Phew! It's been a heck of a week, hasn't it? It actually feels like springtime now at least, but our eyes are poised towards the summer with the slate of new release dates we've been handed. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been brought forward from September to July! Unprecedented stuff. Splatoon 3 also finally has a release date — a very neat 9th September. Oh, and Sonic Origins is also locked in for 23rd June, but not without some controversy over those pre-orders. And, even though it's been rumoured for ages, we've got more concrete proof that Game Boy and GBA games will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online at some point, probably.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

I'm wrapping up a review for Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles over the weekend, but my early thoughts are that it's a lovely and clever puzzle game. When not working on finishing that I'll continue my journey through Triangle Strategy, which is great for downtime and getting the old chess brain working a little.
Elsewhere I just started Shadow of the Tomb Raider, wrapping up a steady run through the prequel trilogy. It's really good so far, just enjoyable Indiana Jones-style popcorn gaming. It also has more focus on puzzles and tombs than combat, which is fine by me!

Hey folks! This weekend, the family and I are having a wee break in Wales. Does that mean there won't be any gaming? Hahaha, of course not; I'll be taking my Switch with me. I've recently been playing The Sinking City on the PS5 and I've been enjoying it so much, I decided to start it on Switch too! The tone and narrative are right up my street, so I'm looking forward to sinking (ha) my teeth into it.

My gaming this weekend will be entirely influenced by this week's news. The whole Sonic Origins thing has got me all fired up to replay some classic Sonic. Sonic Mania is of course on the table — it's the best one, after all. My release-day GameCube is plugged in too, so I'm going to dig out Sonic Mega Collection so I can play through those classics without the pre-order discussion baggage.
I've also had an ongoing playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition burning since... it came out. So I should probably go back to it. Don't worry, I have played through Xenoblade Chronicles before — 100%ing it, even — but I left my Switch playthrough in limbo at Eryth Sea. Am I telling myself not to do every sidequest? Yes. Am I listening? Ask again in a week.

This week while I've been sick I've been playing A LOT of Slay The Spire. I still haven't Slayed the Spire, though, so wish me luck for my next Ironclad run please!
Also, more Elden Ring. We still have no idea what's going on. People keep talking about fingers, which is super weird, and everyone has really similar names like Godrick and Godwin and Godtopher which is making the story super hard to follow!

This weekend will be another dig into the ol' backlog! I have a bad habit of playing roughly halfway through a game, then dropping it when something new and shiny comes out... Planning to pull out Luigi's Mansion 3, Paper Mario: The Origami King, New Pokémon Snap, and Pokémon Shining Pearl. However, still also plugging away at Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Triangle Strategy. As always, plenty to play!

Hello. This weekend I’m gonna be polishing off some outstanding bits and pieces in the excellent Switch port of Zombie Army 4: Dead War. I’ve really enjoyed blasting through this one all over again on Switch and have just got a few stickers left to gather up in order to complete my album and 100% all collectibles.
Elsewhere, I’ve taken the advice of trusted friends and picked up both The House in Fata Morgana and Shadowverse: Champions Battle, so I’ve certainly got plenty to keep me busy over the next few days. Have a great weekend whatever you’re doing or playing!

Still very much messing around with the A500 Mini, with a vicious ongoing Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe league, still scrubbing at the bottom of Division 2 but with a choice of trade-in star players added to the roster things are looking up. Late game Kirby and the Forgotten Land along with physical arrivals of Haven and Rigid Force Redux ensure entertainment over this weekend.
Game of the week Arcade Archives Gaplus (aka Galaga 3 in the US). I used to be so much better at it... my gamer pride is offended with my poor efforts since this week's re-release, so time to get back to it this weekend.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

Hades and lego harry potter if i can prise myself off hades
Finished off 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim this week which was outstanding, best game I've played so far this year. Now the release schedule dries up a bit so I have some time to work through the backlog before things pick back up in June.
First up is Disco Elysium which I started last night. Only an hour into so far but it seems pretty interesting.
Also bought The Battle Cats Unite! from the Hong Kong eShop a couple of days ago as it was on sale and have put 10+ hours into it already while watching YouTube so it's pretty addictive.
