Dragon Quest IX has to be one of my absolute favourite games of all time. The combination of a JRPG with custom characters with local multiplayer so you could team up with friends was totally epic. You could play through the whole story as a party, so much fun!

If he comes over to Nintendo hopefully we can see a game that does this again. It is the one type of game that I am really itching to get again.

It literally looks like the Pokédex screen from Sun and Moon.This could be them patenting an aspect of how the game will work on the Switch, specifically how we may interact with the Pokédex.

@fafonio Well it is certainly here in Australia. Stores have all of the kits and we can order replacement parts from Nintendo Australia and from their eBay store.

This guy has been proven to be making everything up. He has NO inside information. This "rumour" is old news and was disproven the beginning of this week.

@TheDragonDAFan It is more of the implications for the future. This can have long lasting repercussions for online play and competitive play in some games as well. Just look at what hacking has done to the competitive Pokémon scene. no one wants to join or play anymore and the top tier hackers do not understand why so few people play anymore. It is all down to hacking and PKHex.

@RichardZ Well here is some legal precedent to go along with it. Violating terms of service, whilst voiding your right to continue using the service, may not be illegal, the process of bypassing code-based structures can fall under computer-crime laws. (https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/07/court-violating-terms-service-not-crime-bypassing) I know this is in America, but still there is some precedent that this IS NOT a good thing to be doing.

@RichardZ @Heavyarms55 Hacking any game on a Nintendo console is against Nintendo's terms of service, both for their software and their hardware. There is a reason hundreds of people and their 3DSs bricked when they Sun and Moon came out, and more when they cracked down on hacked Pokémon on the GTS.

"Don't want to do anything harmful", immediately mentions hacking Pokémon and allowing PKHex to work on it; an illegal tool that has been extremely harmful to the competitive Pokémon community. Right.

I've thought that having amiibo Pokemon TCG cards would be awesome for a while now. It would allow for card games to be played through the switch with visual effects and everything. Would also allow for you to play with people online, which would be crazy cool.
This would probably be the only way Pokemon could be properly shown through amiibo as here are so many of them.

I have not seen much of this guy's work before but I certainly wish him the best and hope he recovers.

It's still hanging around here in Australia, however, they don't really carry video games anymore, mostly toys and baby stuff.

I remember going there as a kid to play in Pokemon TCG tournaments.

I'd expect an incoming Rivals of Aether announcement. Although it is probably overshadowed by Smash completely now unfortunately :/

The official website for Smash (http://www.smashbros.com/en_AU/index.html) lists it as Super Smash Bros (title pending) and it is being developed by HAL.

There is literally no reason why Capcom can not let them port Worlds to the Switch. It would give them some good Will from the Switch community for feeling abandoned and would surely give them a huge boost in sales.

I loved ZOIDS. I still have a couple of the models on my shelf. If this is a comeback for the franchise, sign me up!

This game has a wonderful soundtrack, especially some of the calmer night versions. I love the night version of Tantal, so snowy and peaceful.

@sandman89 I'm level 68/69 at the moment. I had a crack but got wiped out about half way through. I reckon I will be able to do it if I get up to 71ish. It's a pretty awesome fight.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2! Been loving this game and the over 100 hours I have put in. Up to the final boss now and looking forward to doing that tomorrow. Then I'll be ready for a 100% run on new game plus when it is released

I have to say, I reckon Xenoblade Chronicles 2 might actually be my GOTY for 2017. The characters and story have just been wonderful.

I see dragons I get interested. The closest thing to Harvest Moon I have ever played is Animal Crossing, but sounds like it could be cute and fun.

Looks like Nintendo's QoL stuff has already been released in secret. Hopefully the guy ends up being okay.

Whilst I'm not getting Labo (simply do not have the space for it unfortunately) they seem to be getting cooler and cooler!
Seeing all the insides of what make all the things work is just awesome. I especially like the waveforms and punchcard things for the piano. This really could end up as some sort of basic computer education device.

Spyro is something that I loved as a kid. If it does come this year and then to other platforms next year it would be awesome to play Spyro on the Switch.

Pretty cute. Would be a small and attractive way of offering some extra protection for Switch cartridges, whilst still showing the stellar box art that we've been getting.

So if Mitchell is Kong does that make Young Godzilla?

This new game plus definitely makes me want to get back to finishing the game and start off again. I didn't want to finish it yet as I wanted to do all the side-quests. But, if blades and levels carry over, and there are new things to find, I'd love to 100% new game plus instead!

From what I've read the Bandai Namco team in Singapore has recently been bolstered with a bunch of ex-LucasArts developers who were working on Star Wars 1313. It also seems like they're more helping with development as opposed to full on doing it with some input from Nintendo.

In any case bring on Metroid Prime 4!

Not really 100% sure what these games are, but they do seem interesting. Especially the first two. The art style looks pretty attractive, and the narrative following a diverse group cat people looks cute and fun. Will keep an eye on this.

It's always interesting to see games that look into psychological issues and I'm 100% behind spreading awareness. Looks like it could be a pretty cool game.

I've always thought visual novels are an interesting genre, especially when they come to the west. It's good to see that the original vision of the game/story isn't being compromised by censoring it.

@Galenmereth I also checked the funding platform and they've had a total of 81 people put money towards with a minimum donation of $250 US, which does not seem like a "we want to gauge interest" platform. Would have been better off with a Twitter poll or something if that was what they wanted to do.

I'm not too sure how I feel about already established companies using crowdfunding to get their games off the ground. It makes sense for groups like Yacht Club who didn't have anything beforehand to Kickstart Shovel Knight, but this just rubs me the wrong way somewhat.

Also, the fact that this seems to be based off of a pretty cheap looking mobile game seems a bit suss. I'll see how this project advances, but I don't think I'll be putting any backing towards it.

The GameCube is definitely one of my favourite pieces of gaming hardware. Nintendo really does have some real legends of video games amongst their ranks, and I'm sure they'll never be forgotten.

I'm genuinely excited for this movie, especially if it ends up being good. A live action Pokémon movie means that, not only do we get to see Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, but there will be a whole bunch of other Pokémon being shown in the real world with actual people, the whole idea just seems so cool.

I may be an adult, but I'll always be a child at heart for Pokémon!

@Robotron2084 It's kinda hard to seperate them, but I'd have to agree with saying that it has one of my favourite libraries, but the console itself was unfortunately flawed due to the tech at the time, in my opinion. That said it's stilled hooked up to the TV as the go-to Smash machine.

People on Twitter were saying it wasn't working on their iPhones either. Mind you, if you have to use an exploit to just access the internet browser on the Switch to run a web app it would be pretty amazing if it was functional enough to do so.

@Robotron2084 Which isn't much more than the number saying that they want to develop for the WiiU now. Poor WiiU, never got the love that it's games should have brought it.

Isn't it funny that more developers will develop for a platform that they know something about? It is great to see a good percentage of devs interested in the Switch though!

VR is pretty cool, but in the end I think AR will be the tech that continues into the future. It's less isolating and seems that big companies like Apple are pursuing it.

From that camera in the reveal trailer I had a thought. Labo Pokemon Snap! Have an actual camera and take pictures of Pokemon with the Nintendo Switch!

The official website has the variety pack listed as $69.99RRP in American dollars, so it's only $10 or more dollars than a regular game. And it comes with the cardboard, game, and a whole bunch of spare parts apparently (from the Labo website).
