"Fixed an issue where you could obtain turnips countless times from Joan in the hospital."
Well, I'll make sure to become a billionaire first before updating like others have using duplication glitches. It's the only realistic way to become rich in this game unfortunately
Are people actually upset by her new model and think it's "less sexy"? It's clearly an upgrade in everyway. Her having more muscle definition is actually sexier imo (and makes sense) and now she's even caked up. Are men afraid of women that stay fit or something?
I mean, all I'm seeing in the tweets of people not knowing what a GameCube is are zoomer females. No surprise there when their main obsessions are tiktok and instagram.

"For all the Nintendo simps having a panic attack."

@Lyricana exactly! Pretty absurd to think this was intentionally meant to look like Mario at all (which it doesn't). This reminds me of when people think they see a face in a rock wall texture in a video game when in reality it's just your mind playing tricks
What almighty marketing god decided that all company logos need to be remade to become a dull, soulless husk version of the previous one?
Like, I've never heard anyone praise a remade logo and all I've ever heard are people saying how much they hate simple logos yet companies insist of simplifying and taking a steamy dookie all over their legacy. I don't get it? Who are they appealing to? Doesn't seem like it's the customer?
This might be Bayonettas best look yet! While I'm not a fan of the butt cover (as we all know, she's know for hers) but her face is gorgeous! Now I want to get into the series
@KateGray This is exactly what I was thinking lol. Nintendo themselves already put the games existence out there in the wild. They prematurely announced it and news websites are merely reporting on it.
By the way, the games name actually translates to 星のカービィ:ディスカバリー which just means "Kirby of the Stars: Discovery"
Just a reminder that MK8 released 7 years ago on the Wii U and we haven't had a proper new console release since.
Switch really deserved a new entry, but I guess Nintendo was all about rehashing and porting all their Wii U titles over so they could make up for loss profits. The Switch really is a glorified Wii U emulator with a huge portion of it's first party library not even being new content.
Why is there still no new info on this game despite it coming out in nearly a month? We don't even know what the other maps are yet nor do we know the playable characters. Seems kind of weird tbh
I always remember playing Diddy Kong Racing as a kid and one day when I booted it up my file had everything unlocked and all the space levels were usable. My sister and I were so excited about it that we stayed up and played it all night. The next time I turned the game on, my file was back to normal.
I never understood what happened back then but now I'm starting to wonder if it was a similar situation to this SM64 upwarp glitch
Miyamoto is a hack. People need to stop praising him like he's a genius or treating him as the Hayao Miyazaki of video games. He's ruined SO many games and constantly denies people creative freedom and liberty so he can instead implement his garbage, worthless ideas. He needs to leave the gaming industry. He hasn't contributed to it in any meaningful way since the NES days and only negatively affects any game projects he helps out with. Hell, he almost even completely ruined Ocarina of Time. His ideas all suck sh*t and as time goes on I've come to realize the games "he created" were only successful due to the people actually making and developing them, not him.
These card packs are way too expensive considering you only get 5 villager cards. Also the new villagers made for New Horizons are STILL not made into amiibo cards yet.
No thanks Nintendo. Without any significant updates to the game and considering the price, this is an easy pass
The game looked so high quality. I'm surprised they even bothered making it a "Metroid" game. The outcome was inevitable. They should have made it into their own IP and sold the game on steam. I would have bought it and I'm certain the game would have sold well
I hope the game ends up with a modding community and they mod back in the cut costumes. I can see the Zelda and Samus costumes getting modded in for sure!
Wow, so it sold for an actual price based on its rarity?
I'm glad it was! I'd rather that than an artificially inflated price schemed up by a bunch of rich people connected to some grading company deemed "important" for sealed games. Not to mention an auction site used by a bunch of rich scammers trying to artificially increase the value to become even richer.
This is what happens when an uneducated moron becomes a millionaire. They don't understand anything about the financial world or legal system, nor do they understand what to do with their money.
So they say things like "I own Atari", clearly showing they don't understand what they even own. Or they make things like bootleg handheld systems preloaded with copyrighted ROMs and think it's legally allowed to do so.
Goes to show just how dumb and messed up the world is when an actual criminal and horrible person like him is living it up just because he makes music
Oh right, THIS game. Totally forgot it existed. All I remember about it is that the writing was trying REALLY hard to be edgy and it came off as super cringy.