Still doing the occasional run in The Binding of Isaac and playing some Touhou Spell Bubble online as usual and playing a little bit of Groove Coaster for the TWEWY DLC songs.
Rune Factory 5 for me. Busy weekend so I just want to keep progressing with this.
3DS games, as many as I can play
Finished and loved Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but now I'm up for something completely different:
The Suicide of Rachel Foster
So far, I'm enjoying the explore-the-creepy-abandoned-hotel gameplay.
I'll also throw in a few rounds of Cotton Reboot and WarioWare: Get It Together! for good measure.
I played PS4 games for this weekend. 🙂
1. Dragon Quest Builders 2
2. LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER
Tonight I will play my games order from Tokopedia.
This week I will be mostly playing
Fire Emblem Awakening
Trying to complete the last of my Shining Pearl Dex, which is mostly dependent on daily events and trade evolutions. I still need Feebas/Milotic, Politoed, Minun, Electrike/Manectric, Magmortar, Spoink/Grumpig, Castform, and possibly a couple of others.
Deoxys/Celebi are obviously unattainable at the moment, and I'm still on the fence about catching Shaymin/Darkrai/Arceus, as I'm tempted to soft-reset for a shiny (which I have never done before), and having both versions may make the exercise just a little less tedious. I'm only keen on a shiny Shaymin though. I'm not too bothered about Darkrai/Arceus.
This weekend is all about those!
Castlevania Order of Ecclesia is truly amazing game!
FF Explorers is a new experience!
Pokemon HeartGold is for relaxing
Switch: Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga; MUSHA on the NSO Genesis Collection
Xbox: WWE 2K22
PS5: Uncharted 4
Just got the Kirby theme on Tetris 99, am tempted to go and buy Kirby and the Forgotten Land now. I plan on starting Final Fantasy 13 on the PS3 though since I haven't played it before.
it has been two weeks since I last played Animal Crossing New Horizons. That was a great game.
I am almost finished Kirby, I have been taking it slow and enjoying every minute! Rocket League, Travel Mosaics and,
I am really liking the Hot Wheels Unleashed. Having played many of the racing games on switch, this one is similar but different in that it really feels like racing little cars. The tracks are great and the music is cool. Of course, the micro transactions are annoying, as is the adverts for DLC. But, except for that, it is a fun game.
Happy gaming everyone!
About to start the current event in Tetris 99 in a bit, before coming back to my still addiction that is Siralim Ultimate on Steam.
Crafting a team that near-flawlessly wins battles before turn 1 (hence, 'Turn 0' or 'T0') is probably the most satisfying thing to witness in a monster-catching RPG
Mostly just playing ruin factory 5, with the occasionally a bit of Children of Morta.
@TheGrizMan happy Musha-ing. Played through it a day ago on Genesis
My Steam Deck should arrive this weekend, so I'll be playing around with that a lot. I've got a lot of games I want to play on it to try it out: Doom Eternal, Horizon Zero Dawn, Dusk, Planet Zoo, and many more... I have a big Steam backlog, so it'll be handy for getting through that.
I've also been playing a lot of games on my 3DS lately. I just fired up the 3D Classics remake of Kid Icarus, so I'll hopefully get through that this weekend. I'd like to at least start on its GameBoy sequel as well.
The recent news of Xenoblade 3's release date being moved forward made me realize I now have only three months to catch up on the older Xeno games, so I started up Xenosaga Episode II a couple days ago. I'd definitely like to make some good progress on that this weekend so I can finish these games in time for Xenoblade 3. I've been taking a bit of a break from Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but that would be nice to return to as well.
After completing The Legend of Zelda, I’ve moved on to Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. The boss on the horse gave me flashbacks to the trauma this game caused me as a child; I’m not sure I have the strength to push on further.
