Why are people mad about this type of article? 3ds and WiiU shops closing is bad.
Games are not something you buy when they come out and thats it. People are constantly re-discovering old catalogues and games that they missed back in the day. It's a good thing.
Smells like fake. Like somebody is trying to gain publicity for the things they have. There's quite a few games from 95 and 96... totally out of place if the shop closed on 94.
@Fighting_Game_Loser Yes. This post is full of "Get used to it, digital things are like this", and "You can still download what you purchased, so its ok".
@glaemay Levingbehind the need of insulting... no, its not happening. Twitter and internet are happy with those "3ds memories", a people everywhere are taking it as normal. Read all the comments.
This should be as big as sony with ps3... but its not going to happen, for some reason, nintendo's user base just accepts this kind of thing in general.
It's pretty sad all of this. First, they dont need the money. Second, those stupid goals. And they gave a Demo to influencers and websites, and not the backers. Quite frankly, i dont know why people support this.
Quite frankly, Logan Paul will be ok. The thing is... this is the kind of market people like him have created. The moment this kind of thing skyrockets as an investment and a way of making money... well it's all high risk there, and a lot of bad intentions.
Not sorry for Logan Paul or the authentication company (they were wrong). I only hope "normal" people learn the risks of this kind of expensive hobby, and the overall market lowers to more affordable numbers.
Bold article. But to be honest, even if a game is mediocre, doesn't mean it can't "click" with you and enjoy it a lot. Balan became a joke due to the demo they released, and it's not a great game... but there's way way worse games going around.
@Pillowpants Long? Record of lodoss war is a franchise. It's like saying that all Zelda tittles are long due to "The legend of Zelda:" at the beginning of each game.
The original Redout is a great game... the switch port was pretty bad. I played it on the ps4 and its a very nice antigravity racer, with solid handling and track design. Like f-zero or wipeout, it has its own learning curve and its own handling, those expecting it to mimick one of those, are going to be disappointed, it has its own feeling.
@Zuljaras " all of this should be put aside and just hire the best PERSON for the job position" <- Well... its interesting isn't it? Apparently the "best person for the job" means only 4% of woman in Nintendo Co., Ltd in Japan, considering women are 50% of the population... maybe, MAYBE... its not working as you think.
" Sony could learn alot from Nintendo," <- No to be rude or anything but... the Everybody's Golf (2017) for PS4 is way WAY better than this Mario Golf. Which is a bit ironic, Camelot Software did the first entry for the ps1.
" a very good option for enthusiasts of the series" <- How can you say that if most of the enthusiast of the series think its one of the worst entries? It's not even a question about the amount of content. The core gameplay is very very poor.
Wait, what? This reads like dr mario itself is a bad puzzle game. I don't know how bad the n64 port is (i remember it being ok though, but maybe my memory is not what it used to) but... really? I've played many version and i love it, very different from other puzzlers in its rhythm and strategies.
-Plenty of people played TWEWY's ports on ios and switch, and they are pretty poor, they screwed the combat a lot. -As far as i know, the anime failed to gain a decent audience. -This new game comes too late, and its inferior to the original game in almost every way: botton-mashing combat, new characters that fail tobe engaging, and its unable to make its own thing in the end (some of its best parts, are poor rethreads of the original).
I finished it, but i would be lying if i said that i really liked it. Its ok... i guess...
What a disasappointment this Mario Golf was for me. As a golf game is pretty pretty bad, the lack of content was only a part of its problems. The core golfing mechanic is broken, its even more aggravating considering how good the GC and 3DS versions were (even if the 3ds dlcs pack was expensive, it added a ton of good content). Hitting a ball out of the sand and into the green with the driver LOL
Emulation itself is legal... if you own the game (this is a nintendo site, my guess is you have it) i wouldn't doubt too much about it. It's a free mod, i don't know who are you stealing from, if you already bought the game.
