Wreckfest is a title that's built up a fanbase on various platforms, and Switch owners will finally be able to see what the fuss is about when it launches on 21st June.
A new trailer has been released to promote pre-orders opening on the eShop, and like the previous announcement video it showcases some Switch footage. It looks decent in these clips, which is notable as this game has such a big focus on destruction and physics; if performance holds up it could be a lot of fun.
The press release with the new trailer also outlines pricing on the additional 'season packs' that will be available to expand the game.
Wreckfest gives you the chance to get creative when you wreck your friends online in an up to 16-player multiplayer mode as well as in offline tournaments whether you pick a lawn mower, school bus or crop harvester – this game is all about having fun and aiming for demolition dominance.
The Nintendo Switch™ version offers two acquirable season packages additionally to the base game: Season 1 package includes 20 crazy and iconic vehicles, 20 insane roof decorations, and a car customization pack with new armor, rims, and more and costs $ 14.99 / € 14.99 / £ 11.99. Season 2 package grants you access to 12 additional cars for $ 12.99 / € 12.99 / £ 9.99. SRP for the digital edition of the base game is $ 39.99 / € 39.99 / £ 34.99. Season packs are sold separately.

I'll see how it runs first but glad the base game is at a sensible price.
Digital onlyI guess? I haven't seen it anywhere for preorder physically...
Played this on my PS4.
Brilliant racer that deserves your attention.
Great fun, you can't beat couch racing and I mean that literally.
@BANJO
www.thegamecollection.net has it for pre-order physically in the UK.
I have brought other THQ games on the Nintendo Switch and regretted it so awaiting reviews. It's a oldish game so sucks it's not a definitive edition with all the DLC. Does the base game even have much content?
Can't imagine this looking or performing great on the Switch, and that cinematic trailer didn't inspire any real confidence as it lacked actual gameplay footage.
Who knows, this could be one of those miracle ports, but I would definitely wait for the feedback as I know my PS4 has struggled with it at times.
@turnmebackwards Thanks, good to see it looks like it's getting a physical release. Yes, certainly wait for a review first. If it is a good port the base game would still be a good buy. I've played it on my Xbox One X and it was a blast but even the developers said they have had issues porting it over to Switch..
Hopefully these have been resolved now, but wait to see footage and a review first before buying..
Have it on Steam. It’s a fun game, so it might be something worth dipping into the Switch when it’s on sale.
One of my favourite games on Xbox Series S despite occasional performance issues. TBH I feel the developers should be fixing these issues before working on a port on a less powerful system. But you know, I guess there's plenty of money to be made even with a shaky port to the less powerful Switch.