Thankfully there is Cruis’n Blast to enjoy, a game that understands fun. And Disco Elysium is no fun but so engrossing that it’s hard to put down. And maybe I will finally get serious about defeating Raven Beak in Metroid Dread.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
@Kochambra I really enjoyed The Suicide Of Rachel Foster. Have you seen the carpet straight out of The Shining yet? 😉😊
Sonic Mania and some apex legends
Before I mention what I'm playing this weekend, I have to talk about the most notable game I've beaten that happened on Thursday: Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Not only does it count as my 700th game beaten since the start of 2009 (yes, I've been keeping track), it's also the first game I've beaten in co-op with my 7 year old daughter. The final boss was especially epic, because I didn't choose a very suitable ability (Ranger), and we had an incredibly close battle, where I had only 1 tiny sliver of health left when we delivered the final blow. One more hit and we would have lost. It was so down to the wire, and it made it all the more satisfying that we were high fiving, and she was so incredibly excited with our victory. This is what gaming is all about.
Now that I've beaten my 700th game since 2009, I've essentially beaten my backlog again. I've pretty much decided to kind of hang up gaming in a way. By that, I mean not staying so aggressively caught up with game releases and always beating the next big thing that comes out. I've also been invested in a new hobby - manga. It's where I've been putting most of my disposable income lately, and I've been getting a lot more enjoyment out of relaxing with it. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Haikyu, Dr. Stone, My Hero Academia, Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man have been a joy to read and collect so far for me.
That's not to say I'm quitting gaming all together. There's a trickle of releases I'll pick up this year (Klonoa 1 & 2, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Sonic Origins and I'm still waiting on my Limited Run release of Windjammers 2). I also aim to play more of my 3/4 arcades, play some more roguelites, replay some games I love and play some more multiplayer games with my family. I may even subscribe again to NSO and play some online games (possibly Splatoon 2 if I have the time, and if that takes off, MAYBE Splatoon 3). But I'm done my big journey towards playing as many new things as possible. I'm satisfied.
As for the actual topic, I do actually have a couple of games I havent played much that I intend to play this weekend, which are Going Under and Slay the Spire. I'm not focused on beating them, since victory in roguelites is never really guaranteed, but now that I've made it to 700 games, I'm going to dive into these just to play them. And man, these are some fun little games, I'll tell you that much. I also plan to play a little more Kirby, by mopping up those challenges to get new upgrades, and play the post game content with my kid.
Original Legend of Zelda. I just entered the final dungeon tonight...no mercy for Wizzrobes.
Astrologers proclaim the week of Switch library updates, including one that leaves my wallet yelling in an oddly Obi-Wanesque voice, "you were supposed to buy DQB2 at least AFTER playing the free trial, not INSTEAD of it!" - but hey, the game was on my wishlist since release anyway, and 40% off the complete package feels pretty neat for a game that's typically listed alongside the first party catalogue for NSO voucher eligibility and behaves on sales accordingly.😄 The modest filesize even brought it on board immediately (as opposed to some other new recruits like Slice of Life and Don't Starve Together, although I mostly plan to download the latter for multiplayer sessions anyway, like Tied Together or Overcooked before it), so I might give it a welcome roll even though I still intend to spend more substantial time on the first game. Other welcome rolls include Cloudpunk, Death Road to Canada, Regency Solitaire, Umihara Kawase Bazooka and Dice Legacy, but most of my Switch weekend should still be marked by the [appetite for] library's "senpais" (help, my metaphors in these posts are becoming more unhinged by the comment😅) like Xenoblade[s], Rune Factory 5, Immortals, DerQ, Fuga and Haven, NFS Hot Pursuit, Saints Row 4, Welcome to Primrose Lake, Bioshock 2 plus potentially some Vostok Inc, Void Terrarium, BotW, Dawn of Survivors (it may seem like a "we have Dying Light at home" option nowadays, but it's still fun), Terraria and/or other random mood strikers. All of which, knowing me, naturally doesn't rule out ambitions for stuff on other platforms, most likely the usual suspects like Endless Frontier, Spirit of Justice, Gravity Rush and SotN. Yeah.😆
Pullblox on Wii u
Mario kart tour
I've been juggling Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi and Mary Skelter 2. Two very similar games overall, but very different on the nuts and bolts level. I think I'll go with MS2 this weekend.
I plan to return to Paradise Killer today. I haven't gotten very far yet, jist getting my bearings in the game.
More Slay the Spire of course. Alternating the Defect and the Silent.
Bought Lego Star Wars: the Skywalker Saga a few days ago, playing through Episode II now.
