Does each player need their own joy-con to play? Can you use each joy-con, aim then pass then fire when all the players are set up? I'd love to get this, but I only have two joy-cons and a pro controller
@KiwiPanda I appreciate the honest, actually. My wife is the most casual of gamers so we love Wii Party U and Nintendo Land. I was hoping MP10 wasn't really terrible, just unoriginal
Already own many of the best off this list, but I never played a Pikmin title. Can't say no to this price. I'd get Mario Party 10 for $20. Maybe next time?
I see lots of people stating that because Red is popular there are more poor players, but it doesn't explain why the opposite could also take place - Red is popular and therefore more better players jump on board. This is why I think it is more about reactionary voters could make for reactionary players - the kind that get destroyed by a good player.
@MitchVogel I thought about this and the best I could come up with is (and is probably wrong): it seems one team will immediately become more popular as soon as Splatfest is announced. Some people just react to what they like more. Does this style of voting get translated into the way people play the game on a macro level? Eg, a person impulsively votes for Red and is more likely to rush headlong into a 2 on 1 fight or not consider chokepoints, etc costing their team matches. Obviously not all Red voters are these kinds of players, but on a macro level? Idk... that's my .02
I'm with others that this is the weakest entry of the series. The rubberband AI nearly ruined it. That said, it's still a good game and I played this game to death when it came out.
The reluctance to cut prices is the surest indicator the NX will be revealed and pushed to market very soon. Consumers who buy a new console want it to be supported for some time. You can imagine the unhappy feelings of a parent or gamer who scoops up a cheaper Wii U only to hear that the system will be discontinued and Nintendo now wants you to buy a whole new system next Christmas.
There have been racers that I have bested me in several racers and they played so well that I actively searched for them on MK8. That feeling of a person that is just a little bit better than you at the game really drives you race even better.
Always loved the black box art. It was an interesting move on Nintendo's part to show the pixelated graphics instead of the over-the-top (and also great) painted art on Atari carts.
Guy gets bonus points for using the Powerpad as his backdrop
When I played Gunstar Heroes for the first time, I wondered how was it possible that everybody didn't try to make games as amazing as this. Dynamite Heddy next!
Totally surprised by the above comments. The 3DS has never struck me as underpowered. If the NX is going to be partially handheld, then I understand replacing it. Otherwise, I feel as if the system still has 3 years in it.
I love my Wii U, but I got to say I think this commercial drubbing is forcing Nintendo to reconsider some of its less productive approaches as a game maker. DLC has been a thing for a while now and now Nintendo is on board and doing a great job of it. Rumors abound it is going to restructure its digital purchases to make them tied to an account rather than a system and hopefully the NX is a system attractive for 3rd party developers.
I agree with Yokoi in that games don't need photorealistic graphics to be fun. In fact, graphics are nice, but hardly essential. One thing I love with retro gaming is how much could be done with less.
Why not just release it if it's so close to completion? Musicians regularly release free songs and demos to fans with the understanding that they are not getting perfect sound, imperfect tracks, etc. Sometimes this work turns out to be really great like Machina II from the Smashing Pumpkins that was actually far superior to the product the band asked you to pay for...
Give free pineapples to all the super cute haters. There is a very good reason why this company has such a dedicated fanbase and that's because gameplay matters. Of which, Nintendo is a masterful creator.

I had Pokemon Blue in my original Gameboy so of course I had to represent it in Splatfest. I was a wrecking ball yesterday. +22 rating

Re: Review: Stinger (Wii U eShop / NES)
I wasn't a fan of space shooters growing up, but I liked playing Stinger. It's definitely a challenge. I was an adult before I managed to beat it.

Re: Video: Kids React to Pokémon Snap In Rather Interesting Ways
Why why why has Nintendo refused to make Pokemon Snap 2 for Wii U? The gamepad is perfect for this game
Re: Video: Players React to Splatoon and Star Fox Zero at Hyper Japan in London
@Not_Soos Would hope it's an option. I really enjoy using it.
