Re: Bandai Namco Is Changing Its Logo In 2022

Dinglehopper

What almighty marketing god decided that all company logos need to be remade to become a dull, soulless husk version of the previous one?

Like, I've never heard anyone praise a remade logo and all I've ever heard are people saying how much they hate simple logos yet companies insist of simplifying and taking a steamy dookie all over their legacy. I don't get it? Who are they appealing to? Doesn't seem like it's the customer?

Re: A New Kirby Game Just Leaked On Nintendo Japan's Website

Dinglehopper

@KateGray This is exactly what I was thinking lol. Nintendo themselves already put the games existence out there in the wild. They prematurely announced it and news websites are merely reporting on it.

By the way, the games name actually translates to 星のカービィ:ディスカバリー which just means "Kirby of the Stars: Discovery"

Re: Mario Kart Tour Teases New Event Ahead Of Its 2nd Year Anniversary Next Week

Dinglehopper

Just a reminder that MK8 released 7 years ago on the Wii U and we haven't had a proper new console release since.

Switch really deserved a new entry, but I guess Nintendo was all about rehashing and porting all their Wii U titles over so they could make up for loss profits. The Switch really is a glorified Wii U emulator with a huge portion of it's first party library not even being new content.

Re: Random: A Rogue Space Particle Could Be Responsible For This Unsolved Super Mario 64 Speedrun Glitch

Dinglehopper

I always remember playing Diddy Kong Racing as a kid and one day when I booted it up my file had everything unlocked and all the space levels were usable. My sister and I were so excited about it that we stayed up and played it all night. The next time I turned the game on, my file was back to normal.

I never understood what happened back then but now I'm starting to wonder if it was a similar situation to this SM64 upwarp glitch

Re: Random: Donkey Kong Blows? Of Course, And It's All Down To Shigeru Miyamoto

Dinglehopper

Miyamoto is a hack. People need to stop praising him like he's a genius or treating him as the Hayao Miyazaki of video games. He's ruined SO many games and constantly denies people creative freedom and liberty so he can instead implement his garbage, worthless ideas. He needs to leave the gaming industry. He hasn't contributed to it in any meaningful way since the NES days and only negatively affects any game projects he helps out with. Hell, he almost even completely ruined Ocarina of Time. His ideas all suck sh*t and as time goes on I've come to realize the games "he created" were only successful due to the people actually making and developing them, not him.

Miyamoto sucks.

Re: Random: Rapper Soulja Boy Claims He Owns Atari, Atari Doesn't Agree

Dinglehopper

This is what happens when an uneducated moron becomes a millionaire. They don't understand anything about the financial world or legal system, nor do they understand what to do with their money.

So they say things like "I own Atari", clearly showing they don't understand what they even own. Or they make things like bootleg handheld systems preloaded with copyrighted ROMs and think it's legally allowed to do so.

Goes to show just how dumb and messed up the world is when an actual criminal and horrible person like him is living it up just because he makes music

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.11.0 Patch Notes - Seasonal Events, Fixes And More

Dinglehopper

@Themagusx1 It doesn't bother me that people enjoy New Horizons. I've played 300+ hours myself. But what bothers me is people ignoring all it's short comings and acting like it has "so much content". You can enjoy something and still acknowledge its flaws.

But as usual, the "New Horizons Defense Force" doesn't listen to logic and gets upset over anyone wanting the game to improve.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.11.0 Patch Notes - Seasonal Events, Fixes And More

Dinglehopper

@sanderev Well, good for you, but theres always the "New Horizons Defense Force" in every article too. The people who ignore all flaws in the game and say "I'm having a GREAT time, I have 500000+ hours and STILL find stuff to do".

New Horizons is "Baby's First Animal Crossing". It's obvious when its someones first entry in the series because they wouldn't be defending the games lack of content if they had played literally any other entry lol

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.11.0 Patch Notes - Seasonal Events, Fixes And More

Dinglehopper

This game had so much potential and made SO much money and yet Nintendo is still giving us the most bare bones updates possible. Like, wtf is this treatment?

I'm glad I dropped the game a year ago. I ran out of stuff to do due to the severe lack of content compared to previous entries. I also didn't finish my town because I thought we would be getting new buildings. So much for that.

Also, why haven't we gotten amiibo cards for the new villagers yet? Seriously? They released and added the Sanrio villagers but not the new ones? How will people ever get the new villagers without paying someone online an absurd amount of in game money or nook tickets? Nintendo dropping the ball with this game...

Re: Random: Possibly The Rarest Nintendo e-Reader Card Ever Has Been Found

Dinglehopper

@RupeeClock Nah, it'll go to some collector who has no interest in preservation and they'll let the card sit in some storage container until they feel like reselling it again in 8 years.

Yay for online auctioning! Really wish the original seller would have sent it away to preservationists before selling it online. Why do people who own rare prototypes or games refuse to let people dump the games? It won't drop the value of their product at all. People still want to own the physical cartidges

Re: 25 Seconds Of New EarthBound 64 Footage Emerges Online

Dinglehopper

To be honest, im pretty glad the game didn't turn out this way. I much prefer the GBA aesthetic and sprites. Something about the graphics and the way the game looks is just so......gross. It gives off a creepy or eerie vibe even though I know it's not trying to. The 64DD version doesn't scream "MOTHER series" to me either.

Nonetheless, it's really cool to see what could have been if this game had released on N64. It would have undoubtedly been a massive flop due to the DDs failure. Cool stuff

Re: Where To Pre-Order Nintendo Switch OLED Model

Dinglehopper

Would have actually cared if this was the prophesied switch pro. This has got to be one of the biggest let downs in terms of upgrades for a Nintendo handheld/console. New Nintendo 3ds was legitimately better than this and that's saying something

Re: Here's How Nintendo Is Improving Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Over The Wii Original

Dinglehopper

80 dollars for very minor QoL improvements in the most mediocre zelda game of all time? I'll pass. Skyward Sword had too many core issues that make me never want to replay it again. Nothing can fix those. It was a huge disappointment then and is a huge disappointment now.

If I REALLY wanted to replay it I would play it on Dolphin. I'm not giving Nintendo 80 dollars for an f-ing Wii port, no matter what game it is.
