Re: Best Nintendo Switch Graphics - The Most Beautiful Switch Games

BlubberWhale

Great list (I would have raged if Link’s Awakening was snubbed lol) but if you count Wii U ports, those are still some of the best looking games; 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Captain Toad, DK:TF... and sure, MK8D too, why not.

I’d count Pikmin 3 if it ran at 1080p... come on, I’m still not happy about that lol. (Guess in handheld its fine... at least I think it’s 720p in handheld.)

@AmplifyMJ ā€œEveryone deserves to see themselves.ā€ How about everyone deserves to make the art they want to make? What I’m getting at is it’s weird for creators to force characters of a certain orientation just to target demographics, however, if those characters are springing from their desire to tell a story with that type of character, than great, go for it.

Re: Suda51 Talks No More Heroes 3, Switch Motion Controls And More

BlubberWhale

@Moistnado Yeah... been interested in this series since the Wii original, and I’m rooting for it, but I tend to agree... but, as you know, other games are way more offensive in this regard, and I’m hoping to get around to playing them eventually. (I’d like to support NMH3, but it will probably have to wait for next year.)

Re: Poll: Did Nintendo Deliver Its Best Ever Indie World Showcase?

BlubberWhale

@Anti-Matter Start with Wind Waker if you ever decide to try it. (Unless you like the top down style better, than maybe Link to the Past or Link’s Awakening. I think I’d messed around with OoT a bit, but WW was when I really discovered why people love the series. (Went back and finished OoT and loved that one too, but anyway, no worries, you don’t need to like Zelda.)

Re: Poll: Did Nintendo Deliver Its Best Ever Indie World Showcase?

@Anti-Matter I voted that I didn’t like a single game mainly because while some looked mildly amusing, or even good (Tetris), I wasn’t exactly reaching for my wallet. Which is good. Already have my picks for the year pretty much locked in (Fatal Frame, Mystik Belle: Enchanted Edition, Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute... maybe something else...) šŸ¤” Of course that list may change if Nintendo drops Wind Waker or some other surprise on us soon.

Re: Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Reportedly Heading To Switch

BlubberWhale

@BanjoPickles A bit of a downer comment lol, but I completely agree. Maybe I just wasn’t the hugest GTA3 fan, but what excitement I got out of it was mostly how open and immersive, and... just real it felt at the time. I wouldn’t get that feeling today from 3... but I might with the current GTA since I haven’t really played that type of game since I messed around with 3 at my buddy’s place one hundred years ago.

When I read the article title, I was half hoping GTA2 would be in there somehow... and for cheeeeap.

Anyway, maybe I’d have a bunch of fun, who knows. I’d like to see noticeable enhancements though before I’d ever consider bothering...

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Business Remains Strong, But Is The Bloom Off Switch Lite?

BlubberWhale

Poll question wasn’t exactly one size fits all, I don’t ā€œexpect to pay for a Switch Liteā€ at all, but I predict it will remain $200 for this year, so that’s what I voted. I think a price drop would be good, but honestly 200 is fairly reasonable. I think the main Switch with it’s cheapo plastic dock and flimsy Joy-Cons should take a price cut before the Lite. I say $250 for the ā€œoldā€ model and the OLED should have become the new standard model at $300. Of course none of that will happen, and I’m terrible concerned about it as I’m still happy with my current Switch (standard), even with its faults and hefty price point. (I’m someone who considers a Pro Controller essential, not to mention good SNES style controllers for games requiring D-pads.)

Re: Video: Natsume Releases Trailer For Pocky & Rocky Reshrined, Plus Autumn Release Date

BlubberWhale

@KateGray Hmm... but is it really a sequel? There’s a comparison video on YouTube and a lot of the stage layouts and enemy sequences seem directly lifted from the original... plus, the Reshrined title lends to this one being more of an extensive remaster, a reimagining, or a remake... or heck, a reboot. But... IDK maybe it’s more sequel-y then it seems and we just need to see more. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
