While palworld is pretty shameless with its ideas stolen from pokemon I think comparing it to a straight up pokemon bootleg is a bit unfair

These have been "rumored" ever since Sakurai mentioned the idea. It's not impossible it turns out real but why didn't they appear on the leaked model? I guess they could do a joycon pro I guess?

not too surprising with plza seeming to release later in the year than pla did. as to khu id take with a lot of salt, hes not fake but clearly he was way off the mark with gen 5 info so either it was a fake leak by gamefreak to catch insiders or was shelfed/scrapped. he did however seem to know plza was what would be revealed on pokemon day ahead of time.

Rather than release third versions I think gamefreak just needs to make the base game more competent

i really want the exposed arm that comes with the dx but i'd have to pay double for a ton of other accessories I'd never use lol

its nor that surprising, with so much controversy surrounding it agencies would expect it to impact the image of anyone who endorses

I really miss cartridge variation whether different colors, clear, metallic, it made each game feel a little more unique. Could be a cool incentive for collectors editions or preorder bonuses

If some of the more serious allegations towards mercury steam are true I could definitely see metroid being one of the series looking for new devs.

@Shiro28 there're been some minor bug fixes but only major fix is the loading time for pc box. The fps, visuals, "memory leak", player model glitches are unchanged, also since the teal mask update a new glitch makes the fps even worse.

Hopefully the bugs crashing the final fight and worse performance since 2.0.1 have been fixed but since they're not directly listed it feels like they might not have...

it just looked kinda meh. i dont think it was a marketing issue since it had an appearance at a pokemon presents and two directs, i think people just didn't really care. it feels likes it was supposed to release a while ago but for one reason or another it got stuck or shelved till now

What sucks is that generally nintendo titles are pretty snappy at fixing major bugs but gamefreak will take over an month to fix one and add a new major big in each update

Looks like a decent improvement over the main game but probably just gonna wait for the next game

Unless it somehow gets outstanding reviews I'm gonna skip the dlc. I haven't played the game since early December and probably won't pick it up again. Gamefreak has shown 0 signs of trying to make up for the rough launch and wouldn't be surprised if the "performance patch" never actually happens

I loved botw's mastermode and would like to see totk with similar changes such as golden enemies and some kind of improved version of the floating enemy platforms. They could put either a gleeok or a gloom spawn in the starting area

You can't really rely on the answer of one of the accused. Although we don't have much direct evidence of poor conditions, the multiple claims against them plus the now really terrible response definitely gives the accusations more credibility

The good game= good working evironment is extra ironic because of how bad the conditions were for super metroid and metroid prime

It makes sense if the devs wanted to do their own thing but the Sega statement sounds like bs since they made origins

Very solid successor to Danganronpa, my only issue is that some of the logic puzzles felt a unclear where somtimes it punished you for giving the right answer but other times didn't but never made it clear when you were supposed to.

It looks really bare bones with one having over a year to be developed, not like we'll see any big differences when it comes out.

I think totk got the most out of this map design, time for something all new for the next title

I think og dev's who's work was directly used in a remaster/remake should absolutely be credited However I just don't really believe in Just crediting all og devs for a project they aren't even working on.

I don't think modern cod titles are really worth the hassle but hd ports of the original modern warfare trilogy and first 2 black ops would be a great fit for the Console imo

I'm very divided, leading up to the release I was hyped to see what it'd be like and it just feels really underwhelming. I don't mind if graphics look a bit rough but a lot of areas genuinely look unfinished. The open world feels really hollow and the pokemon can only do so much to distract from that. The music and pokemon models are a welcome improvement though.

They compared the performance issues to the recent trailer meaning its probably the same or similar build however its important to note those issue never existed in the Japanese trailer so they likely won't be of concern. Still not good that a build that rough is the best they can do a month before release.

Hasbro has 4 great transformers games (armada, wfc, foc, and devastation) and its a massive missed opportunity to not have even one of them on switch or even just modern platforms

Absolutely Pokémon, gamefreak wants to release new content so frequently that making modern games is incredibly unrealistic so going further maybe have a big mainline game that gets expanded on for one or half of a console generation would probably work better.

I wonder if nintendo could be creating a new metroid team?

I've been wanting an update like this for a while, it's one thing to see what others are buying but seeing what they're playing the most is more helpful when looking for new games

The sinnoh remakes felt like a let down since they were revealed, I've always wanted sinnoh remakes and I was hoping to see it done like sword and shield or let's go. I guess Only Pokémon can sell bdsp at $60 that look like those bootleg mobile games and have people defend it to the death

Having retro games as part of a subscription feels like it's been a failure for Nintendo when compared to how much better the wii u's virtual console was, it'd be a mess of a transition but I feel like they should just ditch the game subscription and make the animal crossing (and likely other future dlc) that's part of the premium subscription as part of the regular one to replace the retro games

I dont really have much interest in paying $50 for what they're currently offering but they'lll probably add more stuff eventually

I highly doubt this, why would nintendo want genesis so badly? It doesn't have any demand of that of nintendo's retro games so why not just launch it with something like gameboy?

damn that's way more than expected, I thought it was going to be 10 or 15 more not 30. that asking price better go to the funding/development of other consoles being added like gameboy-gameboy advance and maybe gamecube

metroid has always performed kinda poorly but imagine if dread not only is the best selling metroid game but ends up winning game of the year.

the oled was datamined roughly a year or so before it was released so don't expect anything new soon. i think the other parts of the report were technically true but those were probably about talks regarding what their next console should do. anyone claiming that nintendo will release a pro model within the next 1 year or so is full of *****

i definitely think it's a possibility, maybe they'll wait to see how dread performs or maybe just to stall time for prime 4

i dont think it's gonna happen anymore. digital foundry made a pretty good article about how what likely happened is that the rumored specs are probably from talks within nintendo about next-gen hardware and got confused with the oled which reports accurately predicted including the bigger screen.

if switch pro were to happen it would make sense for nintendo to wait to launch it with a 1st party game that could really take advantage of it, metroid dread in 4k 60fps would be nice but it'd be dramatically more noticeable for a game like botw2. at the end of the day oled doesn't have enough to make me want to upgrade(might cave though if they made a metroid dread themed one)

for those on the fence, i'd just wait a little longer: there was a claim a few months ago that the x1 mariko might end production this year which might mean we'll see a refresh for all models sometime in the first half of next year, it might not be 4k 60fps good but will probably be a noticeable improvement. another possibility is that an oled model with a stronger chip is happening anyway, the current oled is just for those who want a better handheld experience without a stronger chip to reduce cost, kinda like the ps5 with or without the blu ray player.

@EpicFusion47 yeah if it does happen my best guess as to why they haven't shown it is because they didn't want to overshadow the game reveals

the switch lite was revealed a month after e3, so if a pro isn't revealed sometime this month then we probably wont see one for quite some time

we need return of samus and fusion either on the switch or a game and watch sytem

id say its well worth it, the graphics are pretty solid, the gameplay looks fun and being mercury steam like to play with perspective which is usually uncommon with metroidvanias due to the 2d nature and yet they make it seem rather seamless. whether it's truly worth it depends on how big it is, id be disappointing if it was smaller than previous metroid games
