The old Nintendo E3s were way better than directs. Like dating someone in person verses online only. But seriously for like 5 years straight, before Wii music, Nintendo was killing it.
It's so frustrating that people would think it's a good idea to throw away things people want. Should we really be creating more trash just to keep people from having something they want? All this and Target still says they are an "environmentally conscience" company.
Aside from sales the WiiU was anything but disappointing.
That being said, I got to go to Japan on my honeymoon the day after the switch launched and bought a Japanese version of BOTW. So that was a pretty great launch week indeed.
One is just a green cat, one's just a blue duck, one's just a red doofus. Obviously I'm not impressed with the creativity, but I do get that they are just cute animals. But that doesn't get me excited about them.
I love how versatile the Wii U is. I wish they would make it so the Switch could play all the unique games that appeared on the Wii U. Maybe a Switch U?
@Gwynbleidd they were giftcards for things like fortnight, Apex legends, and other online games I don't play that use microstransactions. I assume they sell them on eBay or somewhere else. Kind of like the scammers that want itunes and Google pay giftcards.
6 of the 12 are remakes or remasters. Most of the other 6 weren't that exciting to me. The OLED is cool but far from exciting. They essentially just put a new screen on the switch. Hopefully Nintendo gets it together next year.
You're busy a troll if you say OoT, BotW, or Skyward Sword are the worst. Or you've only played 2 or 3 Zelda games which would make since if those were the 3 you have played.
@RobotReptile I mostly agree with you and think people miss a lot of these points. But, I think people see those other games as being grinded out to near perfection by the staff not a greedy cooperation. I do think there's a difference between a CEO or CFO saying get this out in six months or you don't get paid because I'll look bad, and one that say get this out in six months and those working on it overwork because they don't want to look bad. Also people shouldn't complain to much when they get things like Cyberpunk, but also complain when things are delayed, but also complain when staff are overworked.
In the end these are businesses that have to put food on the table for everyone. I imagine if they had delayed Cyberpunk they would have had to start firing people. Though, all of these issues could be fixed with better project managers who know how to set development cost and times.
Don't the original switch and the revised switch have different screens? If not they are at least calibrated differently, so maybe he should have a 4th up there.
I do not like the idea of releasing incomplete games only to finish then later. Imagine then releasing Mario Odyssey but added some of the later levels months after release. At least their ***** ton of the hide and seek Luigi seemed completely out of the blue, but like it was part of what the original game should have had At least it wasn't Cyberpunk.
Didn't Bravely Default 2 also come out in that time frame?
I'm only an hour into Neo but I'm really enjoying it so far. Though it probably wouldn't have sold well but they should have put the remaster on Wii U.
It's ok. Pretty passive gameplay which is nice. But, nothing too exciting about it all in all. For instance all you get for community day is a badge, not even a special Pikmin if I understand correctly.
Please be another Wii U! Though I really doubt it will happen. But it's an amazing transition of the DS to the living room. Though... I still think they could do a switch type portable with wireless connection to a TV though a hub plugged into the TV.
@nessisonett 2049 was definitely but needed but the cinematography, special effects, and acting were all amazing. I don't remember the last time I was so impressed with special effects and cinematography. Of course that's not all that makes a movie, but I greatly enjoyed the plot as well. Even if it wasn't a necessary sequel.
@nessisonett Did you see Blade Runner 2049? The director was shocked they let him make another film after doing poorly in the box office. Though the film was amazing in many ways. Maybe they let him keep his film, Dune, as long as the company got to sell toys and put characters in Fortnite etc?
I got the free Piranha Plant... But those prices are absurd. If every original fighter and level read the price of the DLC you'd have to pay over $400 for the game.
If they had made the normal NSO more with it I could see people thinking this may be good. But with the slow trickle of mediocre games for the NES and SNES it's hard to believe this will be great.

Re: Wingspan: European Expansion Takes Flight On Switch Soon
So wingspan is great. Unfortunately there are more than a few broken, OP, birds that if someone gets early own they will almost definitely win.
Re: Hands On: Nintendo Switch Sports Has Great Highs, But Disappointing Lows
Give me switch sports resort and then I'd be all in.
Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of The Chrono Cross Remaster
Something of a disappointment, unless you weren't expecting much from Square Enix then it's pretty much exactly what you expected.
Re: The Wii U Gets Another New Game As 2.5D Platformer 'Pad Of Time' Launches Next Week
Wii U is most definitely life. I still play mine daily with my family.
Re: Video: Check Out This Japan-Only Club Nintendo Game You Likely Never Heard Of
If only they would have made it so the Switch could dock wirelessly to a TV. The Wii U was just ahead of it's time.
Re: Review: Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - A Fair Port For Chrono Trigger's Follow-Up
Well the price point makes more sense now. Unfortunately I kind of expected a lack luster port coming from Squenix, so this comes at no surprise.

Re: Talking Point: Now That Zelda: BOTW 2 Is Off The Table, Should Holiday 2022 Belong To Mario?
I don't care I'll still be playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3. But I'd love a new 3D Donkey Kong to be honest

Re: Feature: Is It Worth Importing A Japanese 3DS For These Virtual Console Games?
If I knew Japanese I might consider it. Though maybe not since the games I'm most interested in have remakes or they have remakes coming soon.

@VoidofLight exactly! And people are always mean when I say that Tetris on Gameboy is the best RPG ever made. It's really just a personal preference.

Best RPG ever made? More like best game ever made.