In between gaming sessions I've been working on a crocheted sweater. I'm about 1/4 done, hope to make some progress this weekend, so I'll be spending some time crocheting and watching Avatar: the Last Airbender.
Nothing on Switch for me. The new version of Heroquest is getting my attention this weekend.
I restarted Pikmin 3! It's absolutely wonderful, but I do wish I had the option to play 1 or 2. Until that day however I will just play 3 over and over!
I am also beginning Eastward. It's a slow start but Sam just ran away and it seems like it's about to get gooooooooood. Have a good weekend y'all!
I thought I'd try Bit Orchard: Animal Valley. I fancied a simpler gaming experience, and this hits the spot
I still need to mop up a few races after winning the championship in Gear.Club Unlimited 2. Then it will be off to the DLC packs for some more racing. And maybe trying to push my club higher up the leagues in multiplayer...
Playing the ninja saviors return of the warriors, just got it on sale, this game is pretty good. I'm still on the last boss since the boss is kind of hard, after this I'll be playing it again with new characters 😃
Also my 13 sentinels just arrive, can't wait to play it after finishing ninja saviors.
Real busy this weekend, but if I'll play anything it'll be too slow down a bit and turn on the SNES mini and just fire up some old SFC game.
@KateGray Have you already beaten Act 3 with any of the characters? Last I saw in the club, you were trying to win with Silent. Did that ever happen?
Just finished metroid dread. Started hollow knight. Will go between HK and Hades this weekend.
Gonna play G-Darius HD and might pick up Gotta Protectors for switch
Pickin up where I left off in Horace and there is also time for tetris effect
After completing my life as a Tarnished in Elden Ring I decided to finish my journey as a Jedi in Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order & low and behold I got through the story!! Just getting a few extra acheevos before jumping into anything else new on my backlog. Looking forward to Halo Infinite S2 in May!
On Switch, I tried my hand at Blasphemous for a few hours to some disliking to the lore/story and back tracking to move things forward. Typical Tetris 99 nightly rounds PLUS a new ritual of Downwell! Seeing if I ever get it the bottom of that one.
Happy gaming everyone !
Legacy of Kain and Diablo.
Maybe some Civilization 2
Focused on the Switch with MK8 Deluxe and Three Houses, the latter being preparation for Three Hopes. On the Xbox front, probably some Gears 5 but I may also return to FF Origin or Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Just beat Paradise Killer, the non-committal “good ending vs bad ending” was a little off putting.
Other than that… I’m still plugging away at Elden Ring and Nexomon.
During the kid’s school vacation this week we visited New Hampshire, where nestled among its lovely mountains and lakes was Funspot, purportedly the largest game arcade in the world, and I believe them!
It had a mind-blowing collection of classic games - from Hercules, the world’s biggest pinball machine (you are flipping a cue ball around) to Leprechaun, a wee little video cabinet that was only waist-high. So many of the games from my youth in the 80s and 90s were there! We played a lot of ticket games and Skee-Ball so the kids would enjoy the stay, too. I literally could have spent a week there and not tired of it! The vacation overall was a great time and a needed refresh.
So I have arcade classics on my mind, and will do some high-score chasing in Donkey Kong and Frogger among my usual games of Slay the Spire and Spelunky. Also hope to try the Splat2n Octo Expansion now that it’s free on NSO Expansion and while I’m at it Sonic Spinball too, as I’ve never tried that one.
Have fun everyone!
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
As for this weekend, I'll be doing quite a bit of gaming with my fiancée. We started the day off with Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, with plans to play Mario Party Superstars later on in the evening.
Beyond that, this weekend also sees the Stufful community day event in Pokemon Go, so I'm definitely excited for that as well. Maybe even play a round or two of Rocket League well I’m at it. Also, with the new additions to NSO, I'll probably play some Sonic Spinball as well.
The Story Of The Shining Nurse (Pika Pika Nurse Monogatari) - Nintendo switch
Daa! Daa! Daa! (Ufo Baby) - Gameboy Color
Real Stories: Babies - DS (French version) - American title - Nursery Mania DS - Those who want to play the full game get Real Stories Babies DS the American copy (nursery Mania DS) is a absolute joke.
