutliverse special edition on PS4. Which lead me down a mental path to "eh, I have it on Vita and PS4 already..."

Re: Switch Versions Of Oceanhorn And forma.8 Outsell Console Rivals

Kisame83

There are number of Indies I haven't picked up because I have them elsewhere. Plus that Switch tax, as they say. It has stopped me from a couple of impulse purchases. Gunvolt's price prompted me to get GV2 on my 3DS, and Cave Story + pushed me over to Steam where it was then on sale for $10. So I feel they need to sort their pricing out, because some of these are budget releases on other platforms that are priced anywhere from high-end mobile pricing to full on portable premium. This isn't NEW (look at the highway robbery that is any console version of Plants Vs Zombies, vs the coffee money it cost on mobile), but since these titles are the most attractive offerings currently for the platform...It stands out.

That said, the Switch is a FANTASTIC home for these. Just last night I was clearing space on an android handheld I have, and decided to uninstall Implosion, since that has a proud home on my Switch. With some sales or price drops (or maybe just around holiday bonus time), I look forward to making the "switch" for some of these games onto this platform. The seamless transition from console to portable, the ease with which it can incorporate traditional gaming and touch input... It is the perfect indie device. And that's coming from someone who invests in GPD products, which are all about giving you Android and Win 10 OS' in a portable gaming-friendly package.

Re: Gamevice Launches Patent Case Against the Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con Concept

Kisame83

They're going to have a hard time proving this, since Logitech (the Powershell) and Moga (the Ace Pro) also sell the same idea as their Wikipad/Gamevice. Heck, I specifically remember, bet the appeal when Gamevice was approaching launch being that you could basically turn your iPad into a Wii U- they clearly were borrowing from the Gamepad concept. I also -think- Logitech and Moga beat them to market, and still operate strong. Pretty sure you are supposed to defend your supposed patent from the get go or it weakens your position (same reason Nintendo C&Ds large fan projects).

Re: Axiom Verge Launches on Switch on 17th October

Kisame83

I know I'm in the minority, but I hate the term Metroidvania. Just because it is this weird slam together of two different series, in a way we don't do for anything else. And regardless of the games themselves. Case in point- Axiom Verge is a love letter to Super Metroid. It is a Metroid clone, same way one would call Oceanhorn a Zelda Clone. There is no 'vania in the mix here. I mean, there have been Zelda-inspired games with RPG ,echanics, but we don't call them...I dunno, Zelda of Mana's or something. You have to admit it is bad when people routinely label Metroid games as Metroidvanias lol
-gets off soap box-
But, yea, awesome game lol.

Re: Netflix Renews Castlevania Series For A Second, Longer Season

Kisame83

I'm iffy on the gore. On the one hand, I had no problem with it. On the other hand, my son wants to watch it. I've introduced him to the series via virtual console and discussions on SotN. I feel old saying this, but if they toned it down a bit they could widen their audience.

Aside from that, I had a blast watching it. My only complaint is four episodes?? Isn't 10-13 normal? The only other time I remember being this disappointed in one of their shows ending was Stranger Things. And this is much shorter. I'm surprised they didn't just bill it as a movie.

Re: Discord is Interested in Supporting Nintendo Switch, But Don't Hold Your Breath

Kisame83

@Zyph I understand that, however as a consumer im still a little frustrated that this has translated to being my problem. Apps like this should be supplementary, not providing core services. Let the users deal with that problem. If you have eight joycons going, you're probably doing a local party and maybe have to be careful about online services. In fact, they already implement this on a case by case basis. Mario Kart supports 4 player local, or 2 player + online. It just seems that the demand for a built in party chat system, as seen in <insert name of just about every competitor's platform> outweighs cases of people linking two Switches together to get 8 player local Mario Kart going. And, with other consoles, if I've participated in LAN parties with a larger group, we understood that we were going to be largely offline for the session.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Expansion Pass DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Kisame83

I'm ok with this. It sounds like added content, not cut content. If you don't want it, don't buy. Simple! I myself may skip pack one and get the second. Unless it's a game with 3+ packs coming in a season pass, I often do. The first bit of content is often a challenge mode or something minor (the first Mass Effect comes to mind). I know people are upset about the difficulty, but Zelda usually doesn't have a difficulty setting to begin with. It looks to me like that pack is to add challenge modes. Nothing in it that will damage to game if you don't get it, compared to 360-era Bioware games which had that phase of characters removed and made pre-order incentives plus online passes.

