Still missing some of those elusive Animal Crossing amiibo cards? Well, today's your lucky day.
Nintendo has announced that the original Animal Crossing Series 1-4 amiibo cards are being restocked across the US this month. Starting from "early September", packs will once again begin appearing in Target stores for $5.99 each, all including five regular resident cards and one special character card.
As you may already know, these cards can be used in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – you can use them to invite your favourite residents to your island, or pop on over to Harv's island to take fun photos.
You'll also find those special Animal Crossing Sanrio collaboration packs at Target, again priced at $5.99. Each of those includes six amiibo cards with Animal Crossing residents inspired by popular Sanrio stars like Hello Kitty, Pompompurin and Cinnamoroll. You can find more info on how to use these in your game here.

Sigh.
Nintendo's a little late to their own party on this one.
If there isn't a MAJOR animal crossing update on the September direct, this is a terrible idea.
Well I'm about to be 24 bucks poorer.
I am still playing about 20 minutes every day. I simply love the game play loop, and i like my island.
Thanks for this article, i may just buy the cards to get Shep, my favorite from New Leaf.
Just gave in last month and finally bought some "backup" nfc copies online...
These card packs are way too expensive considering you only get 5 villager cards. Also the new villagers made for New Horizons are STILL not made into amiibo cards yet.
No thanks Nintendo. Without any significant updates to the game and considering the price, this is an easy pass
Well I guess I am heading to target this weekend.
Hope we get those in Sweden too, now it’s 2 villagers + 1 special for about $6, or $9 in some outlets…
Sounds like the amiibo cards in the packs are randomized. Isn't this gambling for dlc?
Just in time eh? Interested to know how many people are still playing ACNH. I wish Nintendo would focus on some meaningful updates, otherwise this will be shelved & forgotten, just like City Folk.
I wish they arrive to Mexico, but seeing how we only got Series 1 and 2 back in 2015, I'm not too optimistic.
doesn't matter which country these get released in the F'ing scalpers and Gamestop employees will snatch up every bit of them and charge outrageous amounts for these. How do you kill that kind of problem over flood the market with these and keep them 100% in stock ALL the time, its that simple.
Thank God for TagMo, that's all I'll say.
I hate Blind-Packs!
And Cards are just kinda boring.
Then there's the fact that they (Nintendo) never released the binders here in the USA.
650 cards, 5 random cards per pack, $6+tax per pack...
No thanks, never getting into the amiibo cards!
I'm only missing FIVE smash amiibo though.
Hopefully I come across them...
@WoomyNNYes
Yes.
Do, theoretically, you could buy two or three entire boxes and still not have every card!
Good because the Scalpers are now crying $$$....
The UK would be nice, also for another run of the Sanrio cards... oh, and what about the albums themselves?!
so I've just figured out that the US get packs of 6 cards, whilst we in the UK only get 3, and with exchange rates as they are, its about the same price, what the fudge is that all about
