Nintendo has to bring back Dragalia Lost.

Having this revealed at a Nintendo Direct was a very good call. Not only Nintendo fans now have a chance to experience these games, but Directs have way more views than say EVO in general.

They get now get support from Nintendo through more funding and hardware tools. They were likely scooped by Nintendo because they were able to get those games running on Switch. And now they have access to all the resources to making even better ports.

@Serpenterror You say that, but KH is one of SE's biggest sellers along with FF and DQ. And we're up to 16 mainline Final Fantasies and 12 mainline Dragon Quests.

They'll keep coming regardless if you dislike it.

@shgamer Nintendo does not need PC, and not for a very very long time. They need better 3rd party support if they really want to go for the big titles like FFVIIR or XVI, Street Fighter, or even CoD. And having a dedicated port studio will help.

@shgamer It's so they can have better 3rd party support in the future. Imagine this scenario:

FFVIIR coming to Switch would be too much for Square to handle. Nintendo can redirect them to Shiver for their expertise on porting.

This also means Shiver has Nintendo's support with budget and resources which will help them understand the hardware even greatly.

ARMS came and gone once Smash came out.
Astral Chain, while did sell pretty well, still falls under a niche genre.

Last Nintendo IP that popped off hard was Splatoon.

@Maximumbeans Well it's because it is a game with good gameplay, charming characters & art, bopping music, and tells compelling stories. It never hurts to try since it's free.

@Ryu_Niiyama It's pretty rare for gachas to have their stories come to a proper conclusion. Most of the time they just drag it on or release chapters slowly to prolong a live service. (ex. Granblue Fantasy)
