Nintendo secured a prime location at the corner of Heroine Needle Way and Piles of Feces Avenue! Just remember to leave your car doors unlocked and your windows rolled down so the fine citizens who are entitled to up to $1000 of your property won't have to break any windows to get it.
I love this game so much but do not currently have a good way to play it. I normally play on DS lite with a GBA cartridge, but the shoulder buttons on the DS lite aren't working well. I really hope they put this on switch online.
I'm pleasantly surprised how well our original family switch is doing. My kids and I have really beaten it up over the last 5 years but it still works just fine. What a great device Nintendo made.
@Frank-The-Tank SM and ZM are significantly more non-linear than fusion. You can beat the bosses in any order, you can skip most major upgrades entirely, there are a ton of different routes to get where you want to go, etc. They are genuinely nonlinear, especially SM. I love fusion, but to say it is not that much more linear is a mistake IMO. Fusion's unique linearity is part of what makes it awesome.
I love this site and pretty much everything about it. However, I think this article shouldn't have been written. I think the only thing it accomplishes is that a few more people will illegally download the game. Its likely those people would find out about the leak elsewhere, but maybe not. I'm a metroid fan and this article is still the only place I've heard about this. I just wouldn't advertise that the whole game is now available online if you want to go find it.
I hope this doesn't come off as attacking anyone. I really do love this site and the people that make the content for us all. Cheers!
Fusion is great, but its not the greatest. IMO it is most harmed by not being able to skip Adam's dialogue on subsequent playthroughs. While I personally prefer the non-linearity of ZM and SM, Fusion truly did show that a linear metroid can be fantastic. Great article!
This looks so awesome. It looks they've gone all in to make an incredible metroid experience. I was glad to see the speedbooster and shinespark make an appearance at 1:13-1:16 after their absence in Samus Returns.
In addition to toning Fi down, I would like to see them get rid of a couple of the fetch quests, or find away to turn them into side quests. Maybe get rid of one of the Imprisoned fights. Those changes are starting to add up...
Thank you for the great article! That was a very fun and informative read. I can't wait for this game. I hope we get Sakamoto at his best here. His best is incredible. Unfortunately, Other M is on his resume so it isn't a totally sure thing. Nevertheless, I am optimistic.
I absolutely love the new Nintendo 3ds xl. It is one of my favorite systems of all time. While I voted for n3dsxl, the ds lite was a worthy choice as well.
IMO the golden age of gaming is your youth up to whatever time life stops being exciting. Games and gaming are better now than when I was a kid, yet overall I don't enjoy it as much because life isn't very exciting for me any more. Watching my children literally jump up and down with excitement about small things makes me miss the days when something could make me feel that way.
So even though I still like playing video games, nothing compares to the days of snes and nes for me because that was the most fun and exciting time for me. That was the golden age for me.
I love the buildup to E3. Every year I am determined to not get my hopes up for something I really want. Then, as the event approaches, I am unable to avoid getting my hopes up. Then, most years, after the event I feel a sense of crushing disappointment and vow never to get my hopes up again.
However, some years E3 is super rewarding (e.g. 2017). Fun times. This is just from my own point of view as I have my own peculiar hopes (metroid) and realize for many people who are more balanced than myself nintendo's E3 may leave them feeling excited most years.
I disagree that it was one of the best zeldas, secretly or otherwise. But it was a very creative game with some real bright spots. To me it was held back by the ocean palace and the fact that it was never able to make me stop wishing I could use the dpad.

Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Are In
I'm turned off by the gore. I've never understood why people find it appealing in games.

Re: Soapbox: I Hated Metroid: Zero Mission At First, Until I Loved It
I love this game so much but do not currently have a good way to play it. I normally play on DS lite with a GBA cartridge, but the shoulder buttons on the DS lite aren't working well. I really hope they put this on switch online.
Re: Poll: Breath Of The Wild Vs. Tears Of The Kingdom - Which Final Zelda Trailer Was Better?
@Cashews I also voted for the Botw trailer, but person judgments about which piece of art is "better" are strictly subjective.
Re: Soapbox: Why I Love Deepnest, Hollow Knight's Most Divisive Area
I got so tired of the environments in this game, and just bugs, bugs, and more bugs. That said, the movement in this game is fantastic.
Re: Metroid Prime Remastered Confirmed For Switch, Launching Digitally Today
This was an hour one purchase for me. It looks and plays fantastic!

Im glad Nintendo errs on the side of delaying a game to ensure quality.

These are both great covers. I give the edge to the Japanese cover.
Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Super Mario Sunshine Is Still The Best 3D Mario
I demand an apology!

I can't believe that FIFAr are finally ditching EA.
Re: Talking Point: If 1-2-Switch Sequel Rumours Are Somehow True, How Could Nintendo Improve It?
They could hardly make it more forgettable. My family absolutely loves the switch, but 1 2 switch got about 3 hours of total play.
Re: Talking Point: If Breath Of The Wild 2 Launched Alongside New Switch Hardware, Would You Upgrade?
I would definitely upgrade for botw2.
Re: Random: MercurySteam's Metroid Dread Game Award Finally Arrives At Its Office

Practically nobody cares, Americans included.
Re: Best Of 2021: 14 Wii Games That Deserve Switch Ports
Twilight Princess is the one I most want on switch. Or maybe Metroid Prime trilogy.
Re: Best Of 2021: 8 Games That Missed Nintendo Hardware
@Desrever What are the reasons SotN is not on the switch?
Re: Best Of 2021: 8 Games That Missed Nintendo Hardware
The final fantasy pixel remasters should have been on Switch, day 1. I think they will eventually end up there, but so far they aren't on Switch.
Re: Poll: What's The Worst Legend Of Zelda Game?
Blast those contrarians that vote the best Zelda games as the worst!

Re: Random: It Has Now Been 1,000 Days Since Metroid Prime 4's Development Was Restarted
I'm still basking in the glow of dread. It'll be quite a while before I whine about metroid.

I am so excited to play this game! Thanks for the review!

Re: New Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Footage Shows Off The Game's Autosave Feature
Several tweaks like that autosave feature could collectively improve the game quite a bit. I'm excited.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #87 - Metroid: Zero Mission
I think both covers are great. I give the nod to the Japanese version. I love the silhouette of zero suit Samus and the presence of metroids.

Re: Metroid 5 Is Coming To Switch As Metroid Dread, And It's 2D
YES! My biggest desire at E3 is for new metroid info. A whole name game launching this year is a dream come true.
Re: Best Game Boy Advance (GBA) Games
I was thrilled to see Metroid Zero Mission and Fusion spots 1 and 3. Overall a great list. The gba had a great library.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 5th)
I'll be playing some super metroid.

Thundar Switch

Re: "Several" New SteamWorld Games Are Currently In Development
I loved the dig games. I'd love to see a new one, but iirc the dig planet exploded in the last game.

Re: Feature: Best NES Games
That was a fun read. There are some surprising omissions, from my perspective. Of the top 10, only duck hunt doesn't belong IMO.
Re: Talking Point: The Problem With The X Button
My solution is to only play on Nintendo consoles.
Re: Feature: Best Super Nintendo (SNES) Games
@JohnnyC I feel like Turtles in Time should swap places with MarioKart.