Re: Miyamoto on the Reasoning Behind Super Mario Run's Pricing

Kisame83

@SanderEvers For a Nintendo product, I understand this complaint. For me, also being a mobile, PC, and X1/PS4 owner, I'm used to this practice these days. You can't, for example, play Destiny if your internet is out. What will be truly annoying here for Nintendo fans will be tablet players who play on commutes. Less likely to have a data plan on a tablet.

The price of this concerns me. I'll get it, but, I feel like it doesn't look at the competition. For example, the Rayman games on mobile range from $3 to free. Two of them actually have almost the exact same design philosophy we are seeing in Super Mario Run.

Then again... Squenix and Capcom also charge whatever they want and it seems to work for them. It's possible that the pedigree and name recognition will pull the numbers they want. I don't think these companies need their mobile apps to do Angry Birds numbers because these are side ventures and not their bread and butter like it is for mobile-focused developers.

Re: Review: Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS)

Kisame83

@rjejr I wouldn't go so far as to call it two games at $80. Yes, as with every Pokemon game, there are version exclusive monsters. But they do that to encourage trading, not force you to buy two copies. For example, if you reallllly want a certain monster, you can typically request it at the online trade station, and throw up something of value from your collection. Come back after awhile- chances are you'll have ,are that trade (so long as you aren't one of those psychos asking for legendaries for their starting area birds).

Aside from those, and the day or night asthetic, the games are the same experience.

Re: Prototype Of Unreleased SNES Title Shadowhawk Surfaces Online

Kisame83

Ah Shadowhawk. I was a fan as a kid, and still have some issues. He was like Batman crossed with Punisher (very 90s lol). I remember at one point him running into Spawn while both where looking for an arsonist. His villains where usually interesting, though they tended not to last long because Shadowhawk went for the jugular lol. I'll definitely try to track this down.

Re: Review: Gotta Protectors (3DS eShop)

Kisame83

@maceng my guess would be, from reading the review, that a 9 is for excellent games and 10 is pure perfection or innovation. Obviously this will be subjective to the reviewer. Still, if you look back at the review, he does note a couple things that I read as flaws, even though the tone is generally gushing and doesn't highlight them in any way as a deal breaker. For example, he says more than once that the action can get overwhelming. More so if you're not playing with a friend, and (this inference is mine) a lack of online and limited download play hurt that. For example, I'd love to get this to play with my best friend, but he's in another county and we usually just play online since we only get together every so often. I'll use download play with my son and hope he's pleased with the class options lol. It arguably might have been a better fit for the Wii U in this regard. He also mentions the story being minimal (though funny and well translated).

I don't want to speak FOR him, especially since I see he replied. But those minor things, I can see keeping it from a "perfect" score, even if he personally didn't find them overtly negative aspects. Part of reviewing is accounting for different tastes amongst readers.

Re: Nintendo 64 Emulator Unceremoniously Yanked From Xbox One Store

Kisame83

@Elysium personally, I use emulation for playing games I can't otherwise play. I also support official releases. Example: I've been slowly picking my way through Golden Sun, Mario RPG, and the first Mario & Luigi on my android devices via emulation. Also bought them on release on Virtual Console (upgraded in the case if Mario RPG from the Wii VC purchase). Another example- Ogre Battle. That series' rights have gone to Square Enix. They don't put much thought into it these days. They don't seem interested in releasing it to Wii U VC in NA. My preferred version is actually the PSX version (I own both versions physically but lack working hardware), and they have no interest in tossing that up on PSN. I still fired up the Wii shop and bought it there, and then ripped my PS1 disc and play that via emulation. Ditto Valkyrie Profile- I bought it on PS1 and PSP, play it these days with emulation.

