@gojiguy @DePapier Amazon is somewhat known for the speculative nature of many of their upcoming product pages. For example, they've had The Star Wars Holiday Special DVD listed for years, despite the fact that that product was never planned to exist.

@dragon_rider In the literal sense Macs fall into that category, but modern usage of the word generally applies to a computer running Windows.

Although Macs can do that just fine as well.

Aside from a boycott of the game hurting the developers, it's also a really good way of telling Ubisoft that their games don't sell on Wii U and that they shouldn't bother releasing games for it at all. It's a lose-lose scenario.

@Mk_II The AppStore obviously isn't only good for Apple or there wouldn't be so many people making apps for it and making a living off of them. And I'm pretty sure 30% is fairly standard.

@nomeacuerdo Although based on reviews it's one of the worst examples of F2P/Freemium there is. It's only profitable because of the license.

And Zen Pinball 2 is NOT F2P. It's more like the shareware business model from the 90s if you aren't willing to call it what it is; a demo.

Even though I meet the age requirement I don't play these kinds of games because I don't think they're appropriate for ANYONE to play.

@Znerd You want them to reveal all of the X and Y Pokémon before those games are even out? Wouldn't that spoil a lot of the excitement for X and Y?

@SCAR392 Netflix only got a deal with Dismey going again a couple months ago. (Disney movies were on there a long time ago, but Disney ended their contract. Disney Channel movies and TV Shows were unaffected.) There are only a small amount of Disney movies back right now and new movies won't be on the service until 2016.

New gameplay footage is almost definitely going to be in the magazine.

What Ubi should do If the Microsoft first rule is true is to stop releasing games on Microsoft platforms until they change the rule. In the meantime they should break what I presume is a non-disclosure agreement with Microsoft that says they can't tell anyone about it. What's Microsoft gonna do? Ban one of the largest publishers from making games for the Xbox?

@John-San3 Well Nintendo didn't make this game, so I don't really see the connection.

Regardless of how you think it looks now, designers at LEGO design the final product to fit certain criteria.

@shonenjump86 Well Sony supposedly has Sudo 51 working on LittleBigPlanet 3 right now, so it could be a while.

Cuusoo is designed for individual sets though, not whole product lines. In a similar previous situation they had the creator of the Modular Western Town project choose just one of the models in the project to go forward with--although it ultimately failed at review due to business conflicts, what with LEGO releasing a Lone Rangers theme this year and western sets having limited overall appeal.

@smashbrawler331 Technically they never teased a Bravely Default localization. People were just making speculations based on domain names Square Enix had registered. They never officially said anything.

I think that increasing game costs to $60 was a really stupid move.

@Kirk I doubt that's what he was talking about. I don't think that kind of thing makes much of a difference from a game publisher's perspective.

I've had my eye on this game for a year or so, I'm super excited that it's coming to Wii U. There's some in-development gameplay footage around somewhere.

Most unexpected thing in the book is sci-fi Zelda, hands down.

@Raylax The only way Junction Point would have gone under due to bankruptcy is if Disney itself went through bankruptcy.

@Vehemont The launch day update was not five gigabytes. It was around one or two. With the amount of space the OS takes up there wouldn't have even been enough space to download a five gigabyte update to the Wii U Basic's memory. I don't know where that number came from, but it is false.

@Everyone else: The Wii U doesn't have a hard drive. It has flash memory.

Despite living in Utah and owning a Sundance Security T-Shirt, (you can find the strangest things at thrift stores) I've never actually been to Sundance.

@DrKarl Avalanche made the excellent Toy Story 3 video game with Toy Box mode being the major highlight, and this game is basically an expansion of Toy Box mode.

This reminds me of the lists that the America Film Institute make (I'm not sure they even do anything besides making lists.) On their list of best animated films of all time Snow White and the Seven Dwarves placed first followed by Pinochio and then Fantasia. Those are the first three animated feature films ever made. Are they seriously saying that in the almost 100 years since the first animated film there has never been one better then the first three?