Happy Gaming! (^~^)
13 Sentinels all the way! Loving it.
@BenAV We'll talk on messenger in a few days about Disco Elysium because I am sort of interested in it.
@moodycat Island is the best experience I've had in my entire 39 years. If you haven't gotten to it yet then please do! I got a physical copy from PlayAsia and you can also find it on eBay.. but if you're one of those digital folks then it's also on eShop. It's from Front Wing who did The Grisaia Trilogy and even worked on the anime called Remake our Life last year.
On Switch, I'll be playing mostly NSO. Paper Mario, Starfox 64, Mario Golf, Streets of Rage 2, Donkey Kong Country, Kid Icarus and Super Mario Bros 2. I keep meaning to get back to Forgotten Land, but we'll see. I might play some Mario Party and pinball with the wife.
At home, I'll play some Starfox Adventures, DK64 and Perfect Dark.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Splatoon 2 (Octo Expansion just got added to NSO so you better believe I'm going to be diving into as asap).
Tetris 99 (I need to go get the new Kirby theme which looks wonderful on just a first impression).
Sonic Spinball (Played it for the first time on NSO there yesterday and, to the surprise of even me, I unironically really enjoyed it so I'll be wanting to play more of it very soon).
Spanky's Quest (Don't really know why, but I've gotten a real urge to replay this one. One of my favourite games on the SNES app when I last played it so we'll see if it still holds up).
The Great Ace Attorney Adventures (Just finished the first part of Chapter 5 and it's already looking great, cannot wait to play more).
@Anti-Matter Dragon Quest Builders 2 is actually free on Switch this week, with NSO (at least in Europe), so I'm playing that as well right now. Just when I finally started Etrian Odyssey V... But I'll continue playing that as well, starting it up after a long break from EO, it felt like coming home, even if it's one in the series I never played before.
Been splitting my time between replaying Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Slay the spire (on ipad), inspired by the club. Managed to beat ascension level 2 with the Defect and 3 with the silent. Think I need to put it down again for a while before it takes over my life.
Skyrim on switch.
But my bro and family are staying so more time in board games (co op ones - Aeons End, Spirit Island and Epic Dungeon)
Just beat Ori and the Blind Forest. This weekend might start playing Transistor or Axiom Verge? Not sure. Also will be working on the 100% of Mario Odyssey.
Trying to unlock all masks and hats in JUICED! Damn those levels are hard to 100%
Going to a Chorus event today, bringing my Switch so we can play some Smash Bros. Also some possible Mario Kart and Minecraft.
I'm still playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, going to take me an entire weekend just to max out all my copy abilities...and I still need to finish the post-game worlds.
PS4-WWE 2K22, King of Fighters 15, and Persona 4 Arena.
Switch- Kirby and the Forgotten World, Atelier Ryza 2, and Mario Party Superstars.
In UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[cl-r], I've completed "The Sage Cometh In The Night" chronicle and cleared two chapters in "Festival Flames" chronicle. In Corpse Party, I tried to finish Chapter 4 on clear end... But I just cleared chapter on the remaining Wrong Ends that I didn't get before. Now I just need to finish it on clear end. In Danganronpa, I've spent free times with Aoi Asahina in School Mode. After that, I fulfilled all report cards in the game. In Super Mario Odyssey, I earned a few more Energy Moons in Mushroom Kingdom. Well, that's all what I've played on this week. Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
Twisted Metal 2 (PS) - Still clearing all the characters endings, onto Warthog this weekend.
CarneyVale: Showtime (Windows Phone) - Just starting on this one.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Still doing high speed runs.
today i will start my Metroid Dread, Corpius got me quite a beating, i plan to do a 100% run on the game, after this i will play Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Infernax, Andro Dunos II, Gal Gun Returns, and, as always, Pro Baseball Spirits 2021.
Hades. Game is pretty good.
Can’t imagine sinking all the time needed to see everything though. The 4 sets of levels are getting a little old
Ratchet and Clank (PS5) Just Cause 4 Moss Book 2 and if I'm in the mood more Kirby. I had to stop with Kirby for a little while as admittedly I was beginning to find some of the missions in the game needlessly annoying.