And there are games that won't come here. Fan translated games, games that just seem to not have the interest (Mischief Makers comes to mind), etc. I don't fault commented m companies enforcing their rights, and I believe in putting my money where my mouth is on official releases. Just know that people may choose to emulate for more reasons that just to pirate. The cases I mentioned aren't much different from using you media player to rip the mp3 tracks from a CD so you can use them in a playlist on your phone, for example.

Re: Review: Mega Man X2 (New 3DS / SNES)

Kisame83

@khaosklub I totally agree. I feel the best way to approach the X series is as a separate entity. It's not the steady tense platforming experience of its predecessor. It's much more of an action platformer hybrid, a subgenre that saw a heavy rise on the SNES. New control options allowed them to give characters new mobility options. The focus is more on the gun...er...buster play and your reflexes than it is on knowing a level layout or timing that perfect jump.

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th July (North America)

Kisame83

I may look at Devil Survivor 2, depending on price. I have it and the first physical, but wound up buying the first on sale. It's a "first world problem," but that cart slot is competitive! It's the same reason I've been playing Chrono Trigger on my phone lately and not on my 3DS (it would mean having to cycle Ocarina in and out, any my son has been playing that).

Re: Review: Final Fight (Wii U eShop / SNES)

Kisame83

Just ran through this game and Magic Sword with a friend on my Xbox One. The 360 arcade port combo went backwards compatible. Sadly, the two virtual console offerings suffer from concessions to make it work. The sequels, though, are very worthy.

Re: Feature: What Are Your Thoughts, So Far, on Pokémon GO?

Kisame83

I live in a city and stops/gyms are not plentiful. There's two stops near me, and more plus a gym miles away. As I don't have a car, I'm unlikely to make the trip regularly shrug
The best stories around this game are about people running into other players. And I love the office talk, with people you wouldn't think of having downloaded the game. It seems to have a broad, casual, Pokemon Snap-ish appeal.

At the end of the day, the low encounter rates and stops/gyms means my actual gameplay experience is pretty slow and boring. At no point have I spent time with this game and not wished I had spent it preparing for the upcoming Sinnoh Classic tournament instead.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (North America)

Kisame83

@StephenYap3 if you have an iOS device, 999 came out there. It's very puzzle light, more like a gamebook in that version. Many will say it kind of neuters the tension, but it's a good quick way to get up to speed in my opinion.

Re: Talking Point: The Great Star Fox Zero Controls Debate Highlights Important Lessons

Kisame83

@Action51 I agree, it is the best second screen experience overall. I have a PS4 and Vita, and even in the same room the connection isn't half as reliable as the Wii U. The trade off is longer range in general, but I find it to be a shallow advantage in face of the frequent lag and disconnects.

I can't speak for critics, but I honestly would be happy if they offer traditional control options alongside the "innovative" ones. It would remove the doubt and backlash. I HATED stylus flying in Star Fox Command, and nothing about that game would have been harmed by having more traditional controls. On the flip side, with Star Fox 63 3D I found myself experimenting a great deal with the gyroscope controls in part because I could always fall back on the traditional ones. Mario 64DS comes to mind. If they locked it into the stylus controls to force "innovation" it would have been horrid. The fact that you can seamlessly move between either control method tends to encourage both styles of play. I found myself switching based on the situation. My son is currently playing Ocarina 3D, and he rocks the gyro for aiming exclusively. I alternate back and forth, tending to make short range shots with the gyro and hitting further targets the "traditional" way. Flexibility never hurts!

@electrolite77 thank you. That is what I was more or less trying to get at. If we look at the relative short term, I can understand some feeling like the media jumps on certain things to kill them. It's just that, in the long run, for as much innovation has come from experimentation, a lot of it was just not very well thought out. The difference now is that companies seem to double down on certain concepts that haven't really taken off. Nintendo especially. I mean, could you imagine The Last of Us 2 requiring the Playstation Move? Gyro support is a fun thing, I just wish that, like SF64 3D, it was optional. Granted, I'm still going to grab this game near launch, and if the controls REALLY don't suit me I'll rock co-op with my son.

