@MysticX maybe it's the games you tried it on? I also have a lazy eye and further damage to it, but I loved the 3d. Mine was stolen, or I'd still use it I bet
I can't even imagine justifying owning shares in a large company that does this to other, small companies. Maybe I'm the type of moron who actually cares what I invest in, and therefore make no major profit off it, but if I saw this type of behavior, I'd dump those stocks. Not only is it freakishly unethical vulture capitalism, it's just not good business, either.
@EvenStephen7 I wish it had spin-offs more geared towards older audiences. I would absolutely kill for a work-related show, like I NEED to see Chilli's eye roll when Madge is being ridiculous, and I NEED to see Bandit's dig site crew
This game is an instant buy. My 2 sons have opened up to me about emotional struggles that they may have only had the language to articulate, when it was too late to talk about it. I wish you could play as Winton, though...
@CaleBoi25 So, speaking as a former teacher, the deal with Bluey is that it's basically the logical evolution of Steve-era Blue's Clues, but instead of providing primarily linguistic development, Bluey provides emotional development. It's really good, even if you don't have kids, especially Season 2. Basically, the show is about what it means to show respect for feelings regardless of age, what happens if you don't, and how to fix it. The characters all being absolutely adorable, but also shockingly (for kid tv) realistic at times, makes it a very addictive watch. I'd rank it at or near early seasons of Stephen Universe in terms of how it portrays emotional development.
I have played Zelda literally since I was born, starting with ALttP. My mom went into labor and waited for my dad to get home, and played it until he got there.
And BG3 frankly is the better game. I've played every Zelda except cd-i, with less than a handful completed less than 3x, and only a few more than that never 100%'d. BG3 is just that good.
Ludicrous to me that Nintendo, a competitor with the likes of Disney in many ways, still has no decent toys — and the closest option are these overpriced things. For Zelda, in particular, these are actually better than the official action figures, which break way easier and look kind of goofy.
Just partner with things, Nintendo, like ya did with Lego. Hopefully cheaper gimmicks, but I'd take it over the almost-nothing or competing with scalpers for amiibo.
Anyone who hasn't played these, but is not chill with BotW/TotK's change to a less puzzle-driven dungeons adventure, these are quite possibly some of the best dungeons in the series. I would venture to say Ages is even superior to MM in dungeon design, despite that MM is my goat.
@KryptoniteKrunch personally, I'm just here to complain about every article, knowing full well that ad-supported websites like this depend on interactions like my comment, and it doesn't matter what the interaction is
Lol to be srs, ppl big mad about free stuff like wut
@Daniel36 Bought them for my 6 yr old. Loved building them, but he quickly came to realize how little interaction they have with other Legos. Yknow... the entire point of Legos, to him.
2 yr old loves it, but ONLY the Mario figure. Which made me realize, why Lego? Why not just make an action figure that recognizes color out of his gooch? Because it works better with colorful wood building blocks than it does Lego.
Hope he comes with alternate new hair, also hoping the Master Sword has alternate blade with a giant glowing stuffed sandseal stabbed onto the end of it.
@nocdaes nah bruh, Switch's online sucks, yes, but it's (1) intentional because Nintendo knows its audience has way more kids than others, so they're frustratingly but understandably way too cautious, and (2) Fortnite found a way around this. While Daycare-- I mean, Fortnite is far less complex and has a lower threshold than CoD, Epic was willing to find a way because they are aggressive when it comes to the competition, as opposed to Activision, which is mostly competing with its own stupidity.
Huh, I actually did this with my first pot, when I placed it on uneven ground and noticed it moved the pot to flatten it. Picked it up, slapped it to my pirate ship, made a floppy potted plant.
@Phyzzi Whoa. Never heard that before. I just figured it was developing the idea of Souls, instead of bonfires that reset areas by choice, you don't control when areas reset. Not unconvinced that wasn't the idea, but you do make good points, it could be better.
And you're right, it is optimization — the Switch doesn't have enough ram, and a Bloodmoon wipes it, sorta.
@HeftyLaces Throw that around in any serious economics class, see how it goes. Getting the edge with miniscule numbers on competition, especially in ***** entertainment of all things, IS the game. These corporations spend millions in deciding what color their marketing campaigns will use.
Also. Who is complaining? The author here? Because a complaint is just a statement of personal dislike. This is a critique, with a proposed realistic solution. You're not being some devil's advocate, dude. You just sound flippant.
This is extremely well-written and thought provoking. Never had to question if before, but... yeah, almost every game on Xbox and pc I play nowadays has these options. Does Sony? I don't have a PS, so idk.
And Nintendo wonders why they have a piracy problem.
I'm so done with my kid's games falling prey to the worst mtx strategies imaginable, Lego is bad but not even the worst. I want my kid to have fun, not consider how best to navigate a digital casino.
Call me toxic, but I have never seen a person who disclaims Elden Ring in any way be anything other than... well... pretty toxic!
You are more likely to see bad behavior from ppl on reddit, discord pugs, and video services. That is true of everything on those platforms.
But, in-game and in chat spaces that don't incentivize bad behavior, I've gotten nothing but positive experiences from Elden Ring players. They've helped me understand the mechanics, build design, and even pvp has only had a handful of jerks. I've seen one confirmable cheater.
As for From, I don't always agree with their decisions, but, in comparison to other developers, I don't really see a difference. Every segment of the community — from tryhard guide users, hardmode fans, easymode fsns, ... ppl who don't even own the game — the company honestly just seems like it is told that it's wrong by everybody, and they got so big so fast they don't know how to manage their community engagement.
@Astral-Grain Technically, all journalism is filler stories. Technically, your comment is a filler comment. Technically, this is not a filler reply, though.
@SuntannedDuck2 Yeah, my fav subgenre of tactics are those with heroes. Not overpowered, but you have to thread the needle of overdepending on their abilities while also proving you understand the game mechanics by leveraging their abilities at the right moment. Ramza Beoulve comes to mind. Samus could make an interesting hero of this sort.
I've always loved FF Tactics style games like this, where there is a main character who is unique and powerful, and a party of normals. However, I do like that Samus is such a lone wolf. When she is at peak power, normal people cannot be in proximity to her because she is that dangerous.
I'd go for it if cross-save, but the fact is the early game is such a slog. I bought it right when it came out and co-op, at least in my xp, died if you didn't keep up the pace.
The visual upgrades sound awesome, but I'd wait and see reviews before buying. Other games made for lower specs that get this treatment sometimes don't hold up, and Rise was built on Switch. It is arguably THE best AAA game on the platform in terms of visuals, rivaled by Bayonetta 3 and BotW and... that's pretty much it.
@Aventurier Yeah, I picked up two sets of the Daemon cons. The buttons are not as "crisp" I guess, but they're more responsive and the sticks are the perfect size.
@GrailUK it does shine a light on the type of company Sony and MS are. Sony doesn't think Nintendo is in the same market, and they're kind of right — but it's Sony/MS who decided to push themselves out by acting like ths.
@BLD Its not the worst strategy, long term, to keep a mobile and multi-console presence until such a time when Microsoft might open the door to their own mobile console as a bridge between console and PC. They could then capitalize on markets that already rely on all three formats, which is what Sony once sought after, roughly. Though this all assumes MS has the power to focus for more than a fiscal quarter.
@liljmoore If Kirby released a buggy game, there is little I could do to convince my son that he should pick something else. I imagine Pokemon games are similar for a lot of people.
