@ancientlii The original Japanese has always been "Kagaku no chikara tte sugee!" throughout the series which directly translates to "The power of science is amazing!" They couldn't fit that in two lines of 16 characters so they used "Technology is incredible!" for the GB games. But apparently they officially switched to the former since Sun/Moon (except for Let's Go, which is still Technology is incredible as a throwback). I didn't watch Pokemon XY anime dub but Ash was saying the same phrase whenever Clemont whipped up a cool mecha.

The "mutliple" typo is actually NOE's doing, not NOA. If your console region is set to Europe, you see that typo. If set to The Americas, we see what ninten90 posted (different wordings and no typos).

Believe me, if the guy had said "Japanese" instead of Chinese, it would still be in Chinese theaters with audiences roaring in laughter. There would be social media backlash in Japan but the Japanese wouldn't censor it.

Not if you want to hunt for shiny legendaries. Don't keep the ones that aren't shiny and you can retry as many times as you like. Once kept, that particular legendary cannot be captured again.

Also, in Dynamax Adventures the stats and shininess are determined after the capture, so during raids the Pokemon will always be in a normal color.

Tweet OP used the infinite Daruk's Protection trick; DP will still be in effect for 0.1 seconds or 3 frames after lowering your shield (release ZL), and that won't cost one use. That's how they managed the first counter. Then there's the bullet time bounce (BTB), finishing off with Good Guys Don't Look at Explosions. Impressive!

@DoctorShrunk It's the same. "Free" item with points, but shipping to my state is 5.00 + tax = 5.50 USD. However, I got all of my platinum points without spending a cent (by doing the "Where's Waldo" search-and-click missions on various titles), so I can't complain. Someone has to pay that shipping.

@ALinkttPresent Because ESRB and CERO have different rating standards. Any sexual references may bump up ESRB rating but not CERO. Conversely CERO cares about alcohol references but not ESRB (hence grape juice instead of wine in Phoenix Wright; "water castella" instead of saké in the Japanese version of PWAA: SoJ)

Also, "X no fuguri" is actually a real life Japanese plant naming scheme. They really do call Veronica polita "Inu no fuguri" or Dog Scrotum, and Veronica persica "Ooinu no fuguri" or Giant Dog Scrotum.

@Anti-Matter But unlike Home Designer, we cannot rearrange the placement of furniture or change wallpaper/floor in an Animal's home the way we like in New Horizons. Sure, we can use Harv's studio to recreate an Animal's home interior, but they're not actually living in it so it's different.

As long as you're not directly profiting off AC (as in selling AC themed passport holder — that kickstarter got taken down), it's apparently okay. Same goes for KFC and McDonalds showcasing their island custom designs.

@Clyde_Radcliffe they're oil barrels but video-edited to appear curved. The gray color is also edited, likely taken from the oil-barrel bathtubs you can make with a DIY recipe.

@rjejr In New Leaf, the fireworks automatically starts at 7pm in game and ends at midnight, going off in the background nonstop for 5 hours. You (and friends) are able to come earlier that day to talk to Isabelle and share a custom design for the fireworks. Hopefully it's more or less the same in this game.

@Andy_Witmyer Of course you can invite friends over for firework shows. Back in New Leaf (3DS), a visitor could even put up one of their own guest design. Dunno about this game.
Also back in New Leaf, you can either dream about a random island, or enter a Dream Code for a specific island. They already mentioned Dream Codes are available in this game, so you can share yours and visit someone specific indeed.

@Flowerlark If I want to trade my Zamazenta for your Kyogre, here's one way to do it: I offer my Zamazenta in SwSh for your anymon in SwSh. I then ask for a Kyogre on GTS but offer a Lv1 anymon, and you fulfill it.
That's right, sometimes people are using the GTS as trades since back in March we couldn't do friend trades unless we were nearby, and we couldn't move Kyogre in SwSh.

@Poloscen89 Nintendo owns Animal Crossing and Splatoon (=first-party games), so they can do patches fairly quickly. Nintendo does NOT own Pokemon though, more like Game Freak and the Pokemon Company (=second-party). Game Freak will be the one releasing patches and they are obviously not as efficient, so don't blame Nintendo for that.

@Wormold That one's easy. Before you send the letter, open your inventory, press A at the ores, there'll be an option that says "grab 1". One ore will occupy a new slot, repeat this 5 times. Now drag and drop (hold A) the individual ore onto another to combine them into one slot of 5 ores. Then send letter.

@ClassSonicSatAm Even if you were one of the testers, I doubt you'd be able to find a bug like this — I don't think during your testplay you would try to remove someone when you and your partner fainted, like @Lalivero wondered. Or maybe you (and the developers) were able to find and fix 999 bugs but missed this. The amount of coding in modern games have become too complex to be tested error-free within a reasonable timeframe. Millions of players out there are more likely to find such a bug than the limited number of testers. Saying no one tested the games is unfair to them. As long as it can be fixed in a patch, no harm done.

@embison To be fair, 19/12 is the correct linguistic order for "19th of 12mber". Our American way of writing it as 12/19 forces it to read "12mber 19". It is ours that can be misread as 12th of 19ember, not the Brits. We still say "the Fourth of July" following European tradition, after all.

However, since 5 and 6 are digital only, you need to either create a US sub/throwaway account and pay for the nintendo online membership to be able to go to eshop and download those, or change your main PAL account to US, then change back. (I heard that any funds in your account will disappear if you switch to another country?)

@BenAV Yes, infinite times but the display will always change from 99* to 1*. You won't know how many times someone has reset, but you can know yours using Splatnet 2.

@BenAV @Otoemetry Since we can now reset to Lv1 after reaching Lv99, Snails are technically infinite. It will take much, much longer now after the Splatfests are done, though. Wonder if they'll add Snail prizes to Salmon Run in a future update?

@Dan_Dan There were 25 (or 5x5) acres in NL. The mini map in the screenshot here appears to be 6x6, but each "acre" somehow appears rectangular instead of square. And only the middle 16 acres are grass land. Hmm, I'm sure it's bigger than NL, but not as big as I originally thought.

@Braz_OS I live in the US, and we call what you described a "summer break". When we say "(winter) holiday season" we mean Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year — during our winter from later November to early January. However Australia's December IS summer, so they would call it "summer holidays".

If only the top 2 were kept and all other entries destroyed (as it should in contests and college/company applications for privacy/security reasons) and both the top 2 are found dubious, then they would have nothing else to review. They also cannot sell the designs (as they announced; legally they can't anyway) so all printed materials become losses. Everyone loses here.

Definitely get this version though, as it not only includes Japanese but will also get the French and Chinese language patch soon.