I'm on a 3D platformer binge this week:
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - playing in small chunks so I don't get cuteness overload.
Blue Fire - just pulled off my backlog. Still early game, but fun and I absolutely love the void sections.
Demon Turf - the release of the sequel to this game made me want to play the original. Very fun so far; I love the visuals.
Atelier Sophie and Triangle Strategy demo on switch.
If I play anything on xbox it'll be Halo 5 mp.
It finally feels like spring and not cold, rainy purgatory here, which means - drum roll please - I'll be playing the Yard Work game on occasion until late fall. Maybe I should move somewhere like the desert, where lawn maintenance isn't a thing....
I hope to reach the end credits in Age of Calamity this weekend and might delve around in the post game content a little. I've enjoyed my time with the game, but after ~40 hours I'm getting the urge to move on.
I've been neglecting my Brilliant Diamond playthrough the last few days but will resume it when I've had my fill of AoC. I was last on my way to Snowpoint City.
Finally, today is Stufful Community Day in Pokemon Go. I'll only be participating for about an hour, but I hope to bag some decent pink pandas during that time. Really wish Niantic had kept Cdays at 6 hours instead of 3 though....
Happy gaming!
Finishing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this weekend, on the final chapter and having my mind blown away by the twists that are slowly being revealed to me.
Earlier this week I finished Final Fantasy VIII. I know this one is a bit divisive and I did have a few complaints here and there but honestly, I enjoyed it! I really loved using the junction system and playing the card mini game 😂.
Now I've decided to start a game that I've wanted to play for a very long time and that is Xenogears! I have only heard good things about this game and I'm quite curious to see what the hype is about! Hoping I can finish this one before Xenoblade 3 comes out!
Pokémon Legends Arceus.
I wiped out Caveman Ninja off of my backlog this week, and I made it to the first Wily stage in Mega Man 9. Also started Captain Commando on the Capcom Beat em up collection, playing as none other than the Cap himself! I’ll maybe try to finish MM9 this weekend when I’m not doing school work.
Other than that, I’ll be playing around with Rivals of Aether. I also started a new play through of Sonic Mania Plus, out of hype for Sonic Origins.
@MattAllsopp Sure! I guess both the owners of the Timberline and the Overlook get their supplies from the same provider! XD
Elden Riiiiiiiiiiiiiing
Tunic (PC), Monster Boy (Switch), both fantastic as expected, and a surprising game called Nobody Saves the World (Switch). Having a blast!
@Sam_ATLUS Awesome game, but don't forget to play Torna when you finish it. Terrific!
Probably The Last Of Us, which I got for $5, to which I then saw in a different store for $22. I’ll also play some Gorilla Tag.
I'm on vacation with the family so depends on how much free time i get. Hopefully i'll fit in some grappledog and into the breach
Well not the arcade version of Galpus - but the Namco Museum Arcade Archives version . Got both volume 1 & 2 last week for $5.
Rune Factory 5 for me time. Between that and studying for the series 9, I'll be booting up Mario kart 8 deluxe with my dad. We bought another cartridge for the lite, so now he sits in his chair, having the entire giant TV screen to himself, and I get to look at the mini screen.
Crash 4 for me, I think I'm finally nearing the actual end of the game. After that? Finally gonna get to start Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
Immortals Fenyx Rising Recently gave the game another try, and I've been having a great time. Much of this map is gorgeous & fun to explore. Just past the twenty hour mark.
Probably will do a few Rocket League matches. One of the greatest games ever. (most played game on my console)
Splatoon 2, because i’m all hyped up again thanks to the new footage.
My pace through Ys VIII is glacial right now. Life is suddenly quite busy! I did recently dip back into SMT IV on the 3DS. Loving the vibe of that game. Might continue with more of that this weekend. Anyways, happy gaming!
Will finish Triangle strategy and then keep working on XC1 and Forza.
@moodycat It's 1000000x worth it! Please trust me. Definitely get a physical copy though. It's a piece of art that transcends time and space. It actually had a profound affect on me and changed me.
Honestly? Nothing. Feeling a bit burnt out, I think. Need a break for a while
M&L paper jam, crosscode which I just fired up yesterday for 30 min, and some mario golf GBC.
