I could not care less about any of the Spirits or equipment regarding catching them.
Plus, I already have every single Spirit in the game so these rewards are pretty meaningless to me.
More Cuphead, less tat.
@Devann Unless you play the game every month you probably don’t have all the spirts. They add new ones to the game and not just the dlc ones.
@siavm You want a screenshot? I do play regularly and have all of the event spirits, including the ones from the most recent event from Kunio-Kun. It's not like it's difficult.
Honestly this is pretty useless,I gave up on the storyline a while ago cuz it was too long
I'd be surprised if this made anyone buy NSO. I would also be surprised if this made someone happy for subscribing. Interesting.
Dimitri, Claude and Edlegard's spirits are enhanceable so I'll do that when I download the set.
@Devann so you couldn’t care less about any of the spirits, yet you’ve taken what must be a tremendous amount of time to acquire all 1000+ of them?
I would love it if these were available absolutely free of charge. These NSO exclusive stuff is pretty ridiculous. I don't want to buy a Nintendo Switch Online membership just to get these Spirits. Sure, maybe I'll consider buying it, but the way Nintendo has it not running free is pretty ridiculous. Please bring back Nintendo Network!
@siavm
What self-respecting Smash player doesn't play every month for goodness sake?
I play almost every day.
I might be wrong but I think the article and the offer only states you get level up material and in games currency ...not new spirits
100 X large snack would be much better but whatever!
My gripe with this game is the DLC price tag ...that first pass should include everything Nintendo, Mii outfits etc or at least be around the £10 - £15 price range if another fighters pass was planned...
£46 for 10 + characters? Really? No one forces you but Nintendo really like preying on the compulsives recently.
@RID1EY Which is exactly why I no longer wanted to buy the game on Switch as soon as I heard it wouldn't be the ultimate version of the Wii U game that I already have, but just build upon it with new paid dlc and paid online. While it's been amazing to see what great stuff they added so far (that Cuphead is awesome), it was bound to be an expensive ride if you really want the ULTIMATE Smash game. And history taught me I get tired of playing Smash way too quickly. I'd want to have Cuphead in there when I saw it, but it wouldn't give the game new life for me.
kind of off-topic: recently started playing Super Daryl Deluxe. And with that timelessly out-of-style design, those perfectly ridiculous animations, and awesome moves that make no sense, I think he's the perfect character for a crossover fighting game. While he may not be quite legendary enough to be in Smash, he WOULD fit in nicely. And by that I mean him standing out and being the underdog would fit his character perfectly.
Seems like a nice little bonus for those that already have NSO, but definitely no incentive to buy it. Nice if you’re a younger player who got the game for Christmas/recently perhaps.
@KingBowser Nothing is exclusive to Online though, its just some level up tat you can earn in game at a fairly quick pace, every single Spirit what isn't related to DLC can be got in game for free with no Online sub.
To be honest I'm surprised it takes up 16MB. That's not a lot, obviously, but all these items are already in the game!
YO I GET 5 LARGE SNACKS? WHAT A STEAL!
@WallyWest So everything can be obtained via normal gameplay?
I have about a million spirit snacks and never use them, so I’ll pass.
@KingBowser Other then DLC characters and the Spirits what come from them all the Spirits in the game anyone can get and the only way to get them is playing the game. This thing is just a small booster of items what are very easily got in game, in fact i got more then what this pack is offering after an hour of play last night. Nothing is locked here its just Nintendo giving you some in game consumables for "free" if you're subbed to online.
I'm confused about that as well!
I've neglected my Smash copy
(especially the spirit board portion)
And don't get to follow the news as often these days..
Do special spirits make a return eventually, are they included in major software updates,
or did I miss my chance completely?
I didn't learn about the Resident Evil set until only recently.. :/
update
The way I'm reading it..
Dlc ones are the sets tied to their respective characters, correct? "Persona,FE,Banjo,FF.." ?
These are the only exclusive ones?
When is the Fighter Past 2 going to be released? I want to get it...I also want Cuphead and that floral song.
I said it last time, but I suppose I'll say it again. WHERE DA GOLD COINS?! Spirit Points are literally useless to me now and snacks? Really? I'll pass. I just need coins.
@WallyWest That makes sense.
@adh56 my thoughts exactly - @devann !? I’m confused.
@magnumc500 I think Pass 2 is up for preorder tomorrow, but no one knows when the first fighter will be out. Byleth and the recently announced Mii costumes like Cuphead are dropping tomorrrow too I think, right!?
Spirits are pretty underwhelming which makes the fact smash keeps pushing them is kinda upsetting.
@neogyo Honestly everywhere I see, including the announcement, says it would be available 01/28/20. Doesn't say a time but usually around noon time eastern the eShop updates. Still nothing.
Ah you’re right! Looks like this is the time sched tho so if yer in the UK it won’t be till tomorrow technically..