And GLaDOS should have placed first.

Apple products are way more reliable and durable than Microsoft's. By the way, if you.ever buy any Apple products, pay the extra money for Apple Care.

When my family's Wii started to have issues reading discs they had us send it in and we got it back fixed in less than a week if I remember correctly.

By the way, you're not supposed to scratch gift cards/prepaid cards with your fingernail. Your supposed to gently rub with a coin.

I'm thrilled to know that Nintendo will (probably) do great at E3 this year as there is likely going to be a lot of hype and attention given to Microsoft and Sony's new consoles which could overshadow Nintendo. When they present a playable new 3D Mario, a new Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. info there's no way they'll be ignored.

There was one major disappointment in the Nintendo Direct though: nobody held any fruit.

Why are so many people unsure about the games line up? Did nobody else watch the Nintendo Direct?

@rjejr I'd rather they kept the grit out of the Zelda games. I much prefer the stylized graphics.

I haven't played Xenoblade, but that Trailer looked like what I've seen of Monster Hunter.

I like Fire Emblem, but I've never really had a great desire to play a Shin Megami Tensei game.

@rjejr OOT is not the best looking Zelda game. Pretty much every Zelda game after OOT has better graphics, even Windwaker. Preferring OOT's graphical style does not make it better than the other ones. I just hope Nintendo stays out of uncanny valley. Too many games are at that point right now.

OK, you did a lot better than me at explaining, but in my defense I did say that I wasn't going into the finer points. By which I meant I didn't feel like writing something really long.

His obsession with guns may not even be directly related to the shooting. People with Asperger's also tend to be very passionate/obsessed with certain subjects and seek to know everything they can know about them. That definitely would give one an advantage should they decide to shoot someone though.

I'm more worried about the traction groups like Autism Speaks (ironically they don't let anyone with autism into the organization) will get. They want to find a cure for autism. It just so happens that me and most other people with autism don't WANT to be cured–and the cures they are searching for are going to lead to eugenics and abortion of babies with autism. Frankly I'm a lot more concerned about people like me being wiped off the Earth than the relatively extremely trivial issue of entertainment regulation.

So his having Asperger's may have contributed, but because he was never taught social rules that are extremely difficult for people on the autism spectrum to pick up on their own.

I hate that the killer's mental "illness" is constantly being blamed. I have Asperger's Syndrome as well and I'm far from being a sociopath. I don't even play video games rated higher than T, and even with those I use discretion. The main thing about Asberger's is that it causes social awkwardness (without going into the finer points) and some of the most intelligent people who are productive members of society had Asperger's or the closely related High Functioning Autism, eg. Albert Einstein. Asperger's is not a disease.

The animation isn't impressing me. As far as I can tell all of the animations are taken right out of the original games.

While I dislike Sony's design and business philosophies and seeing the Vita vs 3DS predictions of pundits be horribly wrong is extremely satisfying to me, I would like the Vita to say around. Competition forces companies not to remain stagnant. How much longer would Nintendo have stuck with cartridge based consoles if there were no competing disc based consoles? There would have been little reason for them to move forward. Thus is the basis of capitalism and why it works.

This was the first game my family got for our N64. It was also our only N64 game for a long time.

@SCAR392 LEGO generally doesn't generally make one time use parts. Indiana Jones whips have been used as building decorations, Battle Droid arms have been used for innumerable purposes, the turban that debuted in the first wave of Harry Potter sets went on to feature prominently in other themes such as Orient Expedition, and lightsaber hilts have had transparent yellow 1x1 round plates added to them to make flashlights in police sets, among many other examples I could list.

DIY type LEGO games used to be the norm in the 90s and early 2000s. That pretty much only started to change when Traveller's Tales took over the reins of the LEGO videogames. For example there were LEGO Racers and LEGO Racers 2, both of which featured the ability to build custom cars from scratch.