And some stuff with the kids too.
Since there's a trial for it, I'll be playing DQ Builders 2 this weekend! Looking forward to trying it out. I'll probably grab it too since it pretty much never goes on sale.
Otherwise it's more of Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Lego Star Wars on PS5. No, I still haven't beaten Kirby.
I got my PS Vita two days ago. It's hacked to all hell, came preloaded with all sorts of stuff and I'm already enjoying it a lot! So:
On PS5: Mafia 2 (great game)
On Switch: Mario Bros Deluxe U (loving it)
On Vita: Darkest Dungeon (early into the game, but I can already tell it's going to kick my butt).
Enjoy your weekend guys!
Since XBC3 is comming early i’m going to play xenoblade chronicles future connected. I’m so in the mood for some Xenoblade. Also playing a lot of retro games like Hook (nes), Jurassic Park (nes or snes) or some Super Star Wars. Can’t choose….
Donkey Kong tropical freeze……working on the 100%
Boy those K levels…!*#?
I've got plans to return to The Great Ace Attorney, some shiny hunting Arceus since I just got my shiny charm last night, and trying to make some progress on my Three Houses Golden Deer route finally. Last route before I'm ready to take on Blue Lions Maddening difficulty and wait for Three Hopes to release.
Otherwise, I've decided to finally start playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon today after promising friends I'd play it and telling them I would start this month. Better late than never I suppose lol. Might try to work on another chapter of the Demon Slayer game too, if I have the time.
Will also be taking some time to play Pokemon Go Community Day for cute little Stufful today because I love it.
I’m feeling empty since I finished Skyward Sword and Kirby
But I’ll jump back and focus on Horizon Forbidden West
Other then that I definitely will be playing Mario kart online, some Mario games and Age of Calamity
Played a crazy 92 hours on my PS4 from april 1 to april 15, because I felt I needed to get some play time out of my investment (bought it more than 6 years ago and still haven't reached 500 hours play time totally).
I've just been much more into handheld gaming, the last decade or so, than consoles. The last console I bought besides my PS4 (and a Wii U which I bought in 2013 - and sold a year later) was a PS3 back in late 2009.
I just haven't been that impressed with the PS4's games library (I don't really like Sony's first party offerings - got burned on Uncharted 1+2 and Demon's Souls back in the PS3 days and didn't like The Last of Us either).
I've mainly played PS3/Xbox 360 remasters on my PS4 (Resident Evil 4, 5, 6, Tomb Raider and Zombi) and this april a lot of hours of Dead Island especially (it IS actually quite an accomplishment of a game IMO - I know it's very repetitive - and even broken at times - but just the sheer amount of content it holds is something - AND the combat system with the kick backs is quite good actually).
Right now I'm taking a break from gaming in general while I wait for my Steam Deck to arrive at some point the next 2 month or so. It'll probably be some of the last gaming hardware I'll buy (might be interested in a "Switch 2", but then again I'm not that sure - I just don't see that many games for it, I would like to buy - I already have the remasters I want on the Switch and the rest the Steam Deck will cater for - at least I hope so - you can't be 100% sure with an open Linux platform).
The only 2 games I'm looking forward to is Gotham Knights and the rumoured Resident Evil 4 remake (I'm pretty sure the latter will happen - it's just a question of time IMO).
I hope these will run on the Steam Deck. If not, I might buy a cheap used Xbox Series S just to play these 2 and a few others games. I've got a 1080p TV that would suit the Series S well (but I would much prefer to play those games on my Steam Deck).
So not really playing anything this weekend actually.
@the_beaver Awesome game indeed. Don't worry I have Torna and plan to play it soon! Just intend to have a brief break from Xenoblade and play Kirby before playing Torna.
Really got into Monster Hunter Stories 2 so will be playing that for the day. I also started 13 sentinels not on switch but on PS4, I have had it for a while but never touched it for some reason. May also play/read Olympia Soirée
I woke up this morning not knowing what to play. I decided I wanted to rock SUPER MARIO GALAXY on the TV via the 3D collection. That game is a stone cold classic and the gyro controls work great as a WiiMote replacement. Will probably work some more on LEGO STAR WARS later this weekend.