@Vexx234 the whole game is built around it. Not really something you can undo unfortunately. We all just have to accept the fact that Skyward Sword will always be a mediocre entry, no matter how much has "changed".
This wouldn't be that much of a problem if it hadn't increased the price of vintage games altogether. Now it's way too expensive of a hobby if you want to actually play retro games on their original consoles.
@Themagusx1 It doesn't bother me that people enjoy New Horizons. I've played 300+ hours myself. But what bothers me is people ignoring all it's short comings and acting like it has "so much content". You can enjoy something and still acknowledge its flaws.
But as usual, the "New Horizons Defense Force" doesn't listen to logic and gets upset over anyone wanting the game to improve.
@sanderev Well, good for you, but theres always the "New Horizons Defense Force" in every article too. The people who ignore all flaws in the game and say "I'm having a GREAT time, I have 500000+ hours and STILL find stuff to do".
New Horizons is "Baby's First Animal Crossing". It's obvious when its someones first entry in the series because they wouldn't be defending the games lack of content if they had played literally any other entry lol
This game had so much potential and made SO much money and yet Nintendo is still giving us the most bare bones updates possible. Like, wtf is this treatment?
I'm glad I dropped the game a year ago. I ran out of stuff to do due to the severe lack of content compared to previous entries. I also didn't finish my town because I thought we would be getting new buildings. So much for that.
Also, why haven't we gotten amiibo cards for the new villagers yet? Seriously? They released and added the Sanrio villagers but not the new ones? How will people ever get the new villagers without paying someone online an absurd amount of in game money or nook tickets? Nintendo dropping the ball with this game...
@RupeeClock Nah, it'll go to some collector who has no interest in preservation and they'll let the card sit in some storage container until they feel like reselling it again in 8 years.
Yay for online auctioning! Really wish the original seller would have sent it away to preservationists before selling it online. Why do people who own rare prototypes or games refuse to let people dump the games? It won't drop the value of their product at all. People still want to own the physical cartidges
To be honest, im pretty glad the game didn't turn out this way. I much prefer the GBA aesthetic and sprites. Something about the graphics and the way the game looks is just so......gross. It gives off a creepy or eerie vibe even though I know it's not trying to. The 64DD version doesn't scream "MOTHER series" to me either.
Nonetheless, it's really cool to see what could have been if this game had released on N64. It would have undoubtedly been a massive flop due to the DDs failure. Cool stuff
I actually own what is considered to be one of the rarer e-reader cards out there. It's the Kirby FoxBox puzzle card that was only available in a few select magazine issues. It's so uncommon that it's usually not even listed on eBay lol
While I don't actually like skyward sword, I can at least commend Nintendo for fixing SOME of the really annoying problems the OG game had. Still not buying it though. SS has too many problems that can't be fixed at all and are just a result of its overall mediocrity
........ but it's just a regular Mario 64. It's not even special or rare. This artificial inflation has just reached absurd levels. I'm glad I got out of the retro gaming scene and moved onto emulation. Theres no way I'm ever buying a retro game again , especially from some seller who'll overcharge for something that should only be worth 20 dollars
Would have actually cared if this was the prophesied switch pro. This has got to be one of the biggest let downs in terms of upgrades for a Nintendo handheld/console. New Nintendo 3ds was legitimately better than this and that's saying something
80 dollars for very minor QoL improvements in the most mediocre zelda game of all time? I'll pass. Skyward Sword had too many core issues that make me never want to replay it again. Nothing can fix those. It was a huge disappointment then and is a huge disappointment now.
If I REALLY wanted to replay it I would play it on Dolphin. I'm not giving Nintendo 80 dollars for an f-ing Wii port, no matter what game it is.
Remember, when you actually buy from a scalper, you're part of the problem. Please restrain yourself. You don't need that collector's edition that badly
Is it going to be a new entry? If so, that's awesome!! I love that square is finally pushing the mana series again. Sort of just fell off the map for a while there
@VoidofLight It's almost worse than an early access game. At least they receive significant updates after a year. Meanwhile ACNH feels nearly identical to when it first came out lol. It's even worse when you consider just how well the game has sold
I spent a lot of time playing this game, but its easily the most barebones Animal Crossing to date. It's missing so many key things that made the older entries so enjoyable.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say this game feels like early access
