Re: Nintendo 3DS Production Has Officially Come To An End

My favourite console ever. I got the original black version on my birthday 9 years ago an its still going strong. It's been through so much with me, and if it does eventually break il do my best to get it fixed.
It has some of my favourite games of all time; Zelda Ocarina 3D, Zelda Majora's Mask 3D, Smash Bros, Super Mario Land 2, Pokemon Red & Blue.
I've got to give a shout out to some of the underrated titles on the platform like; Heroes of Ruin, Shantae and the Pirates Curse (best Shantae game), Xeodrifter, Rune Factory 4, and Demetium Remastered.
I hope the console isn't Nintendos last dual screen system, but if it is the 3ds is a great way to go out.

RIP 3ds. 2011-2020.

@Brianst0rm I would love a 3d zelda collection and I think you're right that Aonuma wouldn't want to spite his fan base unlike what has happened with mario, and nintendo in general this year. Saying that however, I cant see them putting four games in the collection, I'd say three max. It would be amazing if they were based on the 3ds updates, but it's probably more likely that they'll be cleaned up n64 versions with better frame rate (I hope).

Re: Rare Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary

Using that image of their old ip is a disgrace. Use those franchises then. Rare haven't done anything even mediocre in more than a decade. They are an absolute embarrassment. I'm sorry but the only reason I'm emoting is because I care about the company. But they are an absolute joke nowadays.

Re: Rumour: Concept Art Of Axed Sheik And Boo Projects By Retro Studios Surfaces

BongoBongo123

Apart from the confusion in lore, the Sheik artwork looks really cool and you can tell concepts might have been taken from this and included in Twilight Princess (twili) and Breath of the wild (early guardian concept art). I would love a sheikh action rpg, whether you play as Sheik or not. I would like the character to be female though, we've mainly had sheikahs being female in the mainline zelda games.

I wonder if Nintendo canned this because it was too story based. As in didn't follow Nintendos design philosophy.

Re: Feature: Zelda: Majora's Mask At 20 - The Enduring Appeal Of Nintendo's Strangest Game

BongoBongo123

I got the original for xmas when I was 10. I expected a relaxed, whimsical adventure like ocarina of time. I got to great bay temple an gave up because I found the time system too harsh.

Years later I finally finished it on an emulator and began to appreciate that the anxiety inducing time system is part of what makes it so great. The way you interact with npcs and the rich lives they lead is so adhead of it's time.

I also played and finished it on wii and it plays so well with a gamecube controller. The 3d version is also great. I think the quality of life additions make it an even better, more accessible game. I've got the limited edition which should be worth a bit in a few years.

C'mon Nintendo now all we need is for you to release the original ocarina of time and majoras mask on the switch eshop.

Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade - The Best Games On Nintendo Systems 2010-2019

BongoBongo123

Imo Mario Odyssey is overrated. The core adventure is only 15 hours long and the moons you collect feel too insignificant because of how many there are. Galaxy, Mario 64 and even Sunshine are more hearty adventures and progress feels more substantial compared to Odyssey. I've tried to go back and return to the levels to collect more moons but there isn't enough incentive. Am I missing something?

Apart from that I'm happy Ocarina 3d and Breath of the wild are in the top 10, they're probably my most played games of the decade.

Re: Feature: Pokémon Sword And Shield: What UK Locations Are The Towns In Galar Based On?

BongoBongo123

@BulbasaurusRex I don't remember any major bugs that made me think less of the experience. The game wasn't anywhere near 'broken'. Imo even if it was unbalanced it didn't matter, everyone was on the same level. With online play and the multiple complicated systems in the new games it makes them hard to understand and just not worth 59 quid. Plus the stories of pokemon games are so poor and silly (putting it nicely). They wanna go deep with the ideas about saving the universe when what they should be expressing is the issue with the main characters rival (they should make him a dick again basically).

Re: Poll: Have You Ever Had Problems With Nintendo Hardware?

BongoBongo123

I've had so many problems with my Switch. Joy-con drifting, dock doesn't work (I even sent it in and they sent it back without being fixed), doesn't charge 100% of the time. I think that the Switch is the most unreliable console ive ever owned.

BUT

The Switch is fast, much faster than the wii u. The battery life isn't bad and the whole 'switch' concept is great when you have friends around (even to play in tabletop mode).

Also, my 3ds is over 8 years old and I've never had a problem with it. Most reliable system I've ever owned.
