The new armor looks bad. Fill it out with more of those red bits to cover her up more if you're going to do that. Make her armor look more like the male warrior's armor to fill in so it looks cool.
@LikelySatan I guess you just don't know that much about Gothic 1. To get you started the game uses exclusively keyboard tank controls on the arrow keys where strafe is set to Delete and Page Down, and to pick up an item you have to press the action button and then forward.
Gothic is a classic but I think it's out of wavelength from how people tend to think about video games today. If you aren't attuned to how they game wants you to play you are going to have a VERY bad time.
It's one of those games where you are not the all powerful conquering hero, you're some messenger who got dumped into prison and most things in the game are stronger than you at the start. If you can get into that mindset you'll probably like the game, but calling it a "classic" without qualifying statements doesn't sit right with me, since the game seems to be designed to ignore most action RPG conventions.
For a game that is likely going to have DLC and stuff, no. The reason games are getting more expensive despite us having better tools to make them is that the games industry at large has extremely high employee turnover rates so a huge amount of the more costly modern video games market is just training new employees after you've dumped the old ones into an asylum.
Subspace Emissary wasn't my favorite, I would have preferred an expansion of the Smash Melee Adventure Mode's themed platformer maps. But would take it any day of the week over World of Light. I remember Pauline from world of light, EXTREMELY frustrating, and then once you start using one item, three hits, less than ten seconds, nobody else really has time to do anything. World of Light was huge but it was a giant imbalanced mess that couldn't even let me use my favorite spirits throughout the whole thing because they would become too weak.
IMO it needed a system where you were rewarded for breaking weapons. Like your weapon broke and now you have a resource based on that weapon, break like 5 of the same type and you can pay rupees to rebuild a new weapon that is a tier up from the broken bits or something.
When thinking about AI art it's important to remember that right now you can train and run it on consumer grade hardware for free. There are easily over a hundred models that are just free, and the software to run them will even run turnkey on a used 125$-150$ graphics card. Training a model on one thing like your face or a specific character can take about 20 images and less than an hour and dreambooth is incredibly turnkey.
I can see emulating the PS3/360, and even to some extent now the PS4/Xbone, but consoles that are actively being sold right now? That just kinda feels bad.
I am deeply concerned and curious as to what they're going to do with the toads. Because if there is anybody other than goombas that could get a minion style makeover it's them, possibly even with full on N64 Toad voice.
If there is one thing that I have gotten really really tired of in the past couple years it's "remasters" where they just kinda haphazardly release a game on newer platforms with basic touchups that you could get from mods inside of days of the game's release.
This makes me kinda worried that the game is going to be buggy and kinda crap at release. This sounds like a heavy "wait for reviews" situation for me.
Sega has a history of screwing over their big releases with deadlines and mandates from management. Keep an eye on how much they're talking about the game in the coming months because that's a good indication as to how confident they are in the product.
From what I've seen of the game, it just looks really cheap, like they skimped out on things as basic as "turning". Whenever I watch somebody play if they aren't drifting they tend to twitch back and forth because of the controls.
I thought to myself "Total War Warhammer 3 is a surefire bet, I've got a great computer and I should be able to run this and the pre-release stuff has allowed me to watch many hours of gameplay" and then they slapped Denuvo onto the game and even with a computer well above the recommended specs the game ran like garbage.
I pre-ordered GTA-5, that seemed like a surefire bet, turns out steam had an issue and you needed twice the space of the entire game to unpack the pre-load, I didn't have that and was on metered internet.
The more I look at the AAA games industry the worse an idea pre-ordering sounds(hello Gran Turismo 7).
Just keep in mind this is Interplay we're talking about here I haven't heard anything good about them for nearly 20 years, and the last thing I heard about them before this was them pulling a scam kickstarter where they were basically kickstarting a kickstarter for another kickstarter(that never happened) where you were donating to get access to a forum that never materialized. And all they did with that was literally just steal the money.
If you're talking about the human characters, nope they're fine, if you're talking about "meh meh meh meh meh" and how the Nopon talk then we have a problem.
Wut? How can you screw this up? You know literally every single aspect of every piece of hardware used for this. There is literally nothing outside of your control. Also just the idea of a cloud version in the first place is just bad.
They charge you more if they grade a higher grade game. So of course they're going to grade things higher than they should be, they get paid MORE if every piece of garbage is a SSS 9.9999 mint condition worth 2.5 million dollars in auction(due to market manipulation by the same people running an auction company)
Even if they were holding that other model in their hands they wouldn't say that they had another model in the works because that would kill sales for the OLED switch.
Of course it's fine for somebody to do a co-stream without any of the actual content of the e3 direct in it. Nintendo literally does not have any control over that AT ALL, if they tried to take control over that they would get the easiest to lose court case in history.
I like the idea of the game, but if there was a character I would take out of my party without thinking about it if given the chance it would be Mario, just like I would never play as Mario in SMB2 or almost any game other than smash bros where he's an option. From a character perspective I would rather have the party led by Luigi or Peach rather than Mario.
as evidenced by a bunch of recent live service games and Amazon trying to get into gaming, you need more than business sense to make profitable games. This isn't like making a TV show where if it's bad you can still sit back and say watch a MST3k of it or something, or enjoy it for how bad it is. A bad game can range from "This is the most miserable experience I've ever intentionally tried to do" to "this crashes every time I try and do this mission and puts me back at the start of the mission." and then it repeats until you're just too tired of the repetition.
All it would take is one single game to fail at sales, likely because of an EA management decision they force on every studio(hello frostbyte engine) that screws up a game and they'll be working as a support dev to push out Battlefield games until they shrivel up and die.
It's not going to make the problem go away, but it's a good idea. You shouldn't hand something that you can dump 100$ into in one go to your kid, just like you shouldn't hand a kid a gun, it's a gun even with some kind of safety on it you shouldn't be letting a kid handle it.
I'll be interested in hearing about when they get shut down because EA forced them to use Frostbyte to make a 2d co-op only horror comedy AAA low budget story based among us clone that's also a soccer battle royale game.
They just didn't cast the right person to play Bosco, I don't know if this was the director's fault or the VA's fault but he just really lacked energy in his performance and delivery. I hope they do a better job with Seasons 2 and 3. Honestly I think the guy they got could work for this but he needs to bump things up.
At the very least they need to be open about changing stuff like this from the start because it doesn't help their case to justify it retroactively like they did.
This is the kind of situation where it doesn't even need to be a lot of people doing this, if what you're doing is being viewed by hundreds of thousands of people if only 1% are being really nasty then that's thousands of people being nasty, that's enough to overwhelm anybody.
The problem with all of these mini handhelds that are directly cut down from normal consoles is the heat and the battery life, because it's just using what was supposed to be plugged into a wall with a fan the heat output is nasty and it drains whatever batteries you can put in there VERY quickly.
Metacritic just isn't trustworthy because they'll make up scores for games that have none. The best way to use metacritic is to use it as an aggregator for links to actual reviews and pay attention to what those say.
@johnvboy The point of having unlimited payment models for things like Roblox is that you lose track of how much you spend on it. That's predatory microtransaction systems working as intended, you will never be able to spend more than X amount of money on Breath of the Wild, but it's easy to find that you've spent three times as much or more on a "free to play" game.
I get that Mario is popular and all, but why do people keep banging their head against this again and again? Just make some kind of Brooklyn mechanic platformer and be done with it.
I'd be happy with a 720p screen that has a really good battery life and consistent 1080p docked. If I ask myself what I really want, I want less plastic in important parts of the machine like those parts of joy cons that wear out and drift.
