Have they mentioned these games being available to buy normally too? Or they're really exclusive to people that subscribe and you can't 'own' them anymore? All I want is Zelda and Mario 3 from the NES.
Ahhh, 3D Fighting Action Game. I think it isn't a fighting game like DOA and more like Kill la Kill or Jump whatever, a 3D Battle Arena Fighter thing. It'd be cool if it was DOA6 though, the time frame fits and it'll be on Steam too. I wonder how much they'd have to sacrifice visually for it though, it's already looking pretty nice in it's early build...
My friend and I both bought Splatoon 2 since it was on sale, we were really enjoying it until we tried to play together, which apparently two people can't do during Splatfest... Such a stupid decision by Nintendo. At least have normal Turf War available so we could play a different mode
Damn it, the Switch was finally an opportunity to own a ton of old Nintendo games and have the freedom to play them on a TV or portably. I don't want to subscribe and have online features added, I just want the original games to buy!
I wouldn't mind if it was a port since I didn't play the Wii U ver. but the way the game was announced has me expecting a new title. Not that it'll look that much better than the Wii U build or play very differently... But they need something new and exciting after all those ports for the latter part of the year
Whilst the soundtrack worked in the game, the music was the only thing I found disappointing about Breath of the Wild, because it's not something I'd listen to outside of the game, unlike other Zelda OSTs
Did the first Bayonetta actually do poorly on 360 and PS3 then? It's one of my favourite 360 games and I preferred it over everything else in the genre like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. It has always baffled me how if it didn't sell well on two popular platforms they decided the right move was to release the sequel on the Wii U... It can't have sold well there. Still, I'm just glad we're getting more of them.
No Japanese audio was the only thing holding me back from buying this game. The 'Launch Day DLC' doesn't mean it's a preorder bonus is it? I can buy the game at my leisure and download the JP track?
Metroid Prime 4! No footage so for all we know this one doesn't have Samus in it either! Can't believe they dropped this and a Switch Pokemon with no images or trailers or anything. So... anticlimactic.
The way I see it Nintendo are spreading their releases for the Switch out. No reason we couldn't have had Mario Kart, Pokken and Smash Brox DX ready for launch but it makes sense to prevent a game drought. I could see them releasing Switch versions next year in a quiet month... though I'd prefer for them to make a completely new Gen Pokemon for Switch.
They'd be stupid not to build on what they've achieved. I'd be happy with a traditional one as well though, I think we might get a 2D top-down, traditional Zelda at some point but the 3D ones will continue the route Breath of the Wild has started.
Love Radiant Historia, I consider it the best game on the DS. A sequel would be amazing. Or if it happens to be a remake hopefully it sells well enough for a sequel to follow...
What. I assumed it would just be playable all weekend not just for an hour here and there... Well I hope I can actually play during those times and they don't have any problems.
So if I hold the joycon behind my back the connection isn't stable. Just for the left one. I of course wouldn't play a game this way so not too brothers but is it an issue? I assume all joycon would be impaired if used his way or is mine actually faulty compared to someone else's and it could be worth getting s replacement?
This game finally has me wanting to buy some amiibo. Unfortunately the main two I want (OoT link and Smash Bros link) are out of stock... How likely is it that they'll be restocked? Am I just too late?
Damn, I was expecting it to run better in portable mode like Zelda but nope. Wish we could have seen Switch vs PS3, I'd like to know exactly where it falls, far above PS3 and just below XB1 ideally... The first Dragon Quest Heroes game was really fun and the second looks to have improved on it. PS4 is the clear choice though.
So much for 'I'll be buying most of my games physically, I don't need a massive memory card...' Liking the look of this game a lot, not too expensive either by the sounds of it. Just what the launch lineup needed.
I needed more bag space so spent my first £2 on the ge. I figured I played enough of the game to warrant it. Kind of amazed they didn't give us more bag and Pokemon space anyway after adding everything for Gen 2. No new starter either : /
I really was expecting a lot more official information on the system to be available by now. In fact I expected it back before preorders opened. With only two weeks to go I'm starting to think it might just not be coming.
Considering the image quality on the PSVR isn't as good as I'd expected and I'm expecting a second iteration to address that I really don't see how the Switch screen could leave a good impression...
The price for the console is fine. I wasn't expecting to get a joycon grip at all or the strap add-ons. The price for 1,2 Switch is not fine. Who's gonna pay full game price for it? Even though it looks like a lot of fun, they're just mini games. If it was either packed in or much cheaper people would love it.
Yeah... I couldn't see it running well on the Switch. A shame for people that aren't able to play it, it was a really good game. I suppose you can pretty much cross FFVII off the list as well... Something I was wondering before when DQXI was announced, there's a Switch version right? But will it be a downgrade of the PS4 ver or an upgrade of the 3DS ver?
It's weird, MGSV and Final Fantasy XV look stunning then there are loads of other Japanese studios where their PS4 games all look like PS3/Vita games. The 3DS hasn't helped either. This is solely visuals of course not the games themselves but it makes a lot of Western games look more appealing and higher 'quality'.
The way I read this it'll be the same game as all the other versions, just optimised specifically for the Switch's capabilities. It'll be interesting to actually have a mutli=platform game so we can finally judge just how close/far the Switch is from other consoles. Local multiplayer still sounds like a great feature for the Switch regardless.
I think the hardware looks like it'll be great. I wish we knew more about how the announced games would make use of the joycon features though. HD rumble I really don't 'get' and since Zelda doesn't utilise it and 1,2, Switch is too expensive I guess my next game would be Mario Kart, if that uses it for anything : / Or Bomberman, I wonder if that uses it in any way.
I'm incredibly excited to get the new Zelda and a Switch but I don't own a Wii U. If you don't care about Zelda enough to buy a whole new system for it or you already own a Wii U there really isn't enough of a reason to get the Switch at launch... There's nothing else really compelling to pick up day 1. I love Bomberman but would I buy a £280 console for it? Nope. Every game being released except 1,2 Switch (which lets face it, is a bunch of over-priced mini-games regardless of how fun it is) and Bomberman you can already buy on a different console, they're just sequels/remakes/ports. There isn't even an FPS, driving game or fighting game at launch which amazes me. It feels like either Nintendo didn't give developers enough notice to make games for the launch or all of them are waiting to make sure it sells better than the Wii U before committing. That said... If Nintendo sell out of their launch day supply then get more people buying when Mario Kart is released the month after maybe this won't affect them long-term.
