Re: Japanese Job Listings Suggest A New 3D Fighter Is In Development For Switch

AyanamiReign

Ahhh, 3D Fighting Action Game. I think it isn't a fighting game like DOA and more like Kill la Kill or Jump whatever, a 3D Battle Arena Fighter thing.
It'd be cool if it was DOA6 though, the time frame fits and it'll be on Steam too. I wonder how much they'd have to sacrifice visually for it though, it's already looking pretty nice in it's early build...

Re: Hideki Kamiya Shares Background of Bayonetta 3 Development

AyanamiReign

Did the first Bayonetta actually do poorly on 360 and PS3 then?
It's one of my favourite 360 games and I preferred it over everything else in the genre like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden.
It has always baffled me how if it didn't sell well on two popular platforms they decided the right move was to release the sequel on the Wii U... It can't have sold well there.
Still, I'm just glad we're getting more of them.

Re: There Are Currently 'No Plans' For Final Fantasy XV On Nintendo Switch

AyanamiReign

Yeah... I couldn't see it running well on the Switch. A shame for people that aren't able to play it, it was a really good game.
I suppose you can pretty much cross FFVII off the list as well...
Something I was wondering before when DQXI was announced, there's a Switch version right? But will it be a downgrade of the PS4 ver or an upgrade of the 3DS ver?

Re: EA Confirms Vancouver Team Will Produce FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch

AyanamiReign

The way I read this it'll be the same game as all the other versions, just optimised specifically for the Switch's capabilities.
It'll be interesting to actually have a mutli=platform game so we can finally judge just how close/far the Switch is from other consoles. Local multiplayer still sounds like a great feature for the Switch regardless.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Countdown - Considering the Joy-Con

AyanamiReign

I think the hardware looks like it'll be great. I wish we knew more about how the announced games would make use of the joycon features though. HD rumble I really don't 'get' and since Zelda doesn't utilise it and 1,2, Switch is too expensive I guess my next game would be Mario Kart, if that uses it for anything : / Or Bomberman, I wonder if that uses it in any way.

Re: Editorial: No, Nintendo Switch Isn't Having a 'Soft Launch', But The Perception is a Problem

AyanamiReign

I'm incredibly excited to get the new Zelda and a Switch but I don't own a Wii U.
If you don't care about Zelda enough to buy a whole new system for it or you already own a Wii U there really isn't enough of a reason to get the Switch at launch...
There's nothing else really compelling to pick up day 1. I love Bomberman but would I buy a £280 console for it? Nope.
Every game being released except 1,2 Switch (which lets face it, is a bunch of over-priced mini-games regardless of how fun it is) and Bomberman you can already buy on a different console, they're just sequels/remakes/ports. There isn't even an FPS, driving game or fighting game at launch which amazes me. It feels like either Nintendo didn't give developers enough notice to make games for the launch or all of them are waiting to make sure it sells better than the Wii U before committing.
That said... If Nintendo sell out of their launch day supply then get more people buying when Mario Kart is released the month after maybe this won't affect them long-term.
