Silly old out of touch men saying a pseudo poker game is too naughty while the eshop is flooded with softcore stuff and tiktok is on every 12+ year olds phone. We live in a society. Or used to.
I don't think anyone but a handful of 10 year olds actually play that weird unneeded sub-game anyway.
New season looks great though, but I'm a sucker for Mythology. A shame they somehow still don't know how to simply apply an update to their game without tacking on an extra 8 hours of downtime every damn time. Small indie companies..
I find it so very strange people think the name is bad. Do you guys actually think things like '3D Mario World' or 'spinoff-character-name-here Showtime!' are just brilliant marketing names? So memorable?
You mention Unicorn Overlord and people not interested in anime or video games would be curious. I'll take a unique even if slightly silly name over generic 'bad ass' name or literal descriptions of the game "Mario vs Donkey Kong" anyday.
Oh man that Sombra skin! Ive only ever watched a handful of episodes too but I want that. I guess they're like cosplaying or just 'in the style' of? Anyway..
A shame they put a long lasting bad taste in my mouth when the new season launched with a Switch exclusive bug that crashed the game every match making it unplayable. For a week. Adding penalties everytime it crashed on us for leaver penalty. With 0 compensation. After they happily took money for the BP.
So oh well, no $20 skin for me, or them for the foreseeable forever.
Judging by the demo that I beat while paying about 15% attention to due to its toddler like ease, I'm surprised anyone would drop more than $30 on an outsourced pseudo Nintendo game that almost plays itself it's so easy.
DLC versus the best RPG in over a decade? Lol not really a contender, BG wins. Haven't played Dave to judge but kind of surprised to even see it along side such titles.
Gotta say Balatro is pretty addicting despite it's behind the scenes mechanics being very gamey and clearly meant to end your run at the boss by giving it the skill most suited to breaking whatever cards you've invested in that run, which is pretty annoying.
Oh just give it the 9 already despite frame rate issues and it being a third party game with the Nintendo label just slapped on to keep it's $60 price tag indefinitely (minus those silly - 33% "sales" on 7 year old games) already.
That's cool, I liked the first one. Cool atmosphere. I usually like games where I get progressively stronger though and not just more worn down and inflicted with things like more ailments, that's never been an appealing "challenge" to me. Maybe I'll pick it up again some day though.
@KayFiOS Yes how very generous of them to let me rent 30 year old games for two weeks that my phone already runs while upscaled to look 8x better than on NSO.
That said, redeemed mine and turned off auto renew so I can go get my butt beat on Smash online a little at least. So glad f2p games don't require a BS subscription service to use online like we live in 2001 still.
If only Square ever did worthwhile sales on their TWO year old games. Oh well, no skin off my moleskin pouch if they'd rather sell little to no copies at $60 than lots at $20.
Wish they did more reviews of little game like this since we all know the next spin off space filler official game Nintendo slops out will get a 9 as usual. We already know how you feel about those so little gem reviews are much more worthwhile to see.
I really should pick of Hands of Fate 2 again, I barely even played it when I got it. I think it might have been because I'd been playing Witcher so the combat felt horrible after coming off Geralt. I did like what I played though and I barely scratched the surface.
Surprised it's under $30 and not like 90 with how much they mark up such things. Crazy that those pull back cars WERE the entertainment as a kid and not just a goofy trinket from a immersive video wonderland.
@BlueMonk I mean digital is infinitely better for safe keeping than a piece if plastic. I copy the game off my Switch and if I want to, copy it and put it on 5 other storage devices as backup. Hard to do that with a game cart the size of a stamp.
Definitely couldn't stomach a whole episode of Simpsons these days but that was a decent clip. Although I swear the animation (or maybe background quality) seemed a lot lower budget looking than I remember.
Amuses me some anal old people are worried about this when 90% of kids these days are addicted to phones and have free reign to scroll through DimDok all day long unsupervised.
@WiiWareWave Oh its a bigger collapse than just video games. You can only keep lying to people how great the economy is doing when it's not for so long before it bites one's butt.
Good to see Nightdive doing another great port although I have no interest in Star Bores. I did get Quake when it came out and it's impressive how much they stuffed into it. I can't help but feel it's $20 more than the Quake remasters just because of the IP though. You know they love milking you.
That's a shame. You'd think 16 gigs would be a lot of changes. Maybe they messed up the update as well as the game and it was supposed to only be a couple MB but makes you re-download a ton of data on accident. Wouldn't be surprising with how little companies seem to care these days.
Just a rollback on the rush to hire for DEI initiatives now that that is backfiring. Seeing it across every industry, not just gaming. AI is also showing lots of redundancies across many sectors.
Did they never hear of Sony vs Bleem? Bleem was active during the consoles lifespan and Sony lost. Although Bleem lost too obviously when fighting the greedy corporate overlords and being unable to afford the costs of ongoing legal attacks.
It's a open source project anyway so good luck slaying that hydra.

Re: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Community Pays Tribute To Akira Toriyama
Pretty neat. Didn't know there were big group lobbies like that.
I'd be interested in seeing the player numbers to see how many people decided to hop on and play a few rounds or do this sort of thing after the news.
RIP

None since even my potato phone can upscale them to 8x and has save states. Can't go back to blocky textures and manual saves points after that.
