@JSuede: It doesn't work that way. Demo usages are recorded in your system, so even if you re-download again it will still show "Uses remaining: 0" and won't let you play. The only way for your plan to work is to reformat the system memory.
@Digital-Deviant You can't reply to replies. You simply have to write a new note. The new feature being announced is the ability to send attachments when you reply to someone's note.
@Five-seveN Serplux means there is a yearly Hatena subscription you can enroll to use the advanced features like color comments and rare stars, but you can still use the basic features for free like you said. I guess maintaining 3DS flipnote is more difficult so they require a monthly fee. Oh well, maybe we can still use it for free during contests or something.
Gary Oak, a VILLAIN? Maybe he's a bully, and maaaybe he gets 10 badges out of 8 and makes hilarious internet meme, but he's far from being a villain. Hell, he's currently a prestigious researcher in the anime. And yet TR places #26? What's wrong with these voters?
As a side note, did all of you know that B/W 1 and 2 featured gays and cross-dressers, but they were all edited out in the localized versions? I'm talking about the buzz-creating Ferris Wheel, if you play as a boy in B/W1 in summer, you get to ride with a mountain hiker who loves boys. In B/W2 if you play as a boy in summer, you get to ride with a female caretaker who's actually a man. I'm a little sad when these light-hearted scenes get edited out because people keep demonizing these things when they aren't intended that way at all, like that manji and Jynx.
Let's just say it's akin to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, except that you don't recruit comrades by defeating enemies in the dungeon, instead you capture them face-raider style (Denpa=radiowaves)
They did say "We're Denpa Men and we live around radio waves" in the demo, so the translation is there. Maybe it's just weird calling them Radiowave Men.
@1takauchiha I live in the West Coast and I got it. There's a banner that just says "Demos" with the Denpa Men graphic and you can't miss it. (The 5th icon to the right of "News") Try again at a later time if you must.
@ChunkyDroid Read HarmoKnight's post (#31). You have to get the first piece via SpotPass first (when Nintendo unlocks it in your region) to be able to receive the rest from any other region.
@Metabble_King I'm still not sure how to do that though - I thought the Koopa shell would break after you've stepped on it 20 times as Gold Mario (so it's not truly infinite in CR mode)? Do I need to go back the pipe and let it respawn?
@LordOtakWiiU In Japan alone NSMB2 sold almost a million copies, so multiply that by the max coin count which is 10 million (minus 1), you get up to 10 trillion coins just in Japan. I don't have the global sales figure, but I doubt most of us would max out anyway.
I will stick with cartridges, but I understand the need for someone to download, such as those who don't live near game shops but have internet connection, and just want to play right now without having to wait for mail delivery.
@NintendoLife A suggestion to the polls, can you swap out radio buttons in favor of check boxes? To allow multiple selections for those who'll be downloading more than one.
@3DSonicPizza Since B/W2 are DSi enhanced games, you cannot play a Japanese B/W2 on your 3DS. TheConsiglio likely bought a Japanese 3DS as well, or something I refuse to talk about here. @TrueWiiMaster Yes it has to be on, just like in B/W, you need to choose between Streetpass hits and Pokemon tags. But you need to close the lid anyway, so the 3DS pedometer will still work (up to 7 days)
@Tsuchinoko Actually "Demon" or "Devil" would work in the sense of someone being as strict as hell, at least in the US. Take "Hell's Kitchen" for example, Gordon Ramsey is described as a demon chef, and it's not necessarily about Necronomicon.
And those shiny glasses. Gotta love 'em reflective glasses of both men.
I know Japanese so here's the main gist for everyone - Onitore (Demon Training) is designed to broaden your working memory (short-term memory) capacity while the previous Brian Ages/Trainings put more emphasis on accelerating your working memory process speed. They mentioned it's like the difference between CPU speed and RAM capacity in computers. Brain Age works better on elder people because your working memory speed falls with age, while young adults are more likely to benefit from Onitore because regardless of age, working memory capacity can be expanded. But Brain Age sections do exist in this game.
Research also shows that too much of brain training will lower your brain function, particularly in your social communication skills, so they will only allow you to play 40 minutes per day (5 minutes per 8 sections) in Onitore.
And Iwata did mention this new series of "A Little Bit of Nintendo Direct" will be periodically released.
@Thomas By "silver and golden mario" you mean silver Luigi and golden Mario. You can see golden Mario's slightly forward-leaning moment when he runs while the silver one is upright. And it's kind of obvious they're playing as Mario Bros.
