@Almighty-Koz true, although I wouldn't go around praising the 3DS's graphical capabilities too much hahaha. Love the first one to death, and I was practically crying when Shulk and Fiora were introduced as DLC in XC2, they looked so good. I'm thinking about the whole game looking something like that, maybe with an art style closer to the original tho.

Xenoblade Chronicles is an awesome series, really looking forward to where they take the series next. I'm more of a main series guy than a XCX guy, so I'm hoping for a XC3, though I'd most certainly be hyped for a XCX2.

When the technology in Ninty's hardware makes everything look really, really sick I'd absolutely love a remake of the original, with a few tweaks here and there!

I agree with some of the people here that MKWii had better kart handling. Something just feels a bit off in MK8 for me. Still a good game tho

I'm p happy with the service in general, me and my mates split up a family account between 6 of us, so at the end of the day we're only paying like $10 NZD per year, which is cheap as chips. Tetris 99 is really fun and the NES games are a good distraction every now and then.

Still not seeing any of the special exclusive offers (besides tetris) they talked up awhile back tho?

@carlos82 Very true! It'd be nice if they could also improve the textures and perhaps the draw distance a bit too tho. I'm not too sure how much work this would take.

I hope if a Switch Pro does come out with better specs, they go back and patch all their big games to look prettier, I'm p sure xbox did just that when the X came out. Xenoblade 2 with a lil res bump and some improved textures (or just decent quality on handheld mode) would be fantastic.

@rex_rex Get in on that sweet, sweet Torna DLC my dude, it does wonders for fleshing out the overall story and has good character development for some of the peeps that also appear in the main game.

I'm still somewhat hopeful that the next Xenoblade will be out on Switch as XC2 launched early in its life cycle, but given its history of 1 game per system I'm doubtful. Though I suppose we did get an excellent and huge DLC game in the form of Torna, so I can't complain!

Waiting for a release on a newer, more powerful console so they can really push the visuals and create beautiful worlds isn't so bad either.

I hate how the mechs come to a grinding halt when you hit the ground, it kills the momentum and flow of the game for me. I think Xenoblade X had better movement in that regard, which is a shame cos the mech movement wasn't the focus of that game at all, unlike DxM.

Well, if they're going for fused joycons, might as well move the 'D pad' and the face buttons around so they're not directly above/below the sticks, it'd be tons more comfortable.

I was having a yarn with some random dude in the queue at JB HiFi who was also getting smash the moment the shop was open. Never happened to me before in NZ!

Aside from the motion controls I believe many hate on it for the linearity too. Might give it a shot, but might just pick it up from the Wii U eshop or 2nd hand for cheap instead.

Xenoblade 2 had phenomenal post launch support and great bang for your buck DLC. I do wish that the patches could be saved onto the cartridges somehow so that they're not hogging all of my system memory though.

XC3 please! Or a nice HD remake of the first game with a few touch ups to the mechanics here and there would be awesome, but personally I'd want them to hold off on that until the next ninty console so they can get it to look PERFECT.

Yeah a music player on Switch would be sick, along with the ability to play tunes while you have a game running.

I'm not sure if other consoles still do it, but I remember it being done by certain games on the og Xbox, and that was great.

Pokemon Sun and Moon actually has some of the best animation I've seen. I was thrown off by the stills, but in motion it's really beautiful and I love the wacky facial expressions.

Every time Shulk is re-released I will buy one. Rex & Pyra Smash Ultimate amiibo would be nice too

@Spike6958 Eh, at the very least the base game most definitely seems to have more content than Mario Tennis Ultra Smash... but then again, that's not saying much.

Art style and sprites look super clean!

I'm hoping the Switch turns out like the 3DS by the end of its life, hell the 3DS didn't even have an eshop when it launched, and look at it now. Adding a bunch of features without slowing down the home menu much would be the best outcome!

Was heavily considering getting this on my laptop, but put it off and sorta forgot about it. Definitely getting this now!

60fps will always be the superior option in games like these, but it's really cool that the devs are giving people options!

@singingbrakeman I'm thinking it might have something to do with the Switch having such a small storage capacity, and games having auto-update features? I'd imagine that some people would get pretty upset if 90% of their memory was taken up by an auto update patch for a game.

Basically the devs had to re-release their patched game under a new title because patching the original release would've made the file size too big for Ninty's liking.

@gspro15198 Yeah don't worry, the font size is much bigger compared to XCX. You shouldn't have any problems reading it, assuming you aren't half blind

@Melkac Yeah, it looks like I either misread the title or it was amended to say "home console", I was thinking about the 3DS MH games.
On a side note, I think a MH Switch exclusive game has the potential to sell really well. A great-looking portable MH would be amazing!

Thumbnail is pretty bang-on for which games are gonna get the most votes. My top 3 would have to be: Xenoblade 2 #1, Zelda BotW #2 and Splatoon 2 #3, with Mario Odyssey not far behind.

Whatever the GOTY turns out to be, can't deny this year has been awesome for gaming!

Even just the white under Rex's smaller pupils looks much more expressive and angry. I'm really digging the changes.