@Turbo857 The Wii had a huge boom from family markets. Heck, my grandmother got herself a DS and Wii for Brain Age and Wii Sports. It also slowed to a trickle, and didn't retain customer retention moving into the Wii U era. Just to be clear, the Wii AND Wii U where my first purchases of their respective generations. I'm certainly not bashing. I'm also an avid mobile gamer, and it has just been my experience that these schemes have largely shifted to traditional inputs or optional with the ability to switch. I remember when every other week a gyro game was hitting mobile markets. And that's including Star Fox or Ace Combat clones and FPS titles. Now, most of them are touch inputs with Bluetooth support for traditional controllers. They may still have tilt or gyro control options, but you toggle them in preferences. The "wave" seems to have passed on these being preferred and forced control methods. I'm talking in general, obviously there are exceptions. I'm also not trying to call any particular title out as being bad or good because of said controls. Mileage may vary lol.

The whole debate sort of reminds me of people who are ready to fight you if you don't like older survival horror tank controls. I remember really digging Resident Evil 2 on N64 because it let you customize the controls. If you want a more third-person setup like what you see in most games now, they had that. If you want to play with the Playstation tank control setup, that was default. But people where offended that they would even include the other options, because it somehow ruined the integrity of the experience to even have them buried in the menu.

Re: Mythical Pokémon Jirachi is Up for Grabs in Current-Gen Releases

Kisame83

@Calllack As BlackHeart said, they changed it so that EV training can impact max level Pokemon. And with reset bags, you can start from scratch. I assume this was after backlash from all the gen IV lvl 100 give aways. Especially since it became problematic if someone managed to get one of the items to encounter those pokemon in game (whether a Japanese player, went to an event, or used a game shark), giving them access to EV trained legendaries that other players didn't have.

Re: Talking Point: The Great Star Fox Zero Controls Debate Highlights Important Lessons

Kisame83

@electrolite77 I think they have two problems working against them.

1. Older gamers don't necessarily agree with that opening statement. It might just be an "old dog, new tricks" thing, or a certain "get off my lawn" mentality. My 7 year old son, for example, will play games on the phone that I won't touch without synching to a Bluetooth controller. Whereas, I began gaming in the early days of the NES, and really hit my stride in the SNES days. The N64 had its hits and revolutionized 3D gaming (meaning polygonal, not the perspective) with the stick and rumble, but during those eras we also still had Gameboys and the DS with traditional set ups. MOST of my best gaming experiences have not relied on a gimmick control set up. Heck, as time goes on and hardware dies, I appreciate control methods as they are easier to preserve and emulate.

2. THE GIMMICK. Nintendo can and has innovated, and their competitors often steal from ideas Nintendo pushed. That being said, in this case Nintendo is doubling down in ways that are NOT ahead of the curve. Motion controls and second screen experiences are no longer new and innovative. They haven't been embraced by the masses. They work for some, and I'm not trying to insult anyone. It's just that, by and large, these things didn't take off. Gyroscope aiming on Nintendo properties and mobile devices was this "cool" thing a few years back that few people actually liked. So, with this late release in the Wii U's lifespan, it is very odd that they would double down in this way. It's like they approached this as a hardware-proving launch title.

Re: Mythical Pokémon Jirachi is Up for Grabs in Current-Gen Releases

Kisame83

@craigmoss19 I completely agree! I performed the Mew glitch in Yellow and have been raising it with my team. It's real fun. Even legends you catch in game are at a level comparable to where you should be in the story. The lvl 100 give aways just sit in my collection. It is nice that they can be EV trained now, at least. So they are competitively viable, if you're playing in a format that allows legendaries. Or just randomly online where the kids are throwing in their mega mewtwos lol

Re: Sega of America Will Be Publishing Atlus Games in North America from Now On

Kisame83

@bitleman I don't know where you got that from. Their parent company got into a spot of trouble and ended up declaring bankruptcy. Unlike in the west, where that can be the death of a company and the assets get sold off to lord knows whoever to do nothing with, in Japan the legal process attempts to rehabilitate the company. In this case, a bunch of companies bid to acquire them, and Sega won. Index Digital Media and Atlus came along as part of the package. Sega's larger goal may have been the Atlus brand, but Atlus isn't what sank that ship in the first place.
