If this is what they end up as I'll be pretty happy because a Water/Fairy final for Popilo is something I'd totally be onboard for. The only thing that I think is disappointing is that the Fire starter looks like is may be Fighting type AGAIN, which is a terrible idea. What happened to quadrupedal Pokemon?
@ThanosReXXX His first design is the type of design that is my ideal idea of what the NX could turn out to be, a shared game format that is available on handheld and being in full HD on the TV through the home console.
@Zanark I heard an explanation on YouTube by Gaijin Goomba as being the fact that Exeggutor may have Dragon Fruit on it as they have been flourishing in Hawaii, so it would be dragon type from that perhaps?
I think this Alolan form Pokemon idea is awesome! I've always liked Sandshrew, and this ice-type Ninetails is something I am definitely getting behind and using in game. It may not necessarily be the same as a brand new Pokemon, but these new forms look beautiful and it makes Pokemon seem more realistic in their adaptive natures.
@gamermole I'd seen your design in some previous posts and it looked pretty cool, but fitting mostly to the Eurogamer rumour, but this bit with the VR is a really interesting and creative concept! If a console could be handheld, home console through a base station, AND a VR device all in one that would be incredible!
I'm still not totally convinced by this lot of information. The concept behind the 2-player portable unit seems rather clunky, and I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere (not entirely sure where) that Nvidia isn't contributing to consoles anymore, which would leave the chips with AMD.
I do like the idea of a handheld component though that can connect with a "hub" station that allows it to output to a higher quality. But the way the hand held is described, and the controller separating for some strange reason, seems odd to me.
@YouSeemFRAZZLED As @MadAdam81 said, it's a problem where nearby Pokemon are shown to be always 3 steps away. It's a result of one of the updates released by Niantic. They apparently disabled or changed the way the Google Maps part of the game communicated with the server, supposedly it reduces the demand on the servers, which is helpful considering the over 75 million downloads this game has.
Sounds like something that, if you use your Pokemon Go account, could lead to you getting banned. The notifications on the wrist may be nice, and it is a way around the 3-step problem at the moment, but the exact pinpointing of Pokemon (am I interpreting that right?) sounds like something Niantic will probably frown upon.
I think it's pretty impressive how well their servers have been coping so far. I know there have been problems, and I've spent an hour or so attempting to get the game to load and connect on various occasions, but with millions of people playing this game at any stage I think it's incredible that they work as well as they do.
Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to some beefier servers for sure.
@Shiro28 I think it could 'plausibly' happen before Wind Waker's flood. We know the Hero of Time didn't return to save Hyrule and Ganon was able to rise and take over, but there is time between Ganon taking over Hyrule and it being sealed by the flood. What if BotW takes place during this time, which would mean Link is ultimately set up to fail, or possibly be the one who triggers the flood in the first place. The presence of the Koroks can only really be explained by it occurring on the Wind Waker timeline as they haven't appeared anywhere else.
@TheRegginator I'm not sure that's entirely true. All of the blue crystal technology was pretty important in the Lanayru Desert in Skyward Sword. The glow and patterns seems to match pretty well, that and the Sheikah stuff was pretty prevalent there as well.
I have a couple of theories of my own. My first thought was that it may actually be in that period before Wind Waker, as the Hyrule we are seeing isn't flooded in anyway, and could still explain the appearance of the Koroks. The between point where time line mentions Ganon being sealed away and then Hyrule flooding would be an interesting place to have the game. This holds up until the point where the Master Sword is located in the Sacred Grove in this game, as opposed to the Temple of Time/Hyrule Castle.
My second thought is that, it may be in the area around Zelda 1/2 as the map and inspiration are said to come from Zelda 1. This could explain Ganon's presence and the vast open world that is somewhat in disarray.

Re: Rumour: Articuno Has Been Caught in Pokémon GO
Apparently someone else has done this with a Ditto as well.
Re: Rumour: Concept Art Reveals the Final Evolutions of the Alola Starters
The appearance of Mallow in the images is a pretty strong point of these designs since they've been around the internet for a while now.

Re: Random: There Are Pokémon GO Players That Have Caught 'em All
A little over half way myself with 75. Still haven't seen any other stages of the starter Pokemon at almost level 19 :/

Re: Talking Point: Where Does The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Fit Into the Zelda Timeline?
@Shiro28 Not a problem. It's nice actually being able to use Zelda lore 😅
Re: Talking Point: Where Does The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Fit Into the Zelda Timeline?
@Shiro28 Whoops.
The Ruto, I think.
