This is not true. If Nintendo allowed Melee piracy and mods to run rampant, that could lure people away from Ultimate, the game Nintendo is selling and supporting at this time. You can't pretend that wouldn't hurt anyone.

@SeantheDon29 Not entirely true. There are illegal ways to run an emulator and mods. The Big House took pirated ISO copies of Melee, ran modded versions on an emulator, and tried to profit from it, going against Nintendo's policy. Nintendo warned them about this, The Big House refused to comply, and got a C&D as a result.

Where's the "fanboyism" in trying to protect your IP?

@hotgamer77 The Game Boy sales are actually the combined sales of the original Game Boy plus the Game Boy Color. Individually, the 3DS has outsold both.

1. Winning a league doesn't undo the overall terrible writing of the character.
2. Seeing that Ash's goal has literally no end in sight, I think Go's being a bit more productive overall in filling out the Pokédex.
3. It's not hard to be a better guy than Ash, which is what Red's done.
4. Ash is horrible in both the original and the dub. His voice is grating because he has far outstayed his welcome in the show.

The best thing that can be done to the Pokémon anime is to let it die.

@holygeez03 @Blooper987 @JetSetRennie I don't really buy the explanation that Punch-Out is a puzzle or rhythm game. Tons of action games require you to read the AI of an opponent like Punch-Out, and hitting them at the right time. Using your logic, you can call Zelda bosses puzzles, yet no one describes them as such.

@Sinton Probably little, if anything. A DVD feature did not prevent the original Xbox from getting demolished by the PS2, and there's no reason to think it would've done anything to help the Dreamcast combat piracy or the GameCube's kiddy image.

It's shocking to see people downplay the Switch's success. What kind of sales would impress you then? Combined DS+Wii sales? No console (or console + handheld) has ever done that.