Again? Last time "the media" put the focus on her, it was awful. Some people think that she disabled comments due to reciving too much attention... but the thing is that she puts a lot of effort in her videos and really enjoys the games, only to people flood her comments pointing at "how old" she is, people doubting she really plays games, and even insults. That's what happens with all that media attention.
"but no individual track stands out as being particularly memorable" <- Forest Greens, Subterra, Gears of Blob, Emperor's Battle... and the arrange of the original theme, are all fantastic themes.
@Clyde_Radcliffe Let's hope nintendo keeps increasing the price, and next time you can say "it's just the price of mcdonald's menu a month"... or even better "Its just the price of a nice bottle of wine a month"!
"They're playable" is the worst kind of thing one can say. Even a terrible emulator can get n64 games "playable"... its 2021, and this is a paid premium service, there's no excuse here, the games should be close to perfect.
I know those are not the "big" ones, but they are pretty good and quite fun. You can play them with friends, but it allows you to play alone and its still good. Most of the games revolve around puzzle solving and team tasks.
The most boring game in the series, with terrible writing and characterization, an abysmal map design, and one of the worst supporting characters ever. Graphics were nice... and thats it.
1) Those things were already commented back in the day, when Lords of Shadows 2 was released. This studio has well known problems. 2) Toxic and bad enviroment... "deal with it" you people are disgusting. 3) It's not a small studio. Over 160 employees according to wikipedia. 4) Some people are critizising the employees for speaking about this issues. Do you sleep well at night licking companies asses?
I read that spanish article the somebody posted up there... and man, thats awful.
It goes beyond "i'm not credited" into really a company that treats their employees as expendables, doesn't care for them, with poor management and even trying to ostracize people's careers.
"All games will run at 60Hz, with some also being available in their original 50Hz PAL states. Perfect."
Perfect? How is that perfect? If you want to play in your language you have to play at 50hz, again. They are charging money for this, and the cant even do it properly?
I mean... those emulators are pretty advanced already, games usually work fine when they come out. They need improvements later down the road, but they tend to work quite nicely.
Ugly as hell... but even worse, they screwed up the sim parts, boring story scene were added, and new tower defense sections, the pacing of this remake is absolutely atrocious.
@ShadowofTwilight22 " you don't get to" <- Yes, i get to... its my comment. Not my problem that your best sonic games are anniversary nostalgia games or an awful game like sonic heroes. Not my problem if you are one of the people i mentioned and you cant see how bad Sonic team is as a developer.
When you know people are talking about the 3d games... and still, you bring up Dimps developed games for portables in 2d, you know you are in a bad position. For each semi-decent game game sonic has, theres 3 or 4 awful ones.
@ShadowofTwilight22 Rush and Manía are NOT 3d. Generations is a "best of" and it barely qualifies as a new game. And that leaves you with... Unleashed and colours? wow 2 games in the last... 13 years? wow, what a great track record! And what was released since?
Oh wow... all the sonic-fanboys are going to trash you for this. Even after all this time, they still cant understand how bad the games after adventure 2 were. I don't know if they have convinced themselves otherwise, but they are destined to feel like victims each time a new bad game is released. It's almost a meme "3d sonics can be good too" or "everybody trash sonic and is against him, but its good". It's like they got stuck 20 years ago.
This is full of bad takes. It's not a question of gatekeeping, at all.
First) Indie games have existed since the very beginning of the industry, even if it was mostly on micro-computers and pcs.
Second) Plenty of indie games being developed deserve the term. Why focus on a few of them that are only indie to some degree and not fully. They don't define the term, its silly. Next time a sole developer, after 5 years of development, releases a game on steam... are we going to tell him that "indie" means nothig?
Third) Big companies are the ones that are using the term to gain attention, losing its meaning in the process. Tetris and metal slug indies? come on! I'm not going to fall for it. Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft... they should NOT define what an indie game is, even if they are trying to.
Back in the day you gave Skyward Sword a 10/10, and now a 9/10 even if its better according to the text. It's one of my least favourite Zelda games, not an 9 or 10 imho, it has serious design problems.