@Thomas By "real later levels" did you mean the special levels? I was under the impression that the assist blocks won't appear in those levels even if you die 5 times, could you clarify what you meant?
@Chris720 @3DSNoobieNerd et al. Yes yes you guys are pro, we get it. But newbies like myself paid the same price, so we deserve to get a chance to play the harder level with assistance. A million lives don't mean anything if I have to go back to the start of the level or the checkpoint every time I die (it's always between those I'm having trouble with). Once I get better by spending hours and hours on gaming like your guys, I will play it through again without getting cuddled. Don't like those, don't use them. Like to grin and bear, be my guest. But stop telling me what to do.
@Gridatttack @TwilightPoint The cost of the digital download and retail purchase is exactly the same ($39.99 in the US). Nintendo's official stance is you're paying for the content, not the physical package. You also get the peace of mind that you will never lose the game if you buy digital (you can redownload it for free if you accidentally delete it, but if you lose your cartridge you'll have to repurchase one).
@bezerker99 Even if most people know how Pokemon is actually pronounced (poe-kay-mon), some will still say Pokey-man. Pronouncing it differently doesn't mean they've never played any said games before, it's just their accent (someone above mentioned that's how they pronounce in UK).
@Wheels2050 @rjejr The thing is Reggie is not allowed to say whatever he likes, he's still under the scrutiny of the parent company - Nintendo of Japan. He can get himself into trouble by revealing specifics without permission from "the top". It's also a common business practice to keep things under wraps as close to launch as possible in order to keep the investors and gamers hanging in anticipation. The sooner you tell people, the more likely they lose interest over something they don't like sooner. The later the revelation, the less likely people will withdraw from it since they've already spent so much time investing/anticipating it. I wouldn't have bought my 3DS at launch had I known beforehand it would take months for the eShop to arrive, for example. Psychology 101.
@uel @mamp Instead of holding your hand, this time our good doctor will now play the role of a devilish coach to hone your memory and other brain skills (while keeping your adrenaline pumpin' by freaking you out), hence the devil face.
For those of you who rant about not being able to see two or three letters on their folders, keep in mind that Japanese 3DS users can use kanji (complex Chinese characters). So, what would happen if the folder were to show more kanji? They'd look like an ugly pile of blob, or 20 English letters squeezed together. Here's an example I made (highlighted in red): http://i48.tinypic.com/166lm51.jpg In short, one-character is the way to go, end of story. Incidentally, what you're seeing above is some Japanese amateur novelist's genius attempt to compose a story using the folders
@sillygostly and to all the peeps above saying Swapnote blocks Freakyforms etc, it's only because the image file is too large. Here's a trick, use Pokedex 3D's background snapshot function (set opacity to 99%) and resave, that will reduce the file size and should work for Swapnote, although the 3D will be lost.
Additional observation (might worth putting in the FAQ): Once you start the game, if you are inactive for two minutes, even at the pause screen, the game will automatically end. I found out the hard way when I paused my game (but left my 3DS open) to answer the phone. If you want to pause, CLOSE THE LID.
@Hyperstar96 How were you able to ask about "30 plays/minutes" if you hadn't seen the second page? You were somehow aware of the number "30", which is not even on the first page. Even the comments like @5 and mine mentioned "30 plays/times".
@fpssoviet @Nilkad_Naquada Like what sinalefa and this article said, the play count is stored with your eshop account, so the number of plays will not go back to 30 even if you redownload. The only way to "cheat" is not to turn it off.
@Tonnie_gAmEr25 What makes you think it will EXPIRE at 12 est? Read it again. It simply means 9 pst = 12 est. @Geonjaha Refuse to open.
And here's a trick, since "30 times" means "30 accesses", you can keep the game in sleep mode and replay as many times as you like in one go. Normally you'd get tired of it after only 3 accesses if you do it this way.
NOA is either implying 1. they have no way to patch MK7 because they managed to screw up the programming or 2. they are encouraging newcomers to learn about this glitch to level the playing field.
Incidentally, Nintendo Japan announced that this is a design and urged users to acknowledge the fact (i.e. deal with it). "Regarding the MK7 issue you raised in your feedback, we have confirmed that the shortcut exploit is indeed possible. People are free to speculate though, but I too oppose a Pokemon parody because trading in-game exclusive items just doesn't work in Zelda.