Me:
Slay the Spire (I can´t stop playing it)
Sonic Mania
Me and Family together:
Mario Party Superstars
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
*** This week we found out my wife is pregnant, so no Just Dance
I’m playing through my all time favorite game… Style Savvy Styling Star (again). Since they won’t put any Style Savvy games on switch, I’m enjoying them on my 3ds… and the switch is getting a bit dusty, ha!
I've been playing Legend of Zelda (with heavy use of a map...) and I'm hoping to finish that this weekend.
I also finally started Shadowrun Returns and am quite interested in the story so far
This weekend I'm going through the NSO Free Trial of Dragon Quest Builder 2 as well as Kirby Star Allies and maybe some Sonic Spinball on the NSO Mega Drive, I hate the game but somehow I love its music that apparently was composed in 2 hours.
I finally got an HDD for my Wii U and backed up most of my stuff except Smash Bros. 4 and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water since I want to get their DLCs before backing them up, I may start with the bigger downloads now. Metroid Prime Trilogy, Metroid Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be among the first downloads.

Got my Steam Deck this week, loaded up Cemu, and now I"m playing Wind Waker HD portably. Nintendo took too long.
@Mynameishello omg wow you're so amazing and fascinating and we're all so glad you shared all of that. We'd all love to hear more about how awesome you are.
It isn't tedious at all.
nestled among its lovely mountains and lakes was Funspot, purportedly the largest game arcade in the world, and I believe them!
@Teksetter This... this is... how could I possibly not have learned of this sooner?
That... is very exciting. I need little excuse to traverse les Vertes, but I guess this time I will be crossing les Blanches as well (mountains, that is). I'm not so familiar with New Hampshire, but I'm sure it has sections just as pretty as Vermont. With all those mountains, I think I'll set out on some clear night so I can visit Mt. Mégantic Observatory, as well. Maybe I can finally find a copy of Celeste down there in the bargain?
[Hopping excitedly] Teksetter, where have you been all my life?
Over 100 hours on Horizon Forbidden West. I'm a really slow player and try to do most of the side quests, etc. Still a lot undone and still having a blast.
@Mynameishello
Was that a journal entry?
Just finished Ni No Kuni II - an enjoyable game. Now will start Immortals Fenyx Uprising.
@CANOEberry
I’m happy to have shared some arcade goodness! I mean, I love arcades, miss them desperately, and thus I’m wicked biased, but for me the 3.5hr drive for Funspot and a night in a nice lakeside inn was well worth it. I’d heartily encourage you to hop in your canoe and paddle on down!
And it would be fitting to find your copy of Celeste far up in the Green or White mountains.
I only wish I stretched the trip out another night or 2 so the kiddos and I could have done more.
There was so much history on display there, both of arcade machines and the local area, which has been a summer vacation spot since the gilded age. Walking through those rows and rows of video cabinets and pinball tables with the half-remembered sounds, callouts, and attract modes really took me back in time and I was GEEKING OUT. What an absolute treat it was to visit!
I’m going to be playing Pokémon Black and Mario and Luigi bowser’s inside story
@Teksetter Please don't take this the wrong way, because I don't want to scare you or freak you out... so here goes:
You are the gaming
parentfriendtour guide that we need but don't deserveHave you been to Maine, like the Mount Desert Island area? Probably a silly question. It has a similar history to the one you're describing (albeit more famous?), from the sound of it. One of the nicest places I've been.
The portage between the Connecticut and Merrimack river systems looks rather daunting, but... I'm going to start planning this trip immediately. Your dedication to the retro gaming gilded age is deeply appreciated. Thanks so much for mentioning this!
Weird that I actually started back up XC myself
Got me Blasphemous. It has incredible nightmare fuel.
@TotalHenshin yes!! I still haven't Slayed The Spire (i.e. the end boss) but I've made it all the way with all three keys once!
@KateGray Nice! Best of luck then! I tried to STS with Ironclad for a couple tries and failed.... Then Silent reminded me that I should never send in a boy to do a woman's job. 💅
Looking forward to the next update of the club. I really like the idea! I hope more people come into the fold with each update.
