@fishwilson A Monopoly is never a good thing (and that includes the boardgame.) Aside from no competition creating a lack of innovation, it also allows a company to charge whatever they want for their product because there are no other options to choose from. Not only that, but monopolies are illegal, at least in the US which is one of the largest console markets. Playstation and Xbox merging wouldn't actually be a monopoly though as long as there are other consoles from Nintendo.
I've been meaning to download Aeroporter at some point, being a big fan of two of Yoot Saito's previous games, Simtower and Yoot Tower, the latter of which unfortunately got the expansion packs that were released in Japan.
"With the Wii U GamePad you would think the system would be perfect for Minecraft; it's now certainly more likely than it was a few days ago."
Actually, no. It is not any more likely than a few days ago if the prospect of a Wii U version wasn't something Jens was involved with in the first place. The likelihood is exactly the same.
What they should have done to give the gamepad full advantage over tablets: multitouch.
What they should have done to make it the "one place you go to access all of your entertainment: among other thing: Blu-ray playback among other things. I don't personally feel that the Wii U should neccisarily be a Blu-ray player, but to say it's the one place you'll go for all of your entertainment, there really would need to be a way to watch movies you own aside from just Amazon Prime (or navigating to a video on your computer via the browser.)
I despise Team Meat. They are the most immature developers on the planet and seem to think that dropping an F-bomb every other sentance makes them cool.
@DestinyMan I believe the "lighter fare" quote is being taken out of context. Miyamoto was using a food analogy where Luigi is the salad that people are really into, salad being lighter fare, not Luigi himself.
@Zemus-DJ There are tons of games on iOS that are designed with the hardware in mind and control woderfully with the best not using virtual joysticks or buttons.
@47drift There are also tons of games ported from other hardware that have controls adapted for touch screens. Virtual buttons only litter the screen in the worst of ports.
"So far Liberation Maiden has been spotted on the New Zealand store, but it's starting to make its way around the regions; a simple search also shows that it's now on Italy's iTunes" That is how every release on the AppStore works. New apps come out at midnight in each region starting with New Zealand.
@DarkKirby I agree 100% about Sticker Star, but I recall reading an interview where Miyamoto said he wasn't sure why people thought he hated DKC as he had actually closely collaborated with Rare on it, or something along those lines.
And he suggested turning Dinosaur Planet into Star Fox, so your argument about him wanting his characters used only as originally intended doesn't really hold water. And he was the one who stopped Square from giving Mario a sword in SMRPG and suggested a hammer instead, so clearly he hasn't had a negative influence on all Mario RPG games.
@Deathgaze Chrono is just a prefix that means time. It would be a bit weird if a game had the word chrono in it and didn't involve time related mechanics in one way or another.
@shinokami Making a living off of crime is not okay. @rayword45 What's wrong with iTunes? @AlexSora89 Families that can't afford games just shouldn't pirate games. Playing video games is not a necessity of life, it's a luxury.
I don't think Square Enix ever said anything that suggested All the Bravest was Bravely Default. Wasn't that just speculation about some domain names they registered?
There is such a thing as having lower prices to increase sales. If enough extra people buy the game if it's at a lower price then EA would earn more than if they raised prices.
"It's not the first open-world LEGO title..." No, it most definitely is not. The first LEGO video game, LEGO Island, for PC was open world, and that was in 1997, which I believe was before the 3D GTAs. LEGO got there first.
@triforcepower73 @Five-seveN @3Dash All in all, a one isn't too uncommon. Especially since Phillip gets all the shovelware games most sites don't even bother to review.

Re: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream Heading to Wii U eShop
That looks pretty great.
Re: Four Classics Available Now in the Latest Club Nintendo Rewards
@ErnisDy They aren't very good deals. 150 coins is equivalent to approximately $150 worth of purchases.
Re: Video: Get Spooked by Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon's "ScareScraper" Multiplayer
@Geonjaha Yep.
Re: Terra Incognita Hits Wii U Kickstarter Target
So long as there are no random encounters, though by definition there probably will be.

Re: The Adventures Of Dash Could Be Hitting The Wii U eShop
Since the word adventures is in quotes, I guess there isn't really much of an adventure at all.
Re: Team Meat: We'd Work With Nintendo If Meat Boy Made It Into Smash Bros.
I despise Team Meat. They are the most immature developers on the planet and seem to think that dropping an F-bomb every other sentance makes them cool.
Re: Harvest Moon Gets The Hollywood Reboot Treatment
@Barbiegurl777 You know this is fake right?
Re: Namco Bandai Announces Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life For 3DS In Japan
@Emaan But animation is a way bigger deal over there.

