Another huge flaw in this port is you the equip ring command automatically removes whatever ring you are currently wearing, so you will never be able wear 2 rings at the same time.

Hello! I encountered this when I played today using my Switch 2. I am not sure how was able to interact with it. But good to know it worked for you.

Question, do you experience game crashes in this port? For the Switch 2 at least ( I cant check with switch 1, mine was stolen 3 months ago), I have already experienced 3 crashes on a promising run in Iron man mode. Huge bummer! I was wondering if there are any workarounds for this.

Picked this one up. Such an oddball game but its fun! It has melee combat, has shooting. Most unique feature is the Pyschogun! Its a snake-like weapon that you control to kill enemies with, kinda like playing Snake but 8 directional movement! Its useful to mow down enemies anywhere in the screen while hiding behind terrain. Hidden gem!

I regret not getting this when it first came out. Got it during the final week of the eshop. Really fun and addicting! This is an 8/10 imo.

I owned the 3DS XL silver (or metallic grey?) that came with Mario and Luigi Dream Team pre-installed.

Then sold it when I got a the New 3DS XL grey. I wanted the New 3DS for the built-in nub and faster processor to play MH4 Ultimate.

For me, I still prefer the 3DS line as a portable gaming device versus the Switch tbh. It has so much more unique gameplay experiences, the dual screen and the clam shell design make it a perfect device to put in pocket.

The 3D effect is really enjoyable for me. I play MH4U and most games with the 3D turned on.

Miiverse and Streetpass were also the best! The closure of Miiverse was more sad than the eshop closing imo.

just picked up Weapon shop de Omasse, Attack of the Friday Monsters, and Sakura Samurai.

As for absolute must haves, my picks are Pocket Card Jockey and Gotta Protectors (both already on the list)

Pokemon Myster Dungeon always felt like a watered down Mystery Dungeon game. Shiren the Wanderer is THE mystery dungeon game to play. 1 and 5 specifically imo.

This still worth getting now that Atari 50 is out? The online leaderboards alone might be worth getting it.

I am content to do 1cc no matter how long it takes me to do it haha

@Tom-Massey Hi!yup I can totally see that. It even takes years for many people to 1cc shmups. It took me past 100 hours to 1-ALL Hishouzame! Haha! there are truly gifted super players who can 1cc any shmup in 4 days or less( shoutout to my buddy Giodyne), the average player really takes around 20 to 50 hours or more depending on which shmup.

In my case, 25 hours for me for Darius Gaiden. 40 hours for GG Aleste 3 ( people say it was easy but it was hard for me lol). Probably 15 hours approx or so for Batrider Normal course solo stawman. 35 hours for G Darius. 15 hours for DBAC BEI route.

For RSG i think it will take me hundreds of hours since I am not good in memo and Im just average in skill level overall imo. Started taking shmups seriously in 2020.

Battle Garrega and ketsui,had it since 2020 on ps4 and I dont know when i can ever 1cc them at my current level. Crimzon Clover im stuck at stage 3 boss.

So yeah I agree 50 hours of playtime for RSG and to 1cc it is a great feat for the poster above who did it. Mad respect and kudos to him.

Its just funny some people here act like shmup gods when clearly they just ninjas who approve LOL.

Got the physical asian version just today. Never really played Snow Bros before. I think its fun and very kawaii. Fun hitting those chain kills. And controls great especially when speed up. I wonder though, is external autofire/rapid fire frowned upon among snow bro veterans? I noticed there is no autofire in the game.

The Version 2 update is great. Article should update it. G Darius Ver. 2, plus Console version, plus more gadgets ( enemy capture HP and boss HP) , practice mode like cozmic collection PLUS Autosave feature in various key points of stage boss fights or branching path points , start of level etc.

But what will keep me from ditching the Switch that are non 1st party: Sega Ages Herzog Zwei, Aleste Collection, Rolling Gunner, Darius Cozmic Arcade collection, future M2 ShotTrigger games , Arcade Archives, etc. And the occasional 2 player tabletop mode.

But yeah honestly Nintendo needs to work on their exclusives more. Developers have been porting to steam more and more so thats definitely a plus for the Steam deck. For example Capcom allowed Monster Hunter to come to steam, Capcom Arcade Stadium was intially switch but its coming to steam too (or its already on steam). etc. etc. Main system seller for me to get a switch in the past was just really Monster Hunter and Smash Bros. The rest of my Switch games library have a steam port already. So yeah more 1st party or exclusives needed.

@Trajan I agree. Steam deck will definitely eat into the 3rd party sales of switch that have steam ports.

If anything, Steam Deck will have cheaper games for sure versus the eshop. Also, Steam deck has a huge library of games existing already. And the DPAD looks better to use. Joycon still has the worst dpad.

The only first party game I play is Smash bros and formerly nintendo/console exclusives were Monster Hunter. MH World portable anyone?

@Iktaro Its the latest version of Arcade mode with new which HAS Chronicle Mode (3000 stages).

CS MODE (Chronicle Saviours) is not the same as Chronicle mode. CS Mode is just hundreds of stages (the one for just single screen mode).

This DBAC EX+ also has Replay feature and also has the Murakumo ship.

Its the latest version of the Arcade Cabinet and more due to the new events. So no its not sad for those who prefer the main arcade game , which AGAIN HAS CHRONICLE MODE.

Dariusburst AC EX+ from Cozmic Revelation and also some MushihimeSama for me.

One of the best things about Wii U was Miiverse.

@ACK soeey for necroing the thread. But I totally agree about Tank Force being a perfect include for the Switch. Played 2 player Tank Force using table top mode with the GF using the 2 joycons while we were having some drinks at a cafe bar one rainy sunday afternoon. Good times

Got Cozmic Revelation. Was able to get the 1cc for arcade mode ADH route and ADI route using handheld mode. Very happy with my purchase even if I have Chronicle saviors on steam already. Working on gitting gud in G Darius too.

Ninja Jajamaru kun is suprisingly fun when I first played it in the ninja jajamaru collection.
