There was a time in the 90's before Pokemon when Game Boy was supposedly "done" and the games where discounted heavily, including this one. I could have picked it up for nothing then, but there was no Nintendo Life to recommend it, and just looking at the back of the box didn't convince me that it was a great game.
I notice it once in a while in Animal Crossing, when my islander mysteriously turns another direction on his own. I think Nintendo has tried to correct it through firmware updates, and mostly with success, I'd say.
I received notice from Amazon (US) on Saturday at 4:02 AM that I would receive the refund of $10.83. If they had done nothing at all, I probably would not have complained, since I didn't know there was a discount.
I had to go look at the cards in my Switch game case, and there they were, all these big "E" symbols, except for Tukok and Ninja Saviors, which are "M" and "T".
My official guide book should be the ultimate reference, but there have been many feature updates since it was published. It doesn't even have the art gallery.
Before starting this project, I'd suggest reading the whole guide first. I know it seems like a lot, but it's fairly straightforward if you just take it one step at a time, especially if you know the context of each step (having read ahead). I appreciate all the work that went into the guide, even explaining things that are second nature to a modder, like how to not strip a screw thread.
The only thing I need for an Ironwood Kitchenette is the recipe for an Ironwood Dresser, which you can get from a Snooty villager, which I don't have. Time to break out the amiibo cards...
I had to give up on the Color Picross in Lord of the Nazarick, also made by Jupiter, because I can't readily distinguish some of the colors. Is there a color blind mode in S4?
I always thought the Tengen version was better... until I played it. I still prefer the NES version (not Famicom), but Tetris DS is better still. Tetris Effect on PSVR has too many distracting elements to be a great Tetris game.
The duplication glitch was useful only for those who wanted to be first at everything in their YouTube posts. If that's the way you actually play the game, then you're probably not having fun.
That rolling landscape effect was first used in Wild World, and was not in the Gamecube version. Do they just fill these reviews with errors and then not correct them, even after 11 years?
I still like the GC version best. It seems to more effectively connect the game world and real world. Why does Wild World just display the (mostly) empty sky on the top screen? Seems like a waste.
Isn't that EVERY screen protector, not just the best? Anyway, I got the Orzly glass 2-pack, and it worked out quite well. Except for the cutout for the light sensor, it seems like it's not even there.
I'm not surprised. Everyone knows the 3DS was a step back from the best 2D handheld ever, the DSi XL. I still regret transferring my DSiware games to the 3DS.
At least they didn't change the one thing that worked in the original PS3 release: the box cover! I played the PS3 demo when I saw this was coming to Switch. Time travel is a bit of a forced gimmick in this game. While dropping a rock on a switch would be the most obvious way to keep a door open, you must instead time travel so your past (or future?) self must stand on the switch. Simple!

Re: Poll: Which Was Your First 'Final Fantasy'?
I think Nintendo was giving away FF games for the NES with NP subscriptions. The first FF was almost the last.
Re: Music Review: Fair Winds & Following Seas - An Ambitious Rendition Of A Zelda Masterpiece
That's really cool how they get the sound of horns from strings.

Re: Toki Tori For Game Boy Color Is Being Re-Released, 20 Years Later
@NerdyBoutKirby The 3DS has both the GBC original and also a greatly improved 3D remake.
Re: Talking Point: Was The GameCube Really A Portable Console In Disguise?
The Wii U, obviously. The screen was INSIDE the controller! The only wire required is from the power supply.
Re: Gallery: Is The Panasonic Q The Most Goshdarn Beautiful Nintendo Console Of All Time?
Beauty really is only skin deep; the inside of this thing is a nightmare!

@JimmySpades 38.

Re: YouTube Doesn't Seem To Work In The Wii U Browser Anymore
I forgot the Wii U even had a browser. I have used the 3DS browser to watch YouTube videos of Virtual Boy gameplay in 3D.

You can get a high quality scan of the original manual and maps from Nintendo. Just search "nes classic manuals".

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #46 - Sonic The Hedgehog 3
Japan was still using the confetti-inspired art from the first game. Europe seems to be all about the hand. I choose NA.
Re: Feature: Every Nintendo Switch Online NES Game Ranked
It's hard to play Super Mario Bros. 3 and feel that it is, in any way, limited by its platform.
Re: Video: Performance Is "Still An Issue" In The Switch Version Of The Wonderful 101
In addition to the 720p TV output, the Wii U was driving the gamepad display. I wonder how it would have handled 1080p without the gamepad screen.
Re: Random: Do You Know About Super Mario Bros.' Secret Game Over Continue Trick?
Everybody who played this game in the late 80's new this, afaik.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #40 - Mega Man
I almost voted NA out of pity... Almost.

Re: Nintendo "Unwilling" To Confirm If 88-Year-Old Grandma Has Her Own Character In Animal Crossing
I agree that there may be a legal aspect to it. Also, Nintendo shouldn't have to explain the naming of any character in any of their games to anyone.

Without the interactive Mario piece, this would be the worst Lego kit ever.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.1.3 Patch Notes - Update Fixes An Annoying Bug

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #32 - Sonic The Hedgehog
For a character that's known for running, you should be able to see his feet, right? NTL, NA's my hood, so I gotta pick Genesis.

Re: A New Paid Membership Service Is Being Added To Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
