When it comes to Pokémon the collecting never stops, and Trainers in the UK will soon have a chance to jump in on a distribution that ran last year in Japan - retailer GAME has announced that it'll be distributing serial codes for Mythical Pokémon Darkrai.
Originally distributed with the movie short Pikachu, What's This Key? in Japan, it'll apparently kick off in the UK on 13th February, conveniently on a day when plenty of gamers are likely to be heading into stores with an eye on the New Nintendo 3DS and related releases. The end date is unknown, but the distribution will work on all of the gen VI releases - Pokémon X & Y and Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
Will you be heading to a local GAME store to grab this? Let us know, while we'll keep an eye out for details on potential distributions for this 'mon in other countries.

Sounds cool but I already have a Darkrai.
I have a Darkrai already, and no real intention to go to my local GAME this weekend seeing as I've forked out cash for the special edition of Majora's Mask 3D. If it were Hoopa, that'd be a different story.
Have they said how this will work? A till print code per customer? With purchases? Via the online connection with your ds in store?
would be more interested this was in america to (considering i live there xP ) also change darkrai to mew shaymin my pokedex waits on these two
I already have a Darkrai, and I live in the US. So no! No plans to visit GAME for me!
Out of curiosity, Does anyone know if GAME is anything like GameStop? Just wondering if its much different. Kinda a dumb question, but y'know.
@JellySplat What's GameStop like?
They sell used DS and 3DS games, along with new ones. They sell a very wide variety of other games and consoles, most locations also sell a few collectible video game related items, such as Pokemon cards, and Minecraft plushies etc..
The store is usually pretty small, with the games lined along the walls. And the systems are usually in the back of the store. Kisoks for new systems, and game demos are typically in the front of the store near the entrance.
As far as color scheme goes, generally its pretty dark, with dark green/blue hounds tooth carpeting, and dark blue walls.
That's GameStop for you!
Ah well it'll give me a chance to become more accustomed to my local Game in Brighton.
@JellySplat They're the same basically, though from experience I find I see more playable displays in Gamestop stores then Game stores.
@Jazzer94
I figured. Although, who can argue that GAME deals WAY better preorder bonuses, am I right? (Musical Zelda game card treasure chest comes to mind)
@JellySplat Problem is Game is normally more expensive here in the UK then other alternatives meaning you're basically paying for the preorder bonus.
@Jazzer94
Gotcha!
Ugh I hate having to go to GAME for these things. What ever happened to distributing Pokemon online?
Again codes? When they finally start thinking?
Serial - Cereal. Pretty same pronunciation.
Guys, you gotta want it!
I'd take another Darkrai if it comes over here, but I'd rather get a Meloetta... I missed the first event for it.
@DontPlayDumb
Codes show they are thinking. Codes get the person to the store to possibly get them to buy something and spend money for them. If it was just a Wifi release, people would just stay at home and get it without being exposed to any marketing.
This is why i have an action replay
There is nothing satisfying about using an action replay to get Pokemon.
@Tsurii897 Ever consider some people don't have even a normal Darkrai since you can't get them through normal means?
UGH, can't they just do worldwide distributions already?
Great, I was going to go to GAME anyway on Friday, so it's very convenient for me. However, I would generally prefer these events to be over WiFi worldwide instead of having to go to specific locations.
Please come to America. I like it when distributions work for the entire generation so I get more than one of the legendary, which can be useful for trading later on.
I hope this comes to America. I think we've only had like 1 Darkrai event.
I already got a Darkrai from Gen 5's Wifi event, though it would be nice if America got the Darkrai event too. I'm still wondering when they'll start distributing Hoopa(Or redistribute Diancie).
Hopefully the rest of Europe will get these too.
@Iggly I would love if they redistributed Diancie because I missed it. But I doubt it. They'll probably put all the attention on Hoopa.
