Re: Random: "I'm Able To Trust Sony More Than Nintendo" - Japan Reacts To The Closure Of The Wii U And 3DS eShops

Jumping_Dead

@Fighting_Game_Loser Yes. This post is full of "Get used to it, digital things are like this", and "You can still download what you purchased, so its ok".

@glaemay Levingbehind the need of insulting... no, its not happening. Twitter and internet are happy with those "3ds memories", a people everywhere are taking it as normal. Read all the comments.

Such a shame.

Re: Random: Logan Paul Paid $3.5 Million For Fake Pokémon Trading Cards

Jumping_Dead

Quite frankly, Logan Paul will be ok. The thing is... this is the kind of market people like him have created. The moment this kind of thing skyrockets as an investment and a way of making money... well it's all high risk there, and a lot of bad intentions.

Not sorry for Logan Paul or the authentication company (they were wrong). I only hope "normal" people learn the risks of this kind of expensive hobby, and the overall market lowers to more affordable numbers.

Re: "Next-Gen" Anti-Grav Racer Redout 2 Speeds Onto Nintendo Switch In 2022

Jumping_Dead

The original Redout is a great game... the switch port was pretty bad. I played it on the ps4 and its a very nice antigravity racer, with solid handling and track design. Like f-zero or wipeout, it has its own learning curve and its own handling, those expecting it to mimick one of those, are going to be disappointed, it has its own feeling.

Re: Mini Review: Dr. Mario 64 - Diagnosis: A Bit Rubbish

Jumping_Dead

Wait, what? This reads like dr mario itself is a bad puzzle game. I don't know how bad the n64 port is (i remember it being ok though, but maybe my memory is not what it used to) but... really? I've played many version and i love it, very different from other puzzlers in its rhythm and strategies.

And of course there's competitive dr mario, its a very precise game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7FnA7K4U9w

Re: NEO: The World Ends With You Has 'Underperformed Expectations', Square Enix Says

Jumping_Dead

Not surprised. Three points:

-Plenty of people played TWEWY's ports on ios and switch, and they are pretty poor, they screwed the combat a lot.
-As far as i know, the anime failed to gain a decent audience.
-This new game comes too late, and its inferior to the original game in almost every way: botton-mashing combat, new characters that fail tobe engaging, and its unable to make its own thing in the end (some of its best parts, are poor rethreads of the original).

I finished it, but i would be lying if i said that i really liked it. Its ok... i guess...

Re: The "Last Free Update" For Mario Golf: Super Rush Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Jumping_Dead

What a disasappointment this Mario Golf was for me. As a golf game is pretty pretty bad, the lack of content was only a part of its problems. The core golfing mechanic is broken, its even more aggravating considering how good the GC and 3DS versions were (even if the 3ds dlcs pack was expensive, it added a ton of good content). Hitting a ball out of the sand and into the green with the driver LOL

Re: Random: This Shin Megami Tensei V Unboxing Video Is As Wholesome As They Come

Jumping_Dead

Again? Last time "the media" put the focus on her, it was awful. Some people think that she disabled comments due to reciving too much attention... but the thing is that she puts a lot of effort in her videos and really enjoys the games, only to people flood her comments pointing at "how old" she is, people doubting she really plays games, and even insults. That's what happens with all that media attention.

Re: Metroid Dread Studio Hit With Allegations Of Poor Organisation And Management

Jumping_Dead

1) Those things were already commented back in the day, when Lords of Shadows 2 was released. This studio has well known problems.
2) Toxic and bad enviroment... "deal with it" you people are disgusting.
3) It's not a small studio. Over 160 employees according to wikipedia.
4) Some people are critizising the employees for speaking about this issues. Do you sleep well at night licking companies asses?

Re: Feature: 30 Years Of Sonic The Hedgehog - The Many Faces Of Mario's Biggest Rival

Jumping_Dead

@ShadowofTwilight22 " you don't get to" <- Yes, i get to... its my comment. Not my problem that your best sonic games are anniversary nostalgia games or an awful game like sonic heroes. Not my problem if you are one of the people i mentioned and you cant see how bad Sonic team is as a developer.

When you know people are talking about the 3d games... and still, you bring up Dimps developed games for portables in 2d, you know you are in a bad position. For each semi-decent game game sonic has, theres 3 or 4 awful ones.

Re: Feature: 30 Years Of Sonic The Hedgehog - The Many Faces Of Mario's Biggest Rival

Jumping_Dead

Oh wow... all the sonic-fanboys are going to trash you for this. Even after all this time, they still cant understand how bad the games after adventure 2 were. I don't know if they have convinced themselves otherwise, but they are destined to feel like victims each time a new bad game is released. It's almost a meme "3d sonics can be good too" or "everybody trash sonic and is against him, but its good". It's like they got stuck 20 years ago.

Re: Soapbox: The Term 'Indie' Is Losing Meaning, But Maybe That's A Positive Sign

Jumping_Dead

This is full of bad takes. It's not a question of gatekeeping, at all.

First) Indie games have existed since the very beginning of the industry, even if it was mostly on micro-computers and pcs.

Second) Plenty of indie games being developed deserve the term. Why focus on a few of them that are only indie to some degree and not fully. They don't define the term, its silly. Next time a sole developer, after 5 years of development, releases a game on steam... are we going to tell him that "indie" means nothig?

Third) Big companies are the ones that are using the term to gain attention, losing its meaning in the process. Tetris and metal slug indies? come on! I'm not going to fall for it. Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft... they should NOT define what an indie game is, even if they are trying to.