@DestinyMan I believe the "lighter fare" quote is being taken out of context. Miyamoto was using a food analogy where Luigi is the salad that people are really into, salad being lighter fare, not Luigi himself.
Re: Miyamoto Discusses Retirement In Recent Interview
Ultimately Nintendo should do fine without Miyamoto's involvement. Steve Jobs is gone but Apple is still doing well.
Re: Tails Adventure And Crystal Warriors Get Rated For Western Release
Both sources for the article are listed twice.

Re: Ace Attorney Collection for 3DS Has Been Proposed "Many Times" at Capcom
It really shouldn't be difficult. They already brought the first trilogy to iOS in HD.
Re: Doesn't Look Like Minecraft Will Be Coming To Wii U Anytime Soon
@bulby1994 Heck, my 2007 model iMac runs Minecraft perfectly.
Also, it's not like Mojang has millions of dollars in the bank to take some risks with, right?
Re: Miyamoto: Harnessing NFC On Wii U Is Our Priority Right Now
NFC stands for Near Fields Communication, not Neat Figurine Collectables. There are many other applications for the technology.
Re: Ubisoft: Michel Ancel Not Currently Working on Beyond Good & Evil 2
I'm not really interested.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Revised Approach to E3
@rjejr I believe the article was referring to the style of the presentations as something unique to Nintendo.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Revised Approach to E3
Hopefully Miyamoto's new project will be better than Steel Diver. It was fun and all, but… yeah.
Re: Wii U System Update Adds "Stability Improvements"
@WingedFish Or anywhere else in the northern hemisphere for that matter.
My Wii U usually only crashes when I play Scribblenauts with more than one player. The more players the more likely it is to crash.
Re: Circle Entertainment Backing the eShop In A Big Way This Year
Puzzle Craft is a pretty good iOS game.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th March 2013 (Europe)
@ThomasBW84 Surprises like there not actually being a demo for SaSASR for America last week.
Re: "Modified" Version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Classified by Australian Ratings Board

Typo. You typed edition twice.
@HuntheUniverse Game companies seem to generally not really care what we want or ask for.

Re: EA Plans For a Future With Micro-Transactions in All Games
Sim City sounded good when announced, but its prospects just seem to be lowering. I miss the days when EA didn't own Maxis.
Re: 3DS Stays on Top in Japan, but Wii U Falls Behind Vita
@rjejr " I personally can't see listing something as "upcoming" if it doesn't even have a date yet."
Unless the game gets cancelled I don't see what else you'd call it. If it isn't already out then by definition the only other option is "upcoming."
Also, "Super Wonderful Edition." LOL
Re: Ubisoft: Rayman Legends Delay Will Result In A Better Game For Wii U
What they should do is give the Wii U developers a huge bonus and reimburse them for their overtime with six months of paid leave.

Re: Video: Professor Layton's Final Adventure Looks Suitably Epic
@MultiMariosonic Nintendo neither makes or owns the rights to Layton, they just publish it in some territories for Level-5.
Re: Rumour: Rayman Creator To Part Company With Ubisoft
In regards to the people wondering, I'm pretty sure Ancel doesn't own the rights to Rayman or BGaE any more than Miyamoto owns the rights to Mario.
Re: More Ace Attorney 5 Information Is On The Way
@sir_Anthony The franchise did start about a full decade ago.
Re: Cars Confirmed As Another Disney Infinity Play Set
@NocturnalYoshi Well Dinosaur was a poorly received technological proof of concept film, so I really doubt it.
Re: Video: Chase McCain Introduced in New LEGO City: Undercover Webisode
You know what would be a way better pre-order bonus than a Chase McCain minifig? A LEGO Iwata minifig.
Re: Video: Chase McCain Introduced in New LEGO City: Undercover Webisode
@Five-seveN Sigh That joke is getting really old, and Nintendo's publishing it so it's not gonna happen.
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st February 2013 (North America)
@zenarium No, we do not have it. It was a lie.
Re: Rumour: Scribblenauts Unlimited UK Recall Due To Lack Of UK English
@Bass_X0 …Why? 5th Cell is based in the US.
