Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 31st)

Oh well, I just found out about this thanks to your reply! I thought it was a complete experience... Anyway, I'm only three hours in, but I'm really appreaciating it! I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy (I hate Active Time Battle, and I really liked only Final Fantasy X), but Fantasian mixes a very classic jrpg experience with fresh mechanics that make random encounters interesting and not annoying. Futhermore, it's aesthetically great!

Re: Poll: What's The Best 2D Mario Game?

CooperFrank

My favourite one is Super Mario Bros. 3.
Anyway, New Super Mario Bros. U is very, very underrated. Its only "problem" was to be the fourth of its series, but, considered on its own, it is one of the most brilliant Mario games.

I absolutely agree: ports are good to keep game preservation through console generations; however, the pricing is the real problem. I remember how "New Play Control" games, such as Pikmin and Dk Jungle Beat, were released on Wii at a low price (no more than 40 euros, i'm sure). And behind them there was even the effort to adapt them to motion controls! The industry has changed, and Nintendo is no different.

I really don't understand those who say: "Well the price isn't a problem to me, because this is like a new game for me!"... But IT ISN'T A NEW GAME! It should be desirable for everyone to have a fair pricing of such ports. I really don't understand...

Re: Nintendo Appears To Be Pulling DSiWare Games From The 3DS eShop

I'll never understand who says "I've already played it/it's an old game/it's a small game... So it's no problem that it will vanish forever. Who cares about who would discover these games years later?"

This way of thinking is disrespectful for videogames as a medium, and for all the people that work behind them. Whenever something like this occurs, emulation is the only right way to choose.

Games preservation is a more and more important matter for our passion.

Re: Evidence Of Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version For Nintendo Switch Seemingly Uncovered

It could sound incoherent, but I prefer a future based on cloud gaming instead of a future based on digital delivery. They are both inevitable, but at least cloud gaming will finally make videogames available for all gamers, without hardware limitations, stupid console wars, "master races" etc.
There will be only games and everybody will enjoy them, even with a cheap PC or tablet.
